0.5 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Park In Cobble Hill | Sniffspot
55This spot and it’s parking was easy to find, Barb was friendly and greeted me as soon as we arrived to gave the general guidelines.
The main gate opens into a very large grassy field then leads into wooded trails, where there is also water and dog bowls available along with a map and bucket for dog poop. The trails themselves are well marked and very easy to navigate (but still with varied terrain to make it interesting for dogs), but bring your boots with good traction for the rainy season!
Towards the back of the woods there is snow fencing and the lowest point as stated is 4ft, so keep that in mind if you have an extreme escape artist, but otherwise the entire property is fenced and appeared safe for the vast majority of dogs.
The dog I brought with me had an absolutely wonderful time running for the entire hour, and very much enjoyed herself. Highly recommended!Sarah S.

55My dogs and I had such a great time! As this was our first visit, Barb met us on arrival and showed me where everything was and was incredibly welcoming and kind. It was obvious how much she loves dogs and how excited she is to share her beautiful property with others.
My dogs are generally not reactive, but one is deaf and visually limited so safe fencing is a must if I let him off leash. I felt very secure seeing the fencing here- both around the fields and the woods. If you do have a reactive pup, the only time we heard another dog was when the neighbor dog barked but could not be seen. Barb had pointed out the areas and paths which are more well used and tend to be less soggy, but I actually found the whole area to be much better draining than expected given the recent rain. That being said, gore tex trail shoes kept my feet totally dry. Others might prefer boots. The whole field was very well mowed and maintained. The wooded trails were easy to navigate and well marked, even with a map, water station and seating, plus an additional can for poop bags.

We worked a little on recall but mainly it was a perfect hour spent running, sniffing, and enjoying free time with my dogs without worrying about other people or dogs showing up (like at the dog park) or my deaf dog not being safe. Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Are dog parks safe?
