Woodland Tranquility Pathways - find solitude!

Partially Fenced
5 acres

Off-grid Sniffspot location in rural Snohomish Washington! You will have the entire 5-acre property to yourself to enjoy! This part of our property is only used for Sniffspot guests. Would be perfect for those that don’t want to interact with others (i.e. cars driving by, strangers, the neighbors... ‘chatty hosts/property owners’😉). Safe place for adventurous individuals that prefer to explore alone with their doggo(s), a doggie daycare retreat, a memorable late evening of star-gazing, or a safe place for a highly reactive dog to have fun. Details: 5 acres, off-grid experience (no power or running water) with it’s own private entrance. Two grassy sloping yard areas with “Tranquility Trails” that loop up the hill. Secluded, native woodland with mowed grass. There are (overgrown) cottage style gardens. During your visit, feel free to pick blueberries, wild blackberries, apples or roses — or pull weeds — if that’s fun for you. 😉. This location is very relaxing. Plan for a couple hours or more to enjoy the quiet, rural lifestyle. TIP: if you have any concerns about your pup(s) going down the driveway, feel free to close the gate for added safety. Note: We are raising money to renovate the cottage located on the property by hosting a Sniffspot. Please do not explore inside the house, a roof collapse could happen before we can arrange for it to be replaced.

Magical Mossy Forest

Unfenced
5 acres

Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot is a large mystical woodland adventure for dogs in Redmond on the way to Carnation. Boots are recommended in the winter rain. MMF is preferred by puppies, dogs, people, adults and kids alike because it has potable water, power, picnic tables, chairs, several firepits, lit portapotties, 3 swing sets, 3 slides, monkey bars, 3 Forts, a log bridge to cross over Little Ames Creek for when the creek is flowing, a doggy playground, lots of picturesque moss, lighted parking lot, woodchip trails and many footpaths over 5 forested moss covered acres. Parking is near the road, separated by 50 ft of woods, so we suggest that all our doggy friends be leashed until they are on the trails with you. Please leash your dog until into the forest away from the parking area, after that Bob's Your Uncle! Watch kids and dogs in the parking area near the road, and at Ames Creek. A secluded place to dork out and have fun, enjoying a natural Pacific rainforest. Note that the creek is dry in midsummer until the fall and winter rains kick in. Boots are recommended in the fall and winter. Find a map of the main trails in a photo on our MMF Sniffspot site. There are lots of foot trails through the understory ferns. The log bridge can be used to cross Ames Creek, or you can ford it to discover the rest of Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot. Please pack out doggy bags with you because there is no garbage pickup here, please leave no trace. If there is a downpour and you want to wait it out there is a dry shed in the parking area. Access to power helps keep your batteries charged. Please carry your toilet paper (sorry it walks away). The portapotties are cleaned once a week. Please visit our Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61555379018442 Let us know if you have any questions. Synchronized play bowing to you!

124 Acre Conservation Farm Trails Fields Fun

Unfenced
124 acres

Follow our FB page for open days. Farm store now open! Swing in before your appointment and grab some retro sodas, dog beer (YES I SAID DOG BEER!), artisan smores kits and so much more! CASHLESS sales at the store please. Malaney Creek Farm is a 124 acre conservation farm comprised of fields, forest and wetlands. 3+ miles of private trails, open grassy fields. Trails are marked to keep you pointed in the right direction. Picnic tables, covered areas to duck out of the weather and portable restroom with hand sanitizer. Your sniffspot staging area is located in what we call our "Cascara" campsite. Covered picnic table, adirondack chairs, firepit and a big green grassy field. This spot is a central location near the portable restroom, easy drive in access, and a base location for exploring the trail network. Our trail system has been a labor of love. We enjoy providing unique experiences and highlighting the natural beauty of the forest and wetlands on the property. Once home to giant cedar trees the property was purchased by the Great Northern Railway in the late 1800's. A railroad system was built here and the giant cedars logged and milled onsite. You wouldn't be able to tell that now as the forest is doing a wonderful job of repairing itself. We do have a few artifacts scattered about that have been found that you will see on your walks. A large concrete trestle base, railway beams, rail spikes and misc metal items from the trains and equipment. Most of our trails accommodate hiking and mountain bikes (yes E-bikes are allowed ;), however the hiking only trails are really evolving. Our new wetlands trail is a quick link between Casacara and the Beargrass island trail. It is foot traffic only and features hand hewn cedar bridges made from cedar logs left behind by the logging operation over 100 years ago! Log rounds to hop across wet areas and places to stop and soak in the quiet. There is a diverse landscape of rare native plants on this hike and foraging opportunities abound! Fiddle head ferns, chicken of the woods and more! Our most prized flora is a large patch of Labrador Tea. A very rare species of plant related to the rhododendron that native american peoples used as a medicinal healing tea. So come out and explore! Bring appropriate footwear, your furry hiking buddies, a bottled water, and a camera. We look forward to hosting you! PLEASE NOTE, IF YOU CANCEL WITHIN THE 2 HOUR WINDOW BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. WE BLOCK OUT ALL DAY BOOKINGS FOR SNIFFSPOT APPOINTMENTS. Check out our website, insta and FB page for more photos too! Happy Sniffing!!l

55It's obvious the hosts put a lot of care and consideration into their Sniffspot! John met me upon arrival, helped me through his pasture and showed me around the Sniffspot property. My dogs had an absolutely WONDERFUL time running the trails, playing in the streams and eating grass. It was pretty muddy, but that was anticipated after all the snow and rain we've had. It certainly didn't affect their fun!

55We always love our time at Spring Acres! I bring my senior dog and a few of her young friends that keep her feeling youthful! Today we brought three friends who had never been to this spot before, and I think they had the time of their lives! So much space to romp, creeks to splosh, and new smells to enjoy. The human in our pack (me!) also appreciated some of the updates in the last year: bridges that had been replaced/repaired and stepping stones added to some of the muddier trails and one of the creeks... It made it easier for me to navigate and keep up with the pack! Thank you, John and Stephanie for a fabulous time!

55Where do I start, John, Thank you so much for Sharing this magical place with us. John was welcoming and gracious, he knew exactly how to respond to our under socialized dog, it was if they were already friends. He gave us a wonderful orientation of his beautiful property, which is maintained and a artfully so. There are many trails, all laid out on an outstanding, colorful artistic map. Even without a map, the trails are clearly marked with whimsical handmade plaques. Some of the trails look a little bit of a challenge for me, but my dog bounded here and there and everywhere. He had never been across bridges and he handled them like a trooper, lots of water, that my pup loved. I will come back again and again.

55We always have so much fun up here. ❤️ It's absolutely my favorite Sniffspot! We could come every day, and would never get bored or have the same experience twice. You can't help but laugh watching your pack race along the trails, splash through the creeks, scramble over logs, snoot and root under ferns, zoom around the pasture, and roll in the mud. The pups have the time of their lives, and you'll leave with joy in your heart. I appreciate how kind, generous and thoughtful our hosts are, sharing this magical place with all of us.

55This place is a gem. John was so kind and inviting. He made all the little bridges, the cabin, the trails. It was like a little getaway in an enchanted forest. Our dogs had a blast. My son did too. His goat was also very friendly and not scared of my dog. Haha. It was a beautiful property and landscape. I would highly recommend it!

55This place is a gem! Beautiful location with nice trails, creeks, and some open space for your pups to run. I bet it is even more beautiful in the Spring/Summer! The host was great to us. Very responsive, met us out there, and walked us out for our first time with very nice hand drawn maps. He gave us info about the property and eas very pleasant. He was very kind and patient as I do have two young anxious pups, Shepherd and Husky/Shep mix. As stated in their description, there are farm animals around, and you do go through a pasture first with chickens, turkeys, and cows nearby. I appreciated his patience with us getting past that with my two pups. Something we continue to work on in our training since GSD is very prey driven. Otherwise, mine have great recall and absolutely loved the trails to run on! It was a great way to spend the day and would love to come back!

FAQ about our Black Diamond dog hiking trails

Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
How can I find dog hiking trails in Black Diamond?
There are 16 dog hiking trails in the Black Diamond area. The most popular dog hiking trail is Gina's 24 Acre Partially Fenced Private Dog Park In Bonney Lake. You can browse all of our dog hiking trails here.
How do I know if a dog hiking trail works for my dog?
Sniffspot provides the tools to find the ideal spot. Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing 6 feet tall and distractions, to find a dog park with trails that works for your dog. You can also filter by size if you are looking for a certain acre park, an expansive off-leash dog park. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our fully fenced dog hiking trails. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog hiking trails where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. Since you are looking for trails, make sure to check photos to see if it the spot has flat trails or gnarly trails. You can also browse by specific amenities, if you are looking for a view or a beach, for instance, or other activities or fun features. You can check whether the spot has off or on street parking, the regular park hours, whether it has paved trails or a modern restroom.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog hiking trail?
In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
How much do Sniffspot hiking trails cost?
Dog hiking trails in the Black Diamond area range from $10.0 and $15.0. The least expensive dog hiking trail is 15 Acres Unfenced Private Dog Park In Easton.
