55This was a great spot to celebrate my dog’s birthday by letting him off leash with his brother in a large area for the first time. I liked how there was a bunch of plant life for them to sniff around and not just one big field of grass. I also appreciated the covered seating area with a first aid kit and poop bags. There was a little pool with a hose and some toys. The agility stuff was more for smaller dogs but bigger dogs could maybe use the tunnel and the one set of weaves and it was cute that they had it all. My dogs stood up on the A frame but it was a bit too small and steep for them to actually climb up and go over. I didn’t see any dog poop or anything so thank you to the host and the other visitors for keeping it clean!Talia S.

55My dog, Bijou, and I had an absolutely WONDERFUL time here today!! The wide open field is amazing for dogs to run around and/or play fetch. There’s some agility equipment - 2 sets of weave poles, a tunnel, a see-saw, a dog walk, 2 hoop jumps, as well as a few other things. There’s also a kiddie pool, water bowls, and a hose to cool off your pup(s). There’s a picnic table and benches, as well as a canopy set up for shade with a table and chairs underneath - including a swivel chair so you can always keep an eye on your pup! There are 3 Dog First Aid kits inside the canopy. There’s an area towards the back that feels like a short little trail, which is really nice. There are patches of trees and tall weeds for the dogs to sniff around in. The fence is very secure. I like that there are not one, not two, but THREE gates to go through before getting to the sniffspot. There’s the gate to get to the parking area, the gate to get to the “leash/seatbelt/harness on/off” area, and then the gate that lets you in to the play area.
I rescued Bijou back in August. I don’t think she’s ever been able to just run free in such a large area safely. It made me so happy to watch her be so happy and carefree. All dogs deserve to experience this.

My dog, Bijou, and I had an absolutely WONDERFUL time here today!! The wide open field is amazing for dogs to run around and/or play fetch. There’s some agility equipment - 2 sets of weave poles, a tunnel, a see-saw, a dog walk, 2 hoop jumps, as well as a few other things. There’s also a kiddie pool, water bowls, and a hose to cool off your pup(s). There is still plenty of room to run, throw balls, and explore in the brambles. When another user came to use the other half of the property their dogs and mine barked at each other but for us this was a good exercise for my pups in calling them away and practicing ‘leave it’. The fence is solid and while all the dogs knew there were other dogs on the other side, they couldn’t really see each other and the dogs were fully separated. My dogs came home more tired than usual (yay!) because of the impromptu obedience-with-distraction practice. For us this all was a good thing for my often too social dogs, but ymmv. Cynthia S.

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers).
