We are working hard to prepare the area for your visit, some areas might look less than perfect but we keep it safe for you and your furry companions. Nurtured by Nature is a thriving kids summer day camp but currently off season so we are open 7 days a week. So for the safety of the kids and respect to their families we are unable to have the area available while the day camp is open. This is for only 6 weeks in the summer. IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD Hi there, we are Between The Lakes Family Farm in Canfield (15 minutes south of Binbrook). Our farm is located on 100 acres of beautifully scenic property and we have opened 26 acres of that space for you to explore. Our property is on predominantly flat elevation with trails, multiple fields and roughly 7 acres of forest. While the forest can be dense in spots, it is very walkable and presents a lovely spot to hike through. We have 5 ponds as well as a stream that runs the width of our property and travels through the forest. We have a myriad of wildlife that you may see or encounter during your adventures here. These could include (but are not limited to) great blue herons, muskrats, rabbits, geese, ducks, deer and coyotes. We do have livestock and a guardian dog on the property (they are fully fenced) as well as family pets so please respect their space and ensure your dogs are leashed anytime you are nearing the barn, paddock or barnyard areas.

Welcome to our Sniffspot! We offer a pesticide free, beautiful and unfenced 5 acre area for you and your dogs. We offer free parking, access to nearby conservation trails, picnic tables, and a beautiful apple orchard to enjoy. During business hours of noon - 6 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday, we also offer clean restrooms, hard, farm fresh cider, snacks and indoor seating. This is it!! One of the biggest and closest spots to the GTA. Everything in one place. First, we have a fully fenced dog park with some play structures, shelter, and a picnic table. Then our unfenced site consisting of 60 acres of fields, ponds, and trails. You may use either site during your visit. Trails are more like hiking in the woods and not suited for bikes or any other equipment. Large pond where your dogs would love to swim for hours. You can park your vehicle near the pond. Sorry for safety reasons the Paddle boats are not for public use. Rubber boots are recommended in spring, winter, or rainy days. Trails get muddy when wet. Guests, please, pick up after your dogs. Drop trash in the big metal bin on the way out. Enjoy the tree swings, muskoka chairs, and solitude. Do not go on the trails past the pond. They do not belong to this spot, and other dogs and people could be present.

On our 26 acre hobby farm, we have a 6 acre fully fenced farm field/dog park. Ride up and park at the white barn, and walk your leashed puppers to the field past our gardens, woodlots, and ponds. From the barn to the dog park you will get familiar with our surroundings and other fences. There is access to the forest and two ponds on the property. Crossing through the tree line, you have private access to the 6-acre field. Four-foot tall fencing is installed for your security. The best time to come is May to September. Come walk between the sunflower rows that grow up to 10 feet tall in the late summer! We cut the field between the sunflowers, make trails and play spots. We also leave big areas untouched for our honeybees (hives located in the other field). Enjoy seeing natural landscapes, trees, and privacy. Have fun, play catch and let your animal have unleashed freedom! We have uploaded a printable "safety map" for each season, that contains a legend for your use. Note the fire pit is not available during the winter season. Park has one main gate. This season we will also be placing picnic tables with a BBQ for large groups. I recommend booking the summer weekends in advance as they will fill up fast! Fencing Details: The 6-acre Dog Park Field is permanently fenced with approximately 2,500 linear feet of 4’ tall farm fence. The farm fence consists of professionally installed 2” by 4” squares of wire mesh (commonly used for smaller livestock such as sheep, donkey, cows, etc) and cedar posts. If you look at the photos you can see the locations of the gate on the main photo or on “safety map” (see photos and captions). We have more fencing on other parts of the property outside of our dog park in case your dog does not have good recall. Refer to the safety map (see photos). You’ll have a set of private trails to yourself, with large open fields perfect for training or games of tag! Surrounded by a meadow and a mixed deciduous & evergreen forest, both you and your dog will feel completely at peace with options for being in the sun and shade! Your dog can even go for a splash & drink in the stream or ponds! (2) adults are allowed with the dogs for a Sniffspot booking. Up to (3) children, under 18, may accompany them. When the hay is high and close to being cut, the outer headlands of the fields will be cut down to make walking easier. Just outside of the city, private space to let your pup run, train and just enjoy being outside.

We have plenty of space for running around, playing frisbee, fetch, swimming.. whatever your fur baby is after. We are a small farm, which means we have chickens, ducks and goats. We keep our animals in their coops when fur friends are visiting. ***please note; we require notice at least one day in advance if the animals are to be kept in their coops. Otherwise we let them free range*** The creek has an easy entry location. It’s shallow water at that spot. Deeper water in other areas. Our property is sprayed using a food grade insect deterrent. Plus our chickens free range when there are no dogs around. This means very minimal tick sightings. We have children, so expect some toys around. If you’re bringing children, they’re welcome to play on the play structure. (Pending parental approval and supervision). Plenty of muskoka chairs to relax in while your fur baby plays. The road isn’t right beside the area where fur friends run, however it is accessible from the yard. If you have a dog that’s a flight risk or likes to chase cars, this isn’t the right spot for you. We have lots of dog friends that visit unleashed and listen well to their owners with no issues. Any questions, please ask!

This is an open yard, but we have made a dog park like fenced in for our dogs. Raised Dog bed, toys, bowls and poop bags available. Agility equipment available upon request. Spring pole available with a soft mat at the bottom to prevent doggies from injuries. Feel free to use the rest of the yard outside of the fence. Your pets are welcome to use the tree house to run up and down from as ours do. You can fill up the kids pool for a cool down, sit and watch your pet explore and burn up some of that brain energy while sniffing every corner of our fenced in yard. The open field and trees behind us allows for wild friends to also entertain you at times. No direct neighbours have pets, so you and your fur babies can enjoy our space without stress. You are welcome to leave your pets mess that you have picked up in the bin available to you and please be sure to close the gates and ensure that it is well latched as you enter and as you leave. You are welcome to site and watch from the lower deck, from the fire pit area or while sitting in a muskoka chair on the stone patio. We just ask that the upper deck remain close and off limits to you and your pet as our own pets are most likely inside watching. We understand some dogs prefer to have to have a human friend vs a fur friend, and that is okay with us as our fur babies prefer us over fur friends as well. Please leave the space as you found it, if something get broken please pick it up and let us know so that we can be sure to check it before our pets go play outback. We hope you will enjoy the fresh air and open space as we do.

Nice grass field but muddy I have a hose to wash paws off Water. Bowls on deck. Open space side and back yard. Also have a wooded path that goes about 800 feet. Not manicured. But walkable hardwoods. Then goes into a pine woods. Quiet area

We have a good .5 acres (a field) in the back of our house. Easy access from Strickler Rd. Property is not fenced in...take a stroll around the Barn if you would like. We do own 3 dogs but they are always leashed when they go outside...and they are very friendly dogs.
