It was securely fenced in even for our little 9lb dog who often finds the smallest of gaps. There were a couple areas of the yard behind bushes & ivy that the dogs could get to that I could not, but I could see that the fencing had no gaps in those area. There is a laundry room with a large doggy door that one of my dog kept trying to go into but I was able to block the opening with an empty trash can. There was a dog running around next door that triggered my dogs briefly but they quickly lost interest in it because it never paid them any mind.
