Rainy season update: we will continue to be open throughout the winter, even with all the rain. It is going to be muddy, but hopefully not too bad. To cut down on the mud, we won't be taking the tractor in to fill holes, so please watch your step when walking around. Close to downtown Corvallis, come let your dog run free and just be a dog for a little while. Our newly fenced in area is a work in progress and we will be adding more things to do for pups and their humans. We're easily accessed via Fox Hollow, Chambers, or Bailey Hill. Our property has a 3 acre Fully Fenced & mowed private dog park with a view of Spencers Butte! There's some fun stuff out there including giant tractor tires, a straw bale structure (Pumpkin Parkour!), jumps and an agility tunnel. We're always looking for new ideas and love requests! We also have 7+ acres of Partially Fenced nature area with trails, including forest and fields. We recommend keeping your dog on leash while exploring the trails, as the property is not 100% fenced and there can be deer roaming as well! This area is huge and is a very exciting work in progress.

As winter approaches and post- icepocolyps logging winds down, I would like to test a pricing option. For the winter months, at least, I am going to offer sliding scale discounts. The guest can choose their pay rate for sanctuary use based on their moment-to-moment economic status. Discounts are as follows: $2 off (JMSS2); $4 off (JMSS4); $6 off (JMSS6). Enter the discount code (in parentheses) for your desired discount. Just as a reminder, or for new inquiries, the effort and cost to recover/rebuild Jasper Memorial Sanctuary was extensive and expensive. Material costs were over $5000. Labor costs, had I hired all the hours worked, are over $15,000. The price increase for utilizing the Sanctuary is small in comparison to the expenses incurred from the loss (0.1%). Thank you to all my amazing guests who have given your dog(s) opportunity to find their calm within by visiting Jasper Memorial Sanctuary. It is amazing to see your dogs and you finding your inner peace. Thank you too for following all of the rules to keep this SS sustainable into the future. The fee set is the amount needed to allow me to keep this site open and provide improvements when needed. (I understand other sites charge less, but I've learned charging less is not financially sustainable. Hosts do not earn what they charge). I love hosting new and returning guests. RECENT IMPROVEMENTS/RESTORATION: Approximately 80 damaged/downed trees removed. 40 uprooted stumps ground out 340' of new 5' fencing installed 140' fencing repaired New entrance gate/location created 100s perhaps 1000s of poison oak dug out (it's still present, just fewer) Culvert installed at entrance with gravel path to gate (pending) New signs installed A 6'x6' sand box has been added. Please encourage digging in this location only. Discourage digging in all other locations for the safety of everyone and the preservation of the environment. A poop bag dispenser has been installed on a post near the gate and will be kept filled. Jasper Memorial Sanctuary, named in memory of my soul dog Jasper, is no larger than 1.3 acres in and fully fenced. The acreage is a combination of mid-age dense timber, new reforestation, devastation zone and open grass. The area is flanked on two sides by driveway. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘀. Be respectful of wildlife. Deer and turkey roam the property and consider the space their home. If there are wild animals in the sanctuary enclosure upon your arrival, please keep your dog(s) on leash until the other animals have vacated the area. Under no circumstance are dogs allowed to chase wildlife. Domestic and rescued animals that live on the property include horses, donkeys, geese and chickens. 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘀 and do not approach any of these animals. 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 is about 50' away from the entrance gate. It is small dog friendly, but keep an eye on them if they are escape artists. Please be aware that the back of the fence is shared with the freeway, so the noise of traffic can be a bit loud at times, but my dogs do not care. If you visit when it’s dust/dark out, there is additional lighting on multiple fence posts. Parking: street parking is preferred, but I can also share my driveway if needed! Memphis’s meadow is fully fenced with new 5ft field fence. The lowest point is a three foot man gate by the house. It’s beautifully sloping park like setting with large mature trees. There is always shade to be found no matter the time of day. We offer extra amenities and are always open to suggestions! There is a larger 8ft wide stock gate (also secured with woven 5 foot fence) near the parking area. This is marked with a beautiful wood sign and sharing library. Please help yourself. We have two green chairs please feel free to move them around the yard as you wish and a picnic table to enjoy morning coffee, lunch break with your pooch or even a nice evening picnic to watch the sunset. We have added a gazebo for enjoyment on sunny days and rainy day’s alike! Feel free to send us a note if you have a special request or ideas on how to make your visit more enjoyable! As a note, we do have chickens across the driveway from where you access the spot. They are secure in their own space. If you are interested in farm fresh eggs let me know and I can set a dozen out for a small donation. Egg cartons are always welcome!

We offer a fully fenced 6 acres in Turner, Oregon. We are a 5 minute drive from I-5 and South Salem. Here at the property, we have the most gorgeous views, a seasonal stream, a farm with a wide variety of animals (who are in their own fenced area) as well as lots of areas to sniff for your furry friends! We have a big parking lot and provide chairs, so you’re able to take a rest. For your convenience, doggy bags are also provided by the gate. Someone is always available on the property, so that if you have any questions, we are only a text/call away! It was so nice to play/train in a different environment and give my dog some off-leash romping time with no stress about her getting into trouble! Terri was a welcoming host and kept the goats away from the fence during our visit, as I thought they might be too exciting for my dog. Chickens nearby provided a nice low-level distraction to work with, as did a couple leashed dogs that walked by on the road (it was a weekend morning so perhaps more passerbys than usual). As described, the pasture has some gopher holes - especially in the lower area - so we played fetch more cautiously than usual. Hope to visit again soon!

Terri was super accommodating of a last minute visit for me and my pup. She greeted us and showed me to the play area. There was a faucet for plenty of fresh water and quite a few toys that Zoe really enjoyed. There are some chickens in another fenced off area that you can see. One of them popped over the gate at one point, so if your dog has a really high prey drive, be mindful of that. It was a really nice and relaxing (and very clean) play area and we will definitely come back!

I loved the area, it is absolutly beautiful! My dog really, really loved the field and spent alot of time sniffing and running. The field is hilly and a little uneven in places, but nothing unmanagable. We will be back!

Terri was so nice and accommodating! We honestly cannot thank her and her husband enough for opening up their property to us. We just moved here and the move has been tough on our 2 doggies. The space was great for them to roam and not a lot of noise from the trail near by. We’ll be back to let the dogs run and use the space as training as they have chickens and goats.

Beautiful spot out in the woods, nice open field and secure fencing. Great spot to get a little extra exercise for the dog chasing a ball. Very peaceful setting, bikers and some cars go by once in a while to park at the trailhead just a few hundred feet up the road, but not a problem unless your dog is reactive to bikes or people. Chickens were a fun distraction on the other side of the fence but kept their distance. The host was very kind and offered to keep the goats away from the Sniffspot fence which was perfect for my dog since she seems to fixate on most animals. Overall a great spot and the hosts have a beautiful veggie garden which was fun to look at through the fence.

We live in town with a large dog and unfenced yard. Our dog gets plenty of walks but no opportunity to run. It's wonderful to find a large fenced area in the country for our dog to RUN!! Easy to find, host was so friendly, kind, and thoughtful. Fully enclosed. We have a reactive dog and it's hard to find a place to let her decompress. This was perfection. Good size, a little creek. It's Oregon so be prepared for wet/mud in winter. Ground is uneven but it didn't slow our pups down even a bit. We look forward to coming back again and again!
