Our SniffSpot Play Yard is fully fenced in with a 6ft tall wooden privacy fence. We have 19 wooded acres with our boarding facility being located at the South end of our property, the owners personal residence in the middle and our private SniffSpot play yard at the North end of our property. We do have a nice walking trail that meanders through our property but please be aware that our Playful Pups Retreat Staff may be walking overnight boarding dogs on the trail during our business hours. There is a container with a few toys to play with inside the SniffSpot yard but we do suggest bringing your own toys. Please bring poop bags and clean up after your pet. Please take bags of poop with you or stop at Playful Pups and dispose of it in one of our outdoor trash receptacles. FOR NOISE SENSITIVE DOGS! PLEASE BE AWARE WE DO HAVE A GUN CLUB NOT FAR FROM THIS PLAY YARD. DEPENDING ON THE DAY THERE MAY BE GUNFIRE. We are centrally located near York Hospital and York College. Easy access with off street parking. Dog towels are provided when the pool is open. Pool is closed for winter but will reopen in April 2025. Weather permitting, the large back yard is open year round. We ask that you try to keep your dogs from playing on the pool cover.

We will make you aware if that's the case so everyone can have a safe and enjoyable experience. Park in the driveway close to the fence. Open the gate and enjoy! There's a hose, water bowl, chuck it and two balls. If we haven't put them out, feel free to open the container for seat cushions for the deck chairs. We want you and your dog to be comfortable and peaceful. The black trash bin closest to the garage is the spot for dog bags. We try to keep a sniff spot sign on it but it often comes off. What I love about the yard is you can pretty much see the entire area from anywhere you stand so it makes for more relaxing and less worrying when your dog is out of sight. I know how difficult it was when I lived in my apartment to get my dogs out and running to exhaust some of their pent up energy. I loved when I saw this app and knew I could offer that space, away from other dogs like at the dog park for anyone to let their dogs run and have fun without the stress of being in a busy social environment. Welcome to our fenced yard where you can let your dogs run off leash and get some of their crazy energy out! *We do have a small chicken coop where you can see my flock. They are not able to get out and are secured during every visit.

Please park at the top of the hill by the large metal barn and walk down the hill on the path on the right to the pond. We are open occasional hours due to surveying and construction soon to be started. Please message me if you have a specific time you want to come out and I will open for you if possible! Dogs can run, swim, play and explore the 18 acres of fields above our farm pond. Seating, water and lots of parking. We are only 3 miles from the Baltimore Beltway, 12 miles from the Inner Harbor! We are adjacent to a local pick your own peaches, apples and berry farm.

If you have a reactive dog (or any furry friend), this is the place for you! Enjoy a good sized backyard with 7ft privacy fence. We will provide dog toys, towels, chairs, and treats upon request! Water and doggie bags will always be present. Off street parking and access from the outside will be present. I have pups of my own that love to play, so if your dog wants a buddy mine will happily oblige! If you have a reactive pup, please let me know how we can best accommodate you.

CHRISTMAS SPECIAL! All of december only $2. Lots of stuff to sniff... deer and squirrels seen daily. Springs that the dogs can drink from. Extra trailmarkers added to help you navigate. Lots of fun for your puppers and peace of mind for you, while we do have neighbors, there won't be close encounters but you may hear them on occasion, or see them driving past, though it is very private we are not completely isolated. No poop bags provided or needed, just make sure it's not where people walk. Half hour visits are available. (Fall and winter slows the spring and shrinks the water hole) Me and my dog love it here and I hope you do too!

Our meadow has the Brandywine Creek running along the whole property. A smaller creek running thru as well with two nice resting areas with spring water and chairs. Beautiful sunrises & sunsets to see. You have access to the Brandywine Creek if your dog/s likes to splash and play! Different levels of water from ankle deep, to swimming deep; many entrances to access & play in the creek for the pups and humans. Parking is safe, secure & private, so you can unload you’re pup & begin exploring. Bring the water toys, paddle boards, floats etc, if you’d like! We do it all! We have the perfect picnic spot to relax & take a break, with chairs, storage bin with anything you may need; just for our Sniffspot guests. A large table w/ chairs, umbrella & more. Perfect for a quick snack or full out meal in nature. (We have a pull along wagon if needed for your supplies). Wild life all around, from fish, blue herons, a to the majestic Bald Eagle pair, to be seen! Don’t miss out on this beautiful tucked away meadow & maintained trails; right out of a painting! Be prepared with all terrain boots/shoes and dogs that aren’t afraid to get dirty while having a ton of fun!
