This is a working sheep farm. The pasture is usually occupied by a few elderly ewes. They will be kept in the barn when we have guests. The L shaped field is about 2.5 acres of open ground. Our yard is mostly grass with some trees for shade, chairs and a hammock for humans, and plenty of privacy for all. Fences are solid wood, 6 feet tall all around. Our pup, Major, will be indoors (unless you request a play with him - he's a friendly golden retriever). We'll keep the curtains closed for your privacy, but he may sneak a peak to say hi through the window. If you have a reactive dog and would like our dog completely out of sight, message me and I can accommodate that with prior notice. There are neighbors on the side with dogs that your pup may see arriving to the spot. Plenty of parking in front of the house. Private side yard entrance to the right of the house by the garage. Please use what you see available - pooper scooper and dog bags on the patio, toys throughout the yard, towels, hose and water station for pups, garbage bin on your way out at the side of the house.

Our natural setting has different areas including 2 grassy fields perfect for fetch w/discs, ropes, or toys, (balls are not best here due to all of the surrounding bushes), areas great for running, a forested area with several nature trails for a hiking adventure where your dog(s) can run, explore, run & feel free, a large tree’d area that your pups can run under, and a healthy little creek that your pups can wade in, cool off, and drink from. Your dogs will have so many different sniffing and secure off-leash exploring opportunities here! Our spot is so much more than just a fenced field! The area is diverse and so much fun for your dog(s). There are a couple areas on the trails that are a little steep, there’s an area where you have to walk on logs 🪵, and the little creek has to be stepped over, so people with limited mobility may have issues in these areas of the spot. There are plenty of spaces and trails that are suitable for all abilities. If you’re looking for a basic fenced field to play chuck-it then this probably isn’t your spot. We are continually working on our property, so every time you visit it will have more open space, more trails, and less blackberry bushes. We provide a rain/sun shelter with foldable chairs and lots of supplies including dog toys & balls, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, wipes, hand towels, cornhole, 2 lounge chairs, 4 folding chairs. a kids size picnic table, and fresh drinking water for your pups. There are open areas with sun ☀️, and there is shade all day due to many large trees. Our property is fully secure with 5 to 6 ft fencing. We are located close-in on the Westside of Vancouver one mile from I-5 on 78th Street in West Hazel Dell near Felida. *Seasonal Attention-We have baby bunnies on our property. They usually hide really well, but if your pup finds a baby or a nest, please redirect your pup to try to avoid the bunnies from getting hurt. The blackberries are ripe and yummy right now! It is Summer! The wading pool is free! Just please fill with hose and empty at the end of your reservation if the water Is dirty. The Bucket makes this about a 2-minute job. Our SS is a wide open space where your dog can run and play. Please DO NOT bring an unvaccinated dog to our SS. PLEASE keep an eye on your dog(s), not your phone! Unfortunately I have found missed messes, so please monitor your doggos. if you forget bags. we have extra in the "milk box" next to the porch steps, and feel free to use any toys you find in the SS! Absolutely no digging is allowed. Please do not allow your dog to dig holes. Dogs of all sizes are allowed! Private areas: the house including the porch, and wrap around garden. Water is provided via the hose/hydrant near the gate. (Located to the left of the gate as you enter!) Please the area east of the driveway and behind the house and have a good time exploring and playing! There are bunnies, cats and squirrels on the property so we ask that you please restrain your dog for the first 30 seconds or so when entering the property to give those animals a chance to react to the presence of a new animal. Allowing your dog to chase cats or wander up onto the house's porch are not allowed. Leave any hose running if found that way. Residents of the home may come and go during your reservation. About 4 of the acres is heavily wooded with very mature evergreens & maples. There is a very nice wide trail with lots of little ups & downs & obstacles. The trail is walkable in 5-10 depending on pace. The rest of the property is mostly native grass & weeds with some European grass that surrounds our house & shop in the middle of the property. No busy roads very peaceful & quiet.

We have a large grass yard with a large run that circles the house ending in another enclosed area. The smaller enclosed area can be open to the rest of the yard or closed to make a smaller space for smaller dogs, puppies, older dogs, ect. We have a kiddie pool we are happy to bring out if requested! Wifi will be where is available along with chairs to lounge in. We also have water available for both you and your pup! Also set out is disposable bags, and a trash can. There is an Bathroom available inside as needed. Our neighborhood is quite and calm besides some friendly neighbors who might say hello as they pass.

Conveniently located 2 minutes off of I-205 and 7 min off of I-5! Fully fenced & recently added 360° privacy screen. The property is a flat field, with short grass, which makes for the perfect space for your dog(s) to run to their hearts desire! This is also an ideal spot for training, especially disengage/reengage recall. You can keep an eye on your pups from all areas. The field is graded for proper water drainage, so there won’t be much of any mud during the rainy season. There is privacy from the main residence and the road.
