Welcome! Our place is fully fenced with mesh wire. We have two husky mixes (who you won’t see or probably hear) who love the space and haven’t managed to find any gap in the fences to escape. Once you enter, the whole place behind the gate is for you to enjoy, including the fenced-in meadow, front and back around the house. You are free to let the dogs off leash as soon as you park and let them take the lead. Most of the land is flat and accessible. There are a couple of stairs and a small slope lead to my house and the back yard. (See 8th picture) Having two reactive dogs, I understand the significance of providing them with a safe space to unwind. We will never come out when you are here without prior communication. There are no visible neighbors or other domestic animals nearby. It’s the perfect place for the dogs to relax and decompress. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

High Rock meadow is a 3 acre securely-fenced natural meadow, surrounded by forest. Please note that this is NOT a manicured lawn space; it is a sloping meadow with uneven footing and heavy ground cover. You can explore a network of walking trails that wind through the perimeter forest, while your dogs romp in the meadow and zoom along the trails. There is no end to sniffing material in this 3-acre playground! Again, the terrain in this spot is uneven and sloping, with some steep areas on the trails and possible muddy areas. Sturdy shoes or boots are recommended. Those with mobility challenges may have difficulty moving about in this spot. Additionally, we are located in a rural neighborhood and there are times when neighbors practice shooting. This is more likely to happen on weekends, so please keep this in mind when scheduling with dogs who are distressed by loud noises. If you visit and the shooting practice is going on and you need to leave early, please notify me for a discount if you'd like to try us again. I'm currently accepting bookings up to 1 month out. We won't be actively working on it while you are here. We will only have temporary fencing in the first field (on the left as you come in though the first gate) as we the continue the work however. Please keep your dogs on a leash through the first field while we are working on improving the fencing and the area if recall is not good. ** This beautiful 2-acre spot is fully fenced - 4-5' high, gates 4' high. There are potentially 2 areas that you can use right next to each other (fenced in between). Please note that the first Pasture that you come to does have an area where dogs can potentially get through and back to the gravel road. It is right inside the first gate on your right in the forest area there. The great thing is we are not near any sort of busy road. One thing to note is that my neighbor on the adjoining property has friendly, smaller dogs, and they do bark from time to time. You really can't see them all that much as there is brush, sticker bushes, and trees in between our properties. That said, you may hear them from time to time. What I find that works in quieting them up is to just walk over and talk to them. We welcome dogs that have different anxieties as well as being dog reactive and people reactive. There have been many people here with their dogs who have done just fine. There is a spigot with fresh clean well water, next to the clawfoot tub inside second pasture. We also have a bowl there for your use. We have wood for you to purchase, should you desire a fire while there. There are plenty of chairs and benches for folks to sit on. Dog park has some fun stuff toys and dog food by the wooden fence. Gated farm sheep and chickens to check out, will leave some fresh eggs by the gate if we get some from our chickens that morning. Please don’t feed or throw anything into the unfinished koi pond, water in there are currently being salted. For a yard in Seattle this is a decent size. You can throw a ball across the yard for a game of fetch and quick sprints and a small pup will definitely find plenty of room to roam and be worn out. With fall upon us it is hard to keep up with the leaves and falling apples but doing my best and improvements to the gate are in the works. Hope you enjoy the yard!!

Fully fenced, mostly grass(rather dry and crispy during summer) with a wood chip and dirt walking path around the outer edge of the ever-changing yard and a couple garden beds. It's relatively flat and great for fetching! There are neighbor dogs that may occasionally bark next door along with a nearby horse we can hear every once in a while, but other than that, it's pretty quiet. [edit: The neighbor dogs are out more often for summer and they have been a bit barky, so if your dog is reactive, my spot might be better one to visit when Fall gets here and the Dachshunds are back to just being indoors] There are many squirrels and birds that frequent the yard, along with at least one mole that wreaks a bit of havoc on the grass. I'd prefer no digging, but if your dog got a mole, I would probably not be that upset about a hole. We lost one of our dogs last year and our remaining dog seems bored with the yard. I'm hoping making our yard into a Sniffspot will give him some enrichment as well, sniffing all the new dogs who have visited the yard. So far, all the new sniffs have been very exciting for my little rescue gremlin. :)

Our facility has a fenced off-leash Dog Park with Agility Equipment with unfenced on-leash grassy potty area just outside. Our agility course is complete with multiple single jumps, A-frame, dog walk, tunnel, teeter and weave poles. On-leash trail walk through our wooded trails behind the dog park for a small additional fee. Cedarbrook Farms is a 60 acre farm with about half of this acreage as wooded trails behind the dog agility park. The main trail loop is to the right and is maintained (however there are two wet spots, we recommend you wear boots in the rainy season), the loop to the left may or may not be maintained. You can access the main loop out the back gate of the dog park (be sure to close and secure the gate behind you) or if you go out the front dog park gate, walk around towards the back of the dog park and hang right when you see trail options. There are single track cross through trails through the center of the main loop that you can explore at your leisure as well. The main loop is about a 10-15 minute walk depending on your pace. Dogs must remain on leash at all times in the unfenced areas, horses/dogs share use of these trails. There is a portapotty available on site at the main arena barn, please have your dog in the car prior to approaching the arena barn area. We also have Cedarbrook Veterinary Care, veterinarian Dr. Hannah Mueller, on site and offer canine acupuncture, chiropractic, SCENAR and Theraplate. This field is only 30 mins north of Seattle, very close to I-5 and 405. It is relatively flat and a lot of fun for dogs to run and sniff. Wide-open space for running, digging and has quite a bit of shade to one side—a lot of space for retrieving balls or to walk around and sniff. The fencing is very secure and 8 feet tall. There is a power line over head. Given the current COVID-19 situation: please bring your own toys, water bowl, and chairs. Given the current wet season (=soft dirt), PLEASE DO NOT SMOKE/VAPE anywhere on the property nor ALLOW YOUR DOGS TO DIG ALONG THE FENCE LINE. A .63 acre dog sanctuary for you and your pup. The yard is well maintained with dog friendly grass and has incredible views of the Hood Canal and Puget Sound. If you're interested, there is private beach access for you and your pup to explore miles of beach (public but almost always empty). There are numerous dog toys available and a massive 6+ person, dog friendly couch (late Spring to early Fall) you can relax on and watch the canal when you need a break! Regarding the beach, there are approximately 50 steps which you will need to climb up and down to access the beach so please wear proper footwear. As this is on the Hood Canal and not a lake or a pond, tides impact the size of the beach. If you are hoping to walk endless miles of beach, the tide will need to be at 2ft or below. Anything under 4ft will give you a massive area (probably 1/2 mile or more) and almost guaranteed private area as only people with stairs can access the beach at this tide level. Though the beach is open at any point, I think the maximum height you would probably want to go is about 6.5ft. This still gives you and your dog a decent sized area to play in (approximately 500ft by 30ft or 1/2 acre). Photos 16 and 17 show the beach at 6.25ft with a very large sandy area for you and your pup to play in. Anything above 6.5 ft is not recommended as the beach just gets thinner and thinner, but you're able to try if you want. (no refunds given if you don't like what you find). You are responsible for checking out the tides before you go. Legally, I can't recommend any specific source for you to use, but you might find good information Googling "tide chart port ludlow". Regarding ADA Accessibility, my property is on a gently sloping hill. To access it, there are 2 very wide concrete steps to get to the grass. This would be doable for someone on crutches and probably ok for a regular wheelchair if you had a second person to help lower you to each step and pull you up. It's definitely not accessible to a motorized wheelchair. Sorry. Note - restroom is only available if I'm home, otherwise there is one approximately 2 miles northwest at the gas station in Port Ludlow

Our family has lived and worked this farm since 1912. Originally the fields were used to grow peas (1940's), dairy (1950-1960's), black angus (1970-1980's), hogs & dairy replacement heifers (1990's), fresh culinary herbs for the grocery stores (last 30 years). To enter the fenced Sniffspot follow the red reflectors up the grassy lawn hill past the large livestock gate that’s at the top, go around the top corner there is a people sized gate. Easy to find, easy to enter our fenced Sniffspot. Easy latch for coming, and going. If you choose to be adventurous you may choose to visit the forest area behind the fenced area. It’s a steep hill up with natural woodland ground, lots of ferns, beautiful nature untouched. Old trails exist, we have not cleared them in recent years, feel free to explore them if you would like to just know, they are not maintained and certain times of year there is brush and ferns. We have running water with a hose for your convenience at our pump house. You may occasionally see myself, my husband or my elderly mother by the house, and patio, working on the property and gardens, area around our home. We live above farms that takes care of their fields so you may hear mowing in the distance in the valley we set above. Please do not pick, or disturb the fruit on the trees. Please keep children, and all guests off the fence line, and do not step on the gates or fencing. Shut the gates when coming, and going. Please leash your dog/dogs upon arrival until you become aware of the setting. Your reservation must include the correct number of dogs in your visit that is stated in your reservation time. Correct or update this if need be before you start your visit at Barkley Park. We are happy to share our safe quiet countryside with pups and their people. We do not meet our Sniffspot guests, with that being said, feel free to send us a text or ask if you need help with anything. Enjoy! We do offer pet boarding in our home for select clients. Between the yard and the patio, the total area is roughly 3200 sq feet. I have a rockery that dogs love to run up and down, juniper bushes, a large covered and uncovered patio area, a kiddie pool in the hot weather, 2 water bowls (and a hose for replenishing the water/pool if needed), lots of tennis balls and toys, and a large perimeter to sniff! There is a bench, small table, and some Adirondack chairs in the backyard (and more chairs and a larger table up on the patio) for the humans... feel free to move them around as you wish! There is plenty of space to throw balls and toys; if you have mobility issues and cannot go down into the backyard, you can stay up on the patio and have your dog bring the ball back to you.
