55Great sniffspot that had a well-groomed lawn and trees for shade. My dog loved running around the backyard and playing ball. The area has quite a slope but you quickly figure out how to make your dog do the hill work, they don't care - if you have a reactive dog(me) there is a neighbor dog on the other side of the fence, where you pull into the driveway ... the fence has a screen up so we didn't see the dog but it barked when my guy jumped out... Which got a tiny reaction from him, but the prospect of getting to run around and play a long game of fetch off leash meant he was going to listen to me, getting back in the car was easy because my boy was really tired and couldn't be bothered to be reactive- ... if you know your dog won't recover quickly from hearing or seeing another dog you might want to think of a plan to get them into the gated area and guard against a fence encounter. After we were inside the gate we didn't hear from that dog again- so they must not have access to go back that far. We also saw goats but my guy had minimal interest, leave it seemed to do the trick. There are some foxtails here and there but overall I was very impressed with how well-mown the huge sloped property is.
Most of the yard is very sloped but there are a few flat areas for a very good game of tug or fetch. I would watch out for gopher holes on the slope that connects the two halves of the property and keep games of fetch to the grassy area closest to the driveway.
There is a nice shaded area for the humans, complete water bottles, snacks, and even spray sunscreen.
Overall I think there’s something here for every dog. Places to play with your dog or places for your dog to run around and explore on their own. Great if you want to jog around with your dog and great if you just want to chill in the shade.

The space itself is a huge, fenced in area. Our dog Bella ran , jumped and sniffed all over. There was lots of areas to run around & the sounds of ground squirrels / neighboring chickens kept Bella running/sniffing around. There were lots of random toys around to play with & we brought our own just to have.

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks.
