55Awesome Sniffspot! The open field was excellent for fetch plus some very nice trail loops. Even though the property is unfenced, there are some nice natural boundaries. One of my favorites and will definitely be back!Laura T.

55We always enjoy visiting “The Holler”. It’s so quiet and peaceful and my dog really enjoys sniffing and running through the wooded trails. There were are a couple new trails since we last visited which was an added pleasure. There is one side of the property that borders a couple neighbors. I usually keep my dog on a long lead on that side but we’ve never seen another dog and have only on rare occasion seen or heard other people. This is one of our favorite Sniffspots that we return to often!Bonnie B.

55We had a fantastic time at The Holler. It was a peaceful, perfect combo of a huge, grassy field and forest paths to explore. My puppy bounded through the grass and trails, while my old dog delighted himself looking for deer scat to eat. I was hoping I was staying in boundary lines, but I didn’t hear any other people or dogs at neighboring properties.I really appreciated the parking sign as well. Thanks for a great visit!Jodi S.

55Great spot! My dog spent most of her time sniffing and exploring the trails. It’s a great place to practice recall. The field is spacious for running and playing fetch as well. 😊Katie H.

55We had another great day at the holler. My reactive dog enjoyed roaming the trails on the beautiful spring day. Although one side of the property is open to a couple neighbors we have rarely seen or heard anyone there. Today was no exception: It was very quiet and serene, with only the birds chirping. Since my dog is reactive I do keep him on a long lead when we are on the side of the property by the neighbors. I recommend good walking shoes too and using a walking stick when traversing the woodland trails. On parts of the trails there are loose rocks and sometimes a few roots that can be tripping hazards. I just pick up a large stick on the trail to use as a walking stick and it has help me avoid a fall a few times. Overall, a great Sniffspot that we return to often. Bonnie B.

55One of our long-stay shelter dogs, Reggie, got to enjoy some time away from the shelter. The driving instructions were super helpful and Reggie had a great time sniffing and exploring the new spot.Emily M.

55Great open space and trails to do a little hike around the forest! Grass was a bit high in the open space, so if you have small dogs (like I do), expect to have them soaked and muddy if it rained! Maria L.

55Both myself and my dogs loved this place! I felt 100% comfortable with both of my dogs off leash (one is reactive). The owners have done an amazing job creating trails in the woods, there is also open grassy areas. My dogs loved running around and sniffing the whole property. It was great watching my reactive dog have so much fun being allowed to run free. We will definitely be going back often. Highly recommend this place. Rebecca C.

55We love this spot and come here often. We enjoy the woodland trails and the entire property provides a lot of good “sniffs” for my dog. An added bonus today was the spotting of a deer. Needles to say my dog was all a Twitter! He gave chase and I’m always okay with that because I know he can’t catch them. Leslie and her husband continue to improve the property too. Most recently they’ve added a guest parking spot (with plenty of room to turn around when you’re ready to leave) and a trash can for poop bags. Thanks Leslie!Bonnie B.

55Always a great Sniffspot! So much room to explore and sniff. It’s a good spot for a walk in the summer heat too as it provides plenty of shade. We had a peaceful morning walk and my boy was worn out quickly. There isn’t any mud right now but I’d still recommend good walking shoes and some bug spray as there are a few mosquitoes in the woods. I always wear long pants too, even in the summer, just in case I brush up against a random blackberry or thistle. Great Sniffspot!Bonnie B.

55Peaceful lovely spot to visit. Since my first visit over a year ago they have made quite a few improvements like a clear parking area and putting gravel in the steep hill walking down to the meadow. Trails in the woods are very well maintained.
Word of caution if you have a dog that will chase wildlife there are lots of bunnies and Chipmunks and the like and they could chase it out of the property easily. Simon C.

55We loved this Sniffspot! I liked the different terrain and the pups loved racing around the trails! Definitely a little bit of a workout to get back to the car though but who couldn't use a little more exercise? :)Emelie S.

55We love this place and appreciate the mixture of pastures and wooded areas and the view of the valley is a plus. The big hill to go directly to the pasture is a challenge to walk back up and I take the trail from the woods which has a less steep incline getting me halfway up on the way back. Tanja E.

FAQ about our Sumner dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Sumner area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 361 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 42 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby.
