Sniffspot Welcome to Tell Tail Farm! A private 2 acre-fully fenced yard with horses and chickens coming home in spring of 2025. We have an additional 3 acres of woods and a pond that is UNFENCED at the back of the property that is accessible through a gate that you are also welcome to explore. We get plenty of wild animals in our yard and have dogs of our own so there are PLENTY! Of smells for your pets to enjoy. All humans and pets will stay inside for your visit unless requested otherwise. When we get a lot of rain, a small pond forms in the back of the yard (pictured) but it’s not there in the extreme summer heat. I have a kiddy pool, water bowls and a hose outside that is usable in the spring, summer and fall. Toys, poop bags, chairs for humans, a nice patio to sit on, picnic table, and a fire pit patio with string lights all available for use! Hand sanitizer is also available and if it rains, we will open up the garage for a rain shelter with chairs! We do not use any pesticides or fertilizer on our property but will spray for ticks in the spring and summer. We cut the grass 1-2x per week but even more in the spring to keep the grass super short and our house sits on top of a hill for added exercise. Private Pond Pooch Paradise

Our property sits 1200+ feet off of the main road and is a total of 28 acres. There are neighboring properties that are 50 acres and 80 acres so no close homes in most directions. We are located approximately 1 mile from West Branch State Park. The property has a clean swimming pond, a walkable forest area with some established trails that are currently covered with leaves. We are a working farm with about 8 acres of crops. There is a large 3 acre wheat field in the front great for ball throwing. The remaining non crop acres are walking paths with some cut grass and yard. We do not have any livestock but our neighbors have cows. There is a secure fence on one side of our property that keeps the cows in their pasture. They’ve never visited us! Neighboring properties are also farms with over 100 acres of open land, woods and crops surrounding our property with no main or visible roads. You can see houses on one side of the property and that’s where the cows live! They have dogs but they’ve never visited us. We do have 2 well behaved German Shorthaired Pointers named River and Remmy who run freely on the property. However we will keep them inside when guests use the property. We have a bench to sit on in a shaded area around the pond for relaxing. The woods are beautiful to walk about as well. There is a large rock in the woods to take a rest on with an amazing ravine creek view. Our property is large and not fenced so dogs with impeccable recall should enjoy the freedom to play, run, swim, sniff and explore. Leashed walks are also welcome. Long leads can also be used. Because we are so far off of any main roads you will feel comfortable here! Your pups are welcome to swim in the pond during your visit. During recent rains our property stays mainly dry and the woods are relatively dry as well as there are many leaves covering the ground. In the winter when the ground is frozen it’s a beautiful walk.

We are located on a no outlet street in Munson (Chardon), Ohio. Our home has several acres; one acre is securely fenced in with a combination of decorative fencing and chain link. All of the gates have an extra "lock" in order to secure they are latched while closed. The base of the fence is routinely inspected for gaps or escape routes and every measure is taken in order to make sure all dogs remain within the fenced in area. The space has a combination of open grass, wooded areas and even trails for dogs and their owners to explore while visiting my spot. The humans may sit on the seating by the woods, the "ice cream bench" slider, the furniture on the deck or the benches around the fire pit. Bags and/or a a pooper scooper are provided for waste. Handlers must provide their dog’s name, license number and veterinarian’s name to a ranger upon request. • Dogs are to be brought to the park on leashes and released inside the designated off-leash area, and put under the control of own leash again as they exit the off-leash area. Retractable leashes are not recommended. • Muzzles, spike or prong collars are NOT permitted on dogs in the park. • Dog waste must be picked up immediately by the handler and placed in the trash cans. Handlers who fail to do so may be cited for littering. • Animals other than dogs are NOT permitted. • People food and dog treats of any kind are NOT permitted ─ food and treats can trigger fights between dogs. • Glass containers, bicycles, strollers or children’s toys are NOT permitted. • Fishing and swimming by humans is NOT permitted.

Our dogs had a great time at this park! The area was even bigger than we expected and the fencing was great enough that we didn't have to constantly worry that our girls would find a way to sneak out. We were able to tire our energetic puppy out with far stretches of fetch with the tennis balls provided, while my senior dog got to sniff around and rest by the fire pit we added on. The host even left a sweet personalized message with our dogs' name on it. We will definitely be coming here again!

This SniffSpot was awesome! It is very secure and very large! My dogs mainly stayed behind the barn type building but as we were trying to round them up when it was time to go - they discovered a whole part of the yard they hadn’t sniffed 😳. There was virtually no mud except in the way back where of course the little found. But no worries there is a hose if you need to rinse and I think there were even towels altho I had my own. We will definitely be back.

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
