It’s always been very safe for off leash woodland adventures...because it feels like you have it all to yourself. You begin down at the lower pond by the castle and rock wall, Following a laidback walk in the shade up to the upper pond, woods and off leash park. There is bug spray along the trail in case you forget to use some and want it. This helps to ensure the property remains poop-free. Our completely fenced 1.3 acre Sniffspot and completely fenced property perimeter gives you peace of mind that your pups are safe and secure as you let them play and explore. With a gently sloping pasture for running, trees and stumps for exploring, and low-level agility equipment to build confidence on, your fur baby is sure to find something that sparks their interest. When the temps start reaching 80°, the kiddie pool will come out to refresh your pup's paws! The pool will be filled on these hot days sometime between 10:00 and noon and emptied every evening. If you would like a fresh fill for your pup(s) visit, filled for a morning visit or on a day that temps are below 80°, please add it as an "extra" for $6. Drinking water for dogs is provided, as is a hose that can be used to rinse dogs before and/or after playing. Balls are provided for dogs and chairs for humans! If you go right to the top left of the pasture and look East, you can get a view of Mount Pilchuck on a clear day Please respect the speed signs when you get to the dirt road! This is a pasture and we do turn out sheep and horses there every so often (not when you're there). Welcome to Shady Hill Hobby farm! Our farm offers a wooded pasture with a creek (note: during summer months the creek is muddy) that is fully fenced with horse fencing or barbed wire (see pictures). The gate at the end of the gravel path begins your off-leash experience! Once inside, you'll have the option to take a left to enjoy the creek or continue up the hill to explore the woods and pasture. Upon entering the farm, parking will be on your right. Please park your vehicle on the wood chips. Given this is an active farm with chickens and ducks free ranging we do ask that you keep your dog(s) on a leash until you are behind the Sniffspot gate. Welcome to our natural wetland oasis. Bring your rain boots & explore our trails! We have 1/2 an acre of fully fenced backyard and another 2 1/2 acres of unfenced (or partially fenced) property & trails to explore. Our land is surrounded by streams and many more acres of protected county land. Park at the dead-end street and then walk through our gate by the bridge and enter the fenced-in area by our “Welcome Bear” statue. Feel free to explore the front area down by the stream on your way out!

This beautiful 2-acre spot is fully fenced - 4-5' high, gates 4' high. There are potentially 2 areas that you can use right next to each other (fenced in between). Please note however, that the first Pasture that you come to does have an area where dogs can potentially get through and back to the gravel road. It is right inside the first gate on your right in the forest area there. The great thing is we are not near any sort of busy road. One thing to note is that my neighbor on the adjoining property has friendly, smaller dogs, and they do bark from time to time. You really can't see them all that much as there is brush, sticker bushes, and trees in between our properties. That said, you may hear them from time to time. What I find that works in quieting them up is to just walk over and talk to them. We welcome dogs that have different anxieties as well as being dog reactive and people reactive. There have been many people here with their dogs who have done just fine. There is a spigot with fresh clean well water, next to the clawfoot tub inside second pasture. We also have a bowl there for your use. We have wood for you to purchase, should you desire a fire while there. There are plenty of chairs and benches for folks to sit on. We have just under a half-acre fenced back yard. We have a large 2 level deck that you can relax on while watching your dogs run and play. We now how have an awesome covered deck, that is perfect for rainy weather! We have lots of balls in the back yard that you are welcome to kick or throw for your dog to chase. We have a water bowl out with fresh water in it. There are puppy poop bags along with dog treats and hand sanitizer on the table. Many dogs love to run through our middle garden and jump off to the lower level. We are absolutely fine with that, it makes for an awesome obstacle course.

This property is a walk under the canopy and in the sun. There are deer trails to go on and you will always find the road. Bring your boots during rainy season. Preferred parking is at the lower entrance (Red gate). The trail is 3/4 mile out and back with many off trail options. Learn about native plants from interpretive signs provided using resources from the Stillaguamish Tribe.

High Rock meadow is a 2+ acre securely-fenced natural meadow, surrounded by forest. Please note that this is NOT a manicured lawn space; it is a sloping meadow with uneven footing and heavy ground cover. You can explore a network of walking trails that wind through the perimeter forest, while your dogs romp in the meadow and zoom along the trails. There is no end to sniffing material in this 2-acre playground! Again, the terrain in this spot is uneven and sloping, with some steep areas on the trails and possible muddy areas. Sturdy shoes or boots are recommended. Those with mobility issues may have difficulty moving about in this spot. Additionally, we are located in a rural neighborhood and there are times when neighbors practice shooting. This is more likely to happen on weekends, so please keep this in mind when scheduling with dogs who are distressed by loud noises. I'm currently accepting bookings up to 1 month out. Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot is a large mystical woodland adventure for dogs in Redmond on the way to Carnation. Boots are recommended in the winter rain. MMF is preferred by puppies, dogs, people, adults and kids alike because it has potable water, power, picnic tables, chairs, several firepits, lit portapotties, 3 swing sets, 3 slides, monkey bars, 3 Forts, a log bridge to cross over Little Ames Creek for when the creek is flowing, a doggy playground, lots of picturesque moss, lighted parking lot, woodchip trails and many footpaths over 5 forested moss covered acres. Parking is near the road, separated by 50 ft of woods, so we suggest that all our doggy friends be leashed until they are on the trails with you. Please leash your dog until into the forest away from the parking area, after that Bob's Your Uncle! Watch kids and dogs in the parking area near the road, and at Ames Creek. A secluded place to dork out and have fun, enjoying a natural Pacific rainforest. Note that the creek is dry in midsummer until the fall and winter rains kick in. Boots are recommended in the fall and winter. Find a map of the main trails in a photo on our MMF Sniffspot site. There are lots of foot trails through the understory ferns. The log bridge can be used to cross Ames Creek, or you can ford it to discover the rest of Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot. Please pack out doggy bags with you because there is no garbage pickup here, please leave no trace. If there is a downpour and you want to wait it out there is a dry shed in the parking area. Access to power helps keep your batteries charged. Please carry your toilet paper (sorry it walks away). The portapotties are cleaned once a week. 2 acres with 5 foot chain link fence surrounded by forest and wetlands. This offers a distraction-free place for your dogs to get their zoomies on! You get both shade and sun, with grass, dirt, wood chips, (and a bit of mud in some spots during the rainy season). We are in the country, so our park doesn't share a fence line with neighbors. You won't see any other dogs. There could be far away dog barks from a few blocks over, but nothing up close. We don't use toxic sprays, so rest assured it's a natural and safe place to romp and play in private. The 2 acres has mature trees throughout and is mowed during the growing season. It's perfect for throwing tennis balls and getting lots of good sniffs in. You will be able to see your dog at all times (unless he/she is hiding behind a tree.)
