Imperia's Canine Connection 1+ Acre Private Dog Park The Spot: Over 1 acre of fully fenced (6' chain link) field area with a drive-through gate so your dogs can start running right out of the car. The surface is a packed sandy soil during the cold weather months and mowed natural vegetation during the warmer months. A walk around the interior fence line is about 1/4 mile so it's great for the active dog owner too. It's a close-in rural location right in Aurora just two miles east of I-225 from the Sixth Ave exit. While my field area is strictly for the dogs, there is a horse in a corral area next to the dog field. My neighbor has loose chickens on his property. Neither the horse nor the chickens are bothered by dogs. Dogs may bark out of curiosity and that's totally appropriate and ok, but they soon realize that with no reaction there is no need to bark. Sniffin' Hours are: 8:30 am -5:00 pm every day of the week. You may reserve time up to 14 days in advance.

Turf is cleaned once a week, we also have a poop service to help with the cleanliness of the space, although we are pretty thorough daily to keep up with all messes. One side of the fence (leads into neighbors yard) is shorter than the rest about 4ft tall. If you have a jumper I would just keep a close eye. Such a great sniff spot! Jon was very nice and made sure my dogs and myself had water. He left out treats and toys for your dogs to play with. The fence is very secure and the area is very big and clean! I love that you can drive into the yard and let your dogs out straight from your car. My dogs loved seeing the horses and even caught a glimpse of the chickens. We will definitely be back!!

Great spot! Very little grass and tree coverage though (as you can see in the pictures) so would be best for cooler days. A lot of room to move around and it was nice that I could drive right in and let my dog straight out of the car off leash.

This place is sooo cute! I got to meet the owner and she is very warm and friendly. My little guy spent most of the time exploring smells and toys. There were lots of dogs barking in their homes which gave us a good training opportunity. Towards the end he did great keeping focus and even sat to simply take in his environment and listen. This backyard was PERFECT for two dogs. They ran around on the turf in circles for the whole hour. Host had toys out and water bowls. Our kids had a great time on the swing and running with the dogs so everyone was comfortable and content for the hour. *only caveat is there was some language on an outdoor mat that isn’t great for young kids*.
