After going though Windenfir training field gate you will see the back gate with a sign “Windenfir Dog Pasture." Great place to explore and let them sniff. Looking to the right when out in the pasture, the neighbors Goldens occasionally bark. Two fences between properties on this side. Owner usually calls them when barking. The pasture has goat droppings so no surprises. This is a farm :) Chickens and goats in separate area and visible to dogs (see photos). Don’t be surprised if they come up to the fence to see what’s going on. The animals have been raised around dogs and are not bothered by them. They would come out if they could. Very nice field fencing in pasture. Chain link/field fencing in training field. As of now the training field and pasture are muddy and slick in areas. Agility equipment can be slick also due to rain. Check pasture area if deciding to throw a ball/stick/small child :). Hard packed in areas and not level in some. Playhouse is open for photos and kids. Nature in the City is a unique Private Dog Park that is 1 1/2 acres of beautiful natural land with varied landscapes. Step out of the city and into our natural setting that features different areas including 2 grassy fields perfect for fetch w/discs, ropes, or toys, (balls are not best here due to all of the surrounding bushes), a couple of forested areas, several nature trails for hiking adventures, and a wetland-like area with a healthy little creek that’s a hit with the pups. They can wade, cool off, and drink from the natural water. Your dogs will have so many different sniffing and secure off-leash exploring opportunities here! Our spot is so much more than just a fenced field! The area is diverse and so much fun for your dog(s)! This is a great spot to work on recall. There are a couple areas on the trails that are a little steep, there’s a trail where you have to walk over logs 🪵, and the little creek has to be stepped over in places, so people with limited mobility may have issues in these areas of the spot. There are two bridges over the creek, and we will be adding one more bridge at the far west end of the spot soon. There are plenty of spaces and trails that are suitable for all abilities. If you’re looking for a basic fenced field to play chuck-it then this probably isn’t your spot. We are continually working on our property, so every time you visit you will see improvements! We provide a rain/sun shelter with 4 foldable chairs (message us in advance if you need more chairs and we’ll put them out for you), and lots of supplies including dog toys & balls, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, sunscreen, wipes, hand towels, first aid kit, and a cornhole yard game. We also provide snacks and beverages for humans and doggos! Located outside are 2 zero-gravity reclining chairs, a kids size picnic table, a round metal table w/umbrella & 4 metal chairs, and fresh drinking water for your pups. There are open areas with sun ☀️, and there is shade all day due to many large trees. Our property is VERY secure with 5 to 6 ft fencing. We walk the fence line regularly and check to make sure it’s secure. We are located close-in on the Westside of Vancouver one mile from I-5 on 78th Street in West Hazel Dell near Felida. *It gets muddy in areas when it has been wet/raining outside. We have wood chips along trails and in muddy areas which help a lot! Come prepared so you enjoy your visit. **We recently added 6 solar flood lights in the main field area for those of you who visit after dark. They provide subtle light at the entryway, main field, and the shelter for about 4-5 hrs after it gets dark outside. If you you want to explore the trails after dark we recommend putting a collar light on your dog(s), and that you bring headlamps and flashlights 🔦. ***We recently added a small bridge over the middle section of the creek! We have a shade (or rain) canopy with a picnic table under it, fresh water, toys, and poop bags. :) I have 3 dogs that roam the upper 2 acres of the property, which is my backyard. Sterling (border collie) Piper (border collie) and our newest member Wriggley ( husky mix) SHE was supposed to be a foster dog, but we fell in love with her... If your dogs roam up to the very edge of the Woods where the 4 acres are divided, you will most likely hear my pups if they are outside. We have placed a privacy material along the fencing so that the dogs will not be able to have any contact, but they will see shadows through the material. My pups may bark and run up and down the fence line as you play in the forest if they hear you. The property adjacent to us is the home of two nice dogs. If our neighbors let them into their back field, there is a chance you and your dog will hear them. If you have aggressive or reactive dogs, PLEASE give me a heads up. This is a working sheep farm. You may see rams in the adjacent pasture. The L shaped field is about 2.5 acres of open ground. A second field is now open, adding 3.5 acres of short grass. Feel free to park directly in front of the gate for ease of loading in and out. You may see me or my farm hand at work. If you need a no visual/no contact visit, please let me know in advance.

Excellent new Sniffspot with lots of upgrades on the way. I’ll definitely be back. Long yard, great for ball. Owner plans to remove the small fenced off area within the yard soon. Fencing was secure enough for my dog. Although there is a visual barrier, neighbor dogs were barking, but my dog was not bothered since he’s not reactive. Looking forward to seeing how this new spot develops. Excellent convenient location with easy parking.

Perfect spot for 30 minutes of chuck it, sniffing and practicing commands. Atika came out to greet us and let us know there was a neighbor dog who may come to the fence. We didn’t end up seeing her and most of the fence is hard to see through. Just be aware if your dog can’t handle a fence meet up. Everything felt secure and safe. Really appreciate the low price! We will come back for sure!

Nice space. I could throw my dog her ball, but not with as much force as I would normally. Still enough space to get some exercise in. Host was very gracious and left a few toys for my toddlers to play with while we were there.

Quiet spot fully fenced. I’ve got a very reactive Doberman and while it is next to a park I had zero issues with him and other animals. The spot is at the back kind of tucked away so nice for a good backyard game of catch.

Yard as described. Nice place for dogs to run & fetch. There’s a park on the other side of the chain link fence but luckily we only saw one dog on leash nearby & my dog-reactive dog was too busy sniffing to notice.

I have visited three other sniff spot properties and this is just the best. I wish I had known about this spot before now. This was a very clean property, did not have to worry about stepping in another dog's waste and the yard was a great size with some nice nooks and crannies for my dog to explore and sniff. The great thing is that on one side of it borders a park which was quiet and serene. I would recommend this spot to other dog owners.

Such a great spot! So much to explore and I was totally impressed! Even tho I was the first guest there were toys and a water bowl. Fencing was totally secure. The neighbors have a dog but the fence is covered. Nuggett had a great time playing with the neighbor dog from behind the fence. Major bonus!
