A .63 acre dog sanctuary for you and your pup. The yard is well maintained with dog friendly grass and has incredible views of the Hood Canal and Puget Sound. If you're interested, there is private beach access for you and your pup to explore miles of beach (public but almost always empty). There are numerous dog toys available and a massive 6+ person, dog friendly couch (late Spring to early Fall) you can relax on and watch the canal when you need a break! Regarding the beach, there are approximately 50 steps which you will need to climb up and down to access the beach so please wear proper footwear. As this is on the Hood Canal and not a lake or a pond, tides impact the size of the beach. If you are hoping to walk endless miles of beach, the tide will need to be at 2ft or below. Anything under 4ft will give you a massive area (probably 1/2 mile or more) and almost guaranteed private area as only people with stairs can access the beach at this tide level. Though the beach is open at any point, I think the maximum height you would probably want to go is about 6.5ft. This still gives you and your dog a decent sized area to play in (approximately 500ft by 30ft or 1/2 acre). Photos 16 and 17 show the beach at 6.25ft with a very large sandy area for you and your pup to play in. Anything above 6.5 ft is not recommended as the beach just gets thinner and thinner, but you're able to try if you want. (no refunds given if you don't like what you find). You are responsible for checking out the tides before you go. Legally, I can't recommend any specific source for you to use, but you might find good information Googling "tide chart port ludlow". Regarding ADA Accessibility, my property is on a gently sloping hill. To access it, there are 2 very wide concrete steps to get to the grass. This would be doable for someone on crutches and probably ok for a regular wheelchair if you had a second person to help lower you to each step and pull you up. It's definitely not accessible to a motorized wheelchair. Sorry. Note - restroom is only available if I'm home, otherwise there is one approximately 2 miles northwest at the gas station in Port Ludlow

Welcome to our natural wetland oasis. Bring your rain boots & explore our trails! We have 1/2 an acre of fully fenced backyard and another 2 1/2 acres of unfenced (or partially fenced) property & trails to explore. Our land is surrounded by streams and many more acres of protected county land. Park at the dead-end street and then walk through our gate by the bridge and enter the fenced-in area by our “Welcome Bear” through the Pumpkin Arch. Feel free to explore the front area down by the stream on your way out! ***PLEASE NOTE: We do have pet pigs and they will be visible to you and your dog. They are separately contained in their own fenced-in area, but it is wire fencing and you WILL see them. The pigs do not mind being barked at so that’s not a problem at all. In our fully fenced, gently rolling meadow there is plenty of room to run, chase frisbees and balls, dip paws in the pup-pool, and sniff around for the scents of nature. For humans, there is a cozy shelter with seating, a bistro table, and the entertainment of a frisbee "goal". There's shade from a large fir, in the meadow, as well as shade from the woods, on the south side. Fencing is at least 4 feet high, all around. It has a vision-block screen, a 4.8’ top wire, plus double fencing, on the side with neighbor dogs. If the neighbor's Goldens are out, they will friendly bark, and bark. They really want to come over and play. Surrounding Area: There are two private yards (one with an enclosed, screened chicken run, and one with friendly dogs); deep woods on the South side; and an incredible mountain view, over more meadow, on the West side. Sunsets from here are awe-inspiring! Parking: There is room for two vehicles to park near the gate the Meadow. Please park only on gravel and do not drive on the lawn near the meadow. If there are more than two vehicles in your party, please park up the hill in the gravel near the large, 4-car garage. LIMIT of 4 VEHICLES per reservation, unless organized in advance with us. There are four easy-closing gates in the fence, that are generally left open for wildlife passage. We will make every effort to have the gates closed before you arrive, but know that you're responsible for seeing that all 4 gates are closed before you unleash your pups. If you bring kids, you're also responsible for keeping them in the gates :D We hope you visit soon and come back often!

We have almost an acre fenced yard by the Silverdale dog park. We own three dogs. Two labs and one Jack Russell. There will be lots of smells in our yard. We have water access, a kitty pool you can fill on the hot days, a table so you can bring lunch while your pups play and some toys for your pup to play with. Our dogs are always locked up and away from the windows and doors during your visit.

This ensures a clean space for the pups that visit after you. Thanks! It's a large, open one acre pasture with plenty of room to run and play. Tall fir trees, our home and other single family homes surround the property. There are neighbors who walk their dogs or play with their dogs in their yards. There are no shared fence-lines but we are noting this in case your dog might be reactive or sensitive to seeing and hearing other dogs and people. There are also chickens nearby - see note below. Double gated entrance for security. Park along the fence on the gravel drive. Plenty of room for your pup to enjoy the zoomies! A few things below to note, thank you! *🎾💦 For the toys and water bowls, we have labeled bins for 'clean' and 'dirty/used'. Please utilize items from the clean containers and then place in used/dirty so we can thoroughly clean them. There are cleaning materials in case you would like to sanitize or self-clean bowls or toys. Thank you! * 🥾The terrain of the pasture does have some dips, bunny holes and there is a section of mown grass, as well as a portion of longer pasture grass, and sticks from the fir trees. Wearing solid and/or waterproof shoes will help you navigate the land. *💦 There is a water jug and spigot with hose in the pasture to use for drinking water. If you use the spigot, please be sure to turn it off. There are small plastic pools available for warm days. You are welcome to use a pool, but please empty it after use and return it to the fenceline area. *💡we have 4 sets of string lights on our fence, two small solar spotlights on the fence, and one large spotlight on the far power pole (motion sensor). It adds some brightness to the pasture for evening visitors. Note that since it is an acre lot, there is a portion of the pasture that is still quite dark once the sun is fully set. *🐓 There are two hens and one rooster on a neighboring fence line and the gate to their henhouse yard has a sign (don't let the chickens out, no matter what they say), as well as a secure gate latch plus bungee cord. They will stay on the far side of their yard, and hide under the shrub/tree cover so are usually not be visible from the Sniffspot pasture, but wanted to share in case this is bothersome to some pup guests. Our rooster, as well as neighborhood roosters, are regularly heard. *please note: due to the burn ban, wildland fires and the dryness of our land, we ask for no smoking on the property at this time, thank you
