At the Artsy Dog Place you can take the leash off and as your puppy enjoys the freedom of exploring, you can tap into your own artistic talents. Art supplies are available near the picturesque shed, allowing you to unleash your creativity while your dog runs up and down the hill. Leave your mark on the shed, whether it's a message, a signature, or a whimsical drawing or paint a rock and help us start our collection! It's a place where dreams take shape, fostering a sense of togetherness and inspiration. Thoughtfully designed with your pet's safety in mind. It is securely fenced. With 2 sides of the fence, standing 6 feet tall, while the other two sides are fenced at 4 & 5 feet in height. This ensures that your dog can freely enjoy their playtime while staying safely contained. As you enjoy the serene surroundings, you might hear chickens, roosters and goats in the distance and catch glimpses of squirrels and hawks. And if you're lucky, maybe even a curious gopher or two. Nature truly thrives here! When you arrive, simply park horizontally next to the fence and enter through our black metal door, which will be open for your convenience. Doggy bags are available for your use, ensuring a clean and enjoyable experience for everyone. We also offer Homemade bug repellent. Feel free to use it, be aware that some of the ingredients may cause irritation/allergy. Ingredients: Rosemary, lavender and citronella grown in our property, lavender and citrus oil, cloves, water, alcohol, organic soap. Please be aware that a lot of ground squirrels live on the property, so there may be some holes, please dress appropriately when you visit (no heels recommended). We also kindly request that you maintain a distance of at least 5 feet from our neighbor's fence, located at the top end of the property. Our neighbor values their privacy greatly, and we aim to ensure a harmonious environment for everyone. Country and forest life, rolled into one! Located in Wildwood Canyon, near Wildwood Canyon State Park with beautiful large Ancient Black Oak Trees that tower over our spot for natural shade. We have been Sniffspot hosts for over a year and have even been featured in Sniffspot promotional videos for unique host properties and experiences, along with being a top spot. With a fully fenced area for your fur babies (big and small) to run and explore. While pup parents can sit and relax, walk around the grounds, take a hike on our small backtrail, or swing, it is perfect for pups, adults, and children to enjoy (especially during the summer and snowy months). If your fur baby needs water after so much excitement and play, please feel free to give them water (which is accessible throughout the property), so they have a restful trip home. ❤️ We take pride in giving our fur visitors the best possible experience, along with keeping their human parents in mind. We set out some extras for not only the pups, but also the humans, without any extra charge. Our goal is to make you feel welcomed as soon as you reserve your Sniffspot time and before walking onto our property. ❤️ It's a little piece of heaven that we enjoy daily and decided to open it up to our community. We also have our very own yard guardian, that we named BLUE (featured in our main property photo). He protects the rest of the small birds such as the finches and blue jay's from the crows and hawks. **UPDATE 8/27/24** We are adding a log stump obstacle course for our furry visitors!!! Right now there are 9 stumps for your pooch to scale and enjoy. (See last picture) Stay tuned, though!! Stay tuned!! **UPDATE 7/25/24** We now have low-light solar powered lights installed for those who'd like to visit in darker hours!! Though you are encouraged to still bring flashlights:) Welcome to our little Adventure Park for Dogs! We are 100% run by my kids and I :). Please don't hesitate to reach out! As you arrive, you will park alongside our quiet street on graded dirt that may be slightly uneven in certain areas. You are visiting a residential home. You'll enter the property using the smaller, side gate and walk your pet(s) on a leash along the driveway for about 100 yards (past the deck). You reach a small, white gate to the right. Once you pass through this gate and it is properly latched behind you, you may unleash your pet. There are steps down to the play space. **Most of the land your pet will play on is uneven** **Land is always beautiful, but is green from first rain until May or June, then brown during summer until first rain** **We are fellow dog lovers! During your visit, our dogs will be enclosed uphill and away about 60 feet from the main play space, with two layers of vegetation and fences in between. Their enclosure is located on the far side of the home behind a different fence that cuts off the NW corner of the yard (see photos). The SniffSpot area DOES NOT share a fence with our dogs. You may hear a random bark from them, but that's it. Other details: The rental area is to the right of the driveway and is fenced in by a 3ft fence along two sides, and a 4ft chain link fence on the other two sides. The area is about 3/4 acre. It includes plenty of room for your pup to run, jump and play! There are small hills, trees, and huge boulders. Natural lighting only. Under the second deck there are hammock swings guests may use. Please, no pets on swings. Visitors may also utilize the deck closest to the house, but pets must be leashed on the deck, as it overlooks the play space and is not part of the fenced area. We may or may not be home. We do not typically interact with visitors to maximize your privacy, but would love to meet you if requested! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns before/during/after your visit, please don’t hesitate to reach out via the communication tool in the app. We very much value your visit and feedback! Do you love hiking or walking your pup in a natural setting with loads of smells and places to explore?! Then you’ll love our yard- with extra big boulders for the whole family to enjoy climbing or places to rest and listen to the sounds of nature. A few “heads up” about our spot: - the path to get to backyard is a bit steep. 👟Perhaps plan to wear appropriate footwear🙃 -like most places in San Diego there’s a possibility of snakes and we did have a recent sighting, so please use caution - the fencing on bottom right of yard is a different material, but still secure without any ways for pups to get out, but it can at times shift with weather and may be more possibilities for a pup to go under (I try and check often)🌿 - on the bottom left of the yard their are fire stick succulents🌱 on my neighbors property-the sap of these plants are toxic, so best to stay away! -lastly, if you are planning to come on a weekend morning- our neighbors typically play pickle ball at this time which can be a bit noisy and a distraction to some pups- they’re usually done by 11am. This hidden gem is perfect for dogs and humans of all sizes, ☺️ & conveniently located just off the 405 freeway. The entire space is surrounded by walls with a gated entrance. There are toys and treats for your dog(s), and chairs for the humans. We also provide a large stainless steel bowl for water. **NOTE: We often have back to back bookings, and as such we might not have a chance to clean and refill the water bowl. Property location is less a few minutes from the 10 freeway, which makes it the perfect location to let your dog get in some exercise, and have a potty break along your route without the worry of dirty pet areas at rest stops, or hazardous conditions at gas station parking lots. Your dog will be ready to nap and rest quietly after running and playing at this country sniff spot-which will enable you to continue traveling on to your destination. Have your dog’s birthday party on our lush green grass. Plenty of room for dogs to play and their humans to take pics and enjoy seeing the joy on their faces. The yard is absolutely secure and the dogs can feel free to use all of their senses to have an amazing time. Conveniently location less than 5 minutes from the 10 freeway, our spot makes for the perfect play space for your pup. During summer we offer water features including a mister, splash pad and wading pool. Extra shade is also set up for your comfort. There is an old swing set on property, that is a ‘use at your own risk.’ We keep it up because our dogs, and family members enjoy it, but before use your own discretion before using. Cold bottled water in outdoor frig for humans and fresh water in bowls for your pups. This is a country yard. I walk the property prior to every visit but guest should be aware to wildlife such as bugs, squirrels, gophers, hawks, skunks, snakes, etc. We hope you enjoy our yard. 😎 Complimentary Keurig coffee, hot chocolate, tea and cold bottled water available for all guests during your visit.
