22+ acre property with 20 acres that is fully/securely fenced. The front half is an open field & orchard, the back is forested and has maintained trails throughout. There's covered seating in the field & woods, portapotty, drinking water station, toys etc - see amenities for more details. There are seasonal streams, ponds in the woods this time of year, plus extra puddles & mud during/after moderate-heavy rain. Foot bridges and woodchips keep the main trails in decent shape for walking but there are plenty of muddy areas to explore so expect a wet, dirty dog - waterproof traction boots (muckboots etc) recommended. There's a dog rinse station (elevated, tethers, sidewalls) for faster cleaning that's easy on the back and keeps clothing drier; bring your own towels. Reservations are available up to 30 days in advance. Some days fill fast but plans can change & bookings get modified/canceled (2+hrs beforehand) - check back for an opening if interested. Thank you for being considerate of our space by reading and abiding by SS and spot specific rules and asking all who accompany you to do the same. This was an awesome opportunity to let our new shelter dog do some off leash exploring and playing in a safe environment. We can't trust his recall at all but had no concerns with the fencing! It was raining and it has been a pretty wet month, so I was expecting a huge mud pit - but the yard was still very usable! Good soil and good drainage I guess :) Covered deck was awesome although our pup made us stay in the rain and play with him anyway. Thanks for letting us play at your sniff spot, we'll be back!

This was our first Sniffspot visit, and it was a lot of fun! We were able to make a same-day booking, and even though it was cold and drizzling outside, the yard was in great shape with barely any muddy patches, and my five-month old baby and I were able to enjoy the covered patio and stay warm by the firepit while my husband played with the pup. There were many, many sniffs to tire out our city dog, and it was a nice outing for the whole family. Would definitely return!

Our first visit to a sniff spot and our girl Remi had the best time! Was a great place to throw the ball around for her and let her sniff about. She couldn't have cared less about the chickens, but was very happy to see the 2 black labs that were on the other side of the fencing while some guys were working. They had fun sniffing each other. Would just be aware if you have a very reactive dog that there are other dogs around, that you may encounter through the fencing, however they can't get to each other. We saw the llamas from afar! Love the covered deck. Will be back for sure, possibly even next week! I think we parked in the wrong spot, as it wasn't super clear until we walked in, so next time won't block the gate.

Wonderful spot with a great combination of open space and wooded area for exploring and playing hide and seek. Easy parking instructions included. The horse mainly stayed inside it's shelter while we were there and the only time my dog noticed was when it neighed as us when we were close to the gate and my dog hadn't realized it was there. Most dogs could easily get through the gate to the horse if they wanted too. There were people at what looked like a Christmas tree farm 2 properties over but that is likely only a December sighting.

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
