55Really great Sniffspot! So much room to roam and explore! The creek is an added bonus. I was nervous at first about taking my reactive dog past the kennel to get to the Sniffspot area, but it turned out to be really easy. We parked at the kennel office to check in and then were instructed to drive down the hill to the Sniffspot area. As a result, my dog didn’t see any other dogs while we were at the kennel area. The Sniffspot area is really large and consists mostly of open fields. My dog had a great time roaming, running, and sniffing around. When he got hot, he took a dip in the creek. The area is completely fenced so we were comfortable knowing where the property boundaries were. The fence is about 4 feet and if you have a jumper they would be able to get over it. My dog jumps fences that high but with so much room to explore inside he wasn’t even tempted to go outside of it, especially since there weren’t any other animals or people in sight. I also appreciated the provided port-a-potty.
For reactive dog owners: I highly recommend this spot for reactive dogs. It’s completely private so you can relax while exploring the large area with your doggoBonnie B.

55Great spot for our newly adopted 9-mo old rescue to roam freely (and safely!!!) and get her sniffs out in zone that is free from other people and dogs. We are working with a trainer to help us support her reactivity issues-this location was a beautiful outlet for our pup to get stimulation and exercise safely...and make training so much easier after expending energy! Very grateful. We’ll be back. Highly recommend.Mona H.

55Check in was easy and our dog never saw or heard another dog. We kept her on a long line as we didn’t think the fence would contain her but it did let us know clearly where the boundaries were which was very helpful. We loved having so much space to explore without worrying about surprise dogs and Cora loved all the new smells and playing in the creek (she even got to see a beaver!). Maggie R.

55Fantastic! I have two very large dogs and they had a blast running here. The creek was the best part - places to swim, lots of mud (for those who like it), even a frog they got to chase. It was very private, we never heard another dog which was great for my dog-reactive pup. Only warning to other dog owners is that there was a lot of blackberry (to be expected - it's Oregon, after all!), but for dogs like mine with long, fluffy coats they were running around with branches in their fur. Again, it's Oregon, no big deal, but just a warning if you have a long-haired dog.
Super fun spot and would HIGHLY recommend.Katie M.

55A great Sniffspot - very large and private. It took us an hour just to walk the perimeter. We were completely alone and didn’t hear or see any people or other animals. The grass is really tall right now - be sure to wear long pants even in the hot weather. Ground is uneven too so good walking shoes are a must. Overall, my dog loved it here and was really worn out from the exercise. Highly recommend! Bonnie B.

55Wow, this place is incredible! It‘s also massive. We spent 2 hours there and have yet to explore more! Bruno enjoyed his zoomies in the various fields, and getting wet in the stream. There is also a forested bit that was quite magical, and you can also climb a little hill to see the entire play area from up there. Do wear waterproof boots as there are lots of puddles in the fields. There are also lots of rocks so be aware of your footing. The area is fully fenced except where the stream is (which serves as a natural barrier). There is no more porta potty but if you ask nicely, you can probably use the bathroom when you check in. You check in at the office of the boarding kennel (it’s a building on the right, there are lots of signs), then get back in your car, and drive down the hill and follow the sign that says “field”. We could at times hear the dogs barking from the kennels, but Bruno didn’t care. I did have to do a full body check once we were done because there were some foxtails and various seeds stuck to Bruno (and myself). We’ll definitely be back!Chantalle v.

55I was a great spot! If your dog is reactive towards people or other animals this would be a great spot for you, we renting the space for 2 hours and we didn’t see another soul for the entire 2 hours besides when we checked in. Getting back to the field can be a little treacherous, but I got back there safely in my Kia so most vehicles should be fine! The grass is rather tall in some areas, so just keep that in mind. I wish it was a little bit cheaper than what it is, but we will be coming back in the future. Leslie R.

55We had such an amazing day with our very reactive German shepherd and our Serbian hound. The property is absolutely gorgeous and has so much space to run around and let your dogs play without distractions. Grass is high so my smaller dog did disappear in the grass a few times. Definitely recommend wearing boots and jeans as their is gravel and a lot of grass. An amazing experience! We will definitely be back! Sierra C.

55Wow I love this spot! The dogs enjoyed hanging their heads out the window and sniffing the cattle and donkeys as we drove past their pastures.
There are three areas to explore offleash, a smaller one with some doggy playground equipment, then a huge open field perfect for sniffsploring, playing fetch or disc, and working on recalls. Then there are some trails that meander through the woods. There’s one spot where the fence is down, but it’s marked with neon tape. There’s a seasonal spring fed creek running through this area that the dogs enjoyed splashing in. I’m about an hour away but I’ll be back - this spot is definitely worth the drive. Camilla E.

55Nice big, open field, the livestock was far enough away to not distract my dog. The fencing was secure. Wear boots, the ground is soggy. Will be returning.

55A Sniffspot that is a little drive from home but so worth it. A beautiful view surrounds this doggy playground. We spent all of our time in the fenced area with two energetic pups. There is also an area with equipment to play with/on and hiking trails. There is a Nice graveled area to park with an outhouse and baggies and a disposal can. The different areas are well marked. We had a wonderful morning and look forward to our next visit. Debby T.

55Had a good time. Well marked . Secure for my jumpers. The offleash area is a little bumpy but dogs faired well . It was nice to get my reactive guy out and able to run a bit . Will go back again . Is it a drive ? A little . 40 minutes for me but well worth knowing my dogs are safe. Awesome place . Christina M.

55Wonderful visit with my boys getting off leash time, enjoying all the smells, plenty of space to run and look for mice. I also had my boys practice some agility and parkour in the small section with the equipment. Our 1 hour visit worked their brains and bodies. Janice J.

55Wow, what a BEAUTIFUL spot! If you’re driving from Eugene like I did, I’d suggest booking it for two hours. I booked for an hour and we didn’t even get to the play/equipment area because we were enjoying exploring the trails so much. I believe there was one stretch I saw in the trail area that didn’t have a fence and there were cows within 100’ (ish?); all I could see from where I was at was some string going across. I didn’t want to get any closer because I wasn’t sure if one of my dogs would be able to recall off cows. That might be stated somewhere in the Spot’s info, and I may have not seen things right, but I wanted to note that just in case anyone reads this and has a pup who might want to take off to make some cow friends 😂Lauren K.

FAQ about our Sweet Home dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Sweet Home area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 41 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 10 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
