2.1 acres of fully-fenced heaven. As a dog owner/lover, this provides a necessary peace of mind. Pull inside the gate, and let ‘em lose! Poop happens typically w/in first 10 mins; bags can be disposed in trash. Hose water available by front door, back patio, and chicken coop area. All areas are fair game once you are inside the gate. Once a stop on the Gig Harbor Garden Tour, this property boasts a variety of terrain to keep your pup(s) busy for hours. We are at the end of a private lane, and the back of the property abuts to 50 acres of DNR. Sightings of cattle, wild peacocks, deer, raccoons and grouse are common. Make yourself (and family) at home around the fire pit, small orchard, tree house, trampoline, flagstone paths and trails. Good shoes highly recommended. NOTE: Sniffspot is promoting their “Sniffpass”, and they have the box automatically checked to “Opt in” when you make a booking. This is out of my control. I do not want my guests to feel Sniffpass is necessary to book my spot. Beautiful sloped pasture with some woods at the lower end. 1.5 acres. If desired, you can drive right into the pasture and secure the gate behind you before letting your dog(s) loose. It changes by the season. In summer, the grass grows tall and you can enjoy the shade of alders in the lower portion. A seasonal creek runs through it in winter and spring. Your dog may find the scent of deer where they've bedded down at night, though it's unlikely that any will be present for your visit. You will see that I've planted and protected some fruit trees and native plants here and there. A sheltered area allows you to sit in the shade or out of the rain, and that's where you'll also find most amenities, such as toys and water. Access: There are two driveways onto the property. Use the north entry, with the "Pepper's Pasture" sign. After driving up that driveway, you'll see a "Sniffspot" sign on the gate into the pasture. Construction/site work: in spring of '25, you'll see that we are building beside the driveway that leads to the sniffspot. If your experience is disturbed by activity at that site (it's infrequent but can be unpredictable and might be noisy), please contact me for a promo code for your next visit.

**NEW** Sniffspot 2 We now have two spots available; we’ve opened a new one we are calling “Spot #2” that is located in the front pasture. This space should experience far less standing water and mud during the winter months. It also features a covered area and picnic table for your use. It is closer to May Valley so does have more road noise. If your pup likes to splash, feel free to use “Spot #1” as usual. If you’d prefer a cleaner experience, Spot #2 should provide that. There’s no difference in booking, just that you can pick which spot you’d like. We may at times need to close one or the other due to standing water or maintenance, but there should always be one spot open. We are working to ensure all amenities of spot 1 are available. Spot 1 *fall/winter update* We are working to get the heavy mud under control, this may take a few weeks. Please bring boots and be prepared for dirty dogs. We have various levels of flooding during the winter; the spot has is anticipated to have mud and large puddles. At times we may need to close the spot due to excessive flooding (no dry land!).  Please reach out if you have questions about how much water is in the spot.  Keep in mind we also have increased migratory waterfowl in the pasture adjacent. 1 acre of flat field in a beautiful setting. One large tree in the corner. Fully fenced approx 4.5’ with predator fencing. We have motion lights that come on at night, not super bright but makes the spot visible during early night winters. Boarded by two, large pastures, a private road with limited use and our barn. Occasionally during the wet months flocks of geese/ducks may land in the wetlands adjacent. We have goats, turkeys, geese, ducks and chickens but they are on the other side of the property and should not be seen/heard. We have two dogs, Veles and Flora, that will be on the other side of the property or in the house. There is a covered bench and trash can in the spot, fresh water is also available. An outdoor bathroom is available for use, see map. When using the bathroom please keep your pup in your car as it is near our goats and free range chickens. No known hazards aside from hilly terrain and some blackberry brambles (we are diligently fighting them). In rainy months Nov-April there is a shallow pond/wetland (bring a towel). Fencing is all new 5' agricultural fencing secure for dogs of all sizes. Enjoy the serene space with a creek just beyond the fencing. Many songbirds too! Upper pasture features a playset with slides and swings. Two benches for sitting. Maybe not suitable for very tiny dogs due to eagles/ hawks. Private!!! We have one Sniffspot pasture. The totally secure fully fenced Sniffspot pasture is on your left as you come up the driveway. Enter through the gate next to the American Flag. Be aware of the Alpaca in the separate fenced pasture above the Sniffspot pasture. There is also a hose at the bottom of the stairs on the north side of the building to rinse off your pup's paws if needed. It is fully fenced and gated although if your dog is small and escape-minded it may do so because it is wire field fence, not board fence. In our fully fenced, gently rolling meadow there is plenty of room to run, chase frisbees and balls, dip paws in the pup-pool, and sniff around for the scents of nature. For humans, there is a cozy shelter with seating, a bistro table, and the entertainment of a frisbee "goal". There's shade from a large fir, in the meadow, as well as shade from the woods, on the south side. Fencing is at least 4 feet high, all around. It has a vision-block screen, a 4.8’ top wire, plus double fencing, on the side with neighbor dogs. If the neighbor's Goldens are out, they will friendly bark, and bark. They really want to come over and play. Surrounding Area: There are two private yards (one with an enclosed, screened chicken run, and one with friendly dogs); deep woods on the South side; and an incredible mountain view, over more meadow, on the West side. Sunsets from here are awe-inspiring! Parking: There is room for two vehicles to park near the gate the Meadow. Please park only on gravel and do not drive on the lawn near the meadow. If there are more than two vehicles in your party, please park up the hill in the gravel near the large, 4-car garage. LIMIT of 4 VEHICLES per reservation, unless organized in advance with us. There are four easy-closing gates in the fence, that are generally left open for wildlife passage. We will make every effort to have the gates closed before you arrive, but know that you're responsible for seeing that all 4 gates are closed before you unleash your pups. Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot is a large mystical woodland adventure for dogs in Redmond on the way to Carnation. Boots are recommended in the winter rain. MMF is preferred by puppies, dogs, people, adults and kids alike because it has potable water, power, picnic tables, chairs, several firepits, lit portapotties, 3 swing sets, 3 slides, monkey bars, 3 Forts, a log bridge to cross over Little Ames Creek for when the creek is flowing, a doggy playground, lots of picturesque moss, lighted parking lot, woodchip trails and many footpaths over 5 forested moss covered acres. Parking is near the road, separated by 50 ft of woods, so we suggest that all our doggy friends be leashed until they are on the trails with you. Please leash your dog until into the forest away from the parking area, after that Bob's Your Uncle! Watch kids and dogs in the parking area near the road, and at Ames Creek. A secluded place to dork out and have fun, enjoying a natural Pacific rainforest. Note that the creek is dry in midsummer until the fall and winter rains kick in. Boots are recommended in the fall and winter. Find a map of the main trails in a photo on our MMF Sniffspot site. There are lots of foot trails through the understory ferns. The log bridge can be used to cross Ames Creek, or you can ford it to discover the rest of Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot. Please pack out doggy bags with you because there is no garbage pickup here, please leave no trace. If there is a downpour and you want to wait it out there is a dry shed in the parking area. 2 acres with 5 foot chain link fence surrounded by forest and wetlands. This offers a distraction-free place for your dogs to get their zoomies on! You get both shade and sun, with grass, dirt, wood chips, (and a bit of mud in some spots during the rainy season). We are in the country, so our park doesn't share a fence line with neighbors. You won't see any other dogs. There could be far away dog barks from a few blocks over, but nothing up close. We don't use toxic sprays, so rest assured it's a natural and safe place to romp and play in private. The 2 acres has mature trees throughout and is mowed during the growing season. It's perfect for throwing tennis balls and getting lots of good sniffs in. You will be able to see your dog at all times (unless he/she is hiding behind a tree.) Our beautiful very scenic Barkley Park sits on over 5 acres, just 3 miles from Old Town Lake Stevens. A little over an acre is securely and newly fenced for your dogs to free run for safe exercise. Fetch on a few different long, and large lawns that are non fenced, off leash, for those that are in full control of the friendly dogs. We are off the road and a safe, quiet, very private property. No mud ever, all of our property drains properly and is well maintained. We have plenty of parking, our setting is very private above large homestead acreage quiet farmland fields of the Schwarzmiller River Valley, Barkley Park is just 3 miles from old town Lake Stevens. To enter the fenced Sniffspot follow the red reflectors up the grassy lawn hill past the large livestock gate that’s at the top, go around the top corner there is a people sized gate. Easy to find, easy to enter our fenced Sniffspot. Easy latch for coming, and going. If you choose to be adventurous you may choose to visit the forest area behind the fenced area. It’s a steep hill up with natural woodland ground, lots of ferns, beautiful nature untouched. Old trails exist, we have not cleared them in recent years, feel free to explore them if you would like to just know, they are not maintained and certain times of year there is brush and ferns. We have running water with a hose for your convenience at our pump house. You may occasionally see myself, my husband or my elderly mother by the house, and patio, working on the property and gardens, area around our home. We live above farms that takes care of their fields so you may hear mowing in the distance in the valley we set above. Please do not pick, or disturb the fruit on the trees. Please keep children, and all guests off the fence line, and do not step on the gates or fencing. Shut the gates when coming, and going. Please leash your dog/dogs upon arrival until you become aware of the setting. Your reservation must include the correct number of dogs in your visit that is stated in your reservation time. Correct or update this if need be before you start your visit at Barkley Park. We are happy to share our safe quiet countryside with pups and their people. We do not meet our Sniffspot guests, with that being said, feel free to send us a text or ask if you need help with anything. Enjoy! We do offer pet boarding in our home for select clients. Everything our pup enjoys in life, is available to your pet, including a big pillow bed in the heart of our home.

We have a giant hill leading down to a majority of our property. Then it's open grass field and some forested area with only one neighboring house visible. It's common to see deer, rabbits, and Eagles. People and dogs can get a great workout on the hill, or you can throw a ball from the top and leave the workout to the dog.

CASHLESS sales at the store please. Malaney Creek Farm is a 124 acre conservation farm comprised of fields, forest and wetlands. 3+ miles of private trails, open grassy fields. Trails are marked to keep you pointed in the right direction. Picnic tables, covered areas to duck out of the weather and portable restroom with hand sanitizer. Your sniffspot staging area is located in what we call our "Cascara" campsite. Covered picnic table, adirondack chairs, firepit and a big green grassy field. This spot is a central location near the portable restroom, easy drive in access, and a base location for exploring the trail network. Our trail system has been a labor of love. We enjoy providing unique experiences and highlighting the natural beauty of the forest and wetlands on the property. Once home to giant cedar trees the property was purchased by the Great Northern Railway in the late 1800's. A railroad system was built here and the giant cedars logged and milled onsite. You wouldn't be able to tell that now as the forest is doing a wonderful job of repairing itself. We do have a few artifacts scattered about that have been found that you will see on your walks. A large concrete trestle base, railway beams, rail spikes and misc metal items from the trains and equipment. Most of our trails accommodate hiking and mountain bikes (yes E-bikes are allowed ;), however the hiking only trails are really evolving. Our new wetlands trail is a quick link between Casacara and the Beargrass island trail. It is foot traffic only and features hand hewn cedar bridges made from cedar logs left behind by the logging operation over 100 years ago! Log rounds to hop across wet areas and places to stop and soak in the quiet. There is a diverse landscape of rare native plants on this hike and foraging opportunities abound! Fiddle head ferns, chicken of the woods and more! Our most prized flora is a large patch of Labrador Tea. A very rare species of plant related to the rhododendron that native american peoples used as a medicinal healing tea. So come out and explore! Bring appropriate footwear, your furry hiking buddies, a bottled water, and a camera. We look forward to hosting you! This beautiful 2-acre spot is fully fenced - 4-5' high, gates 4' high. There are potentially 2 areas that you can use right next to each other (fenced in between). Please note however, that the first Pasture that you come to does have an area where dogs can potentially get through and back to the gravel road. It is right inside the first gate on your right in the forest area there. The great thing is we are not near any sort of busy road. One thing to note is that my neighbor on the adjoining property has friendly, smaller dogs, and they do bark from time to time. You really can't see them all that much as there is brush, sticker bushes, and trees in between our properties. That said, you may hear them from time to time. What I find that works in quieting them up is to just walk over and talk to them. We welcome dogs that have different anxieties as well as being dog reactive and people reactive. There have been many people here with their dogs who have done just fine. There is a spigot with fresh clean well water, next to the clawfoot tub inside second pasture. We also have a bowl there for your use. We have wood for you to purchase, should you desire a fire while there. There are plenty of chairs and benches for folks to sit on. Added an outhouse with hand sanitizer, covered seating area, privacy screen along fence to help with anyone walking dogs down the street or the neighbors concrete business. Mostly quiet neighborhood where you can feel safe to let your dog run and dig. Large playground tunnel equipment for your doggy to play in! Don't let the darkness defeat you taking your canine out to play! Installed 3 street lights to keep the early darkness at bay. Light timer switch is on the left inside the dog two way gate. Lights take a couple minutes to get fully bright. Now you can play with your dog from 6am to 9pm. Enjoy this private area that you can let your dog off leash without having to worry about anyone interrupting your time with your dog. Picnic table with cover. Water dish, poop bags, waste bin, sticks and balls with a chuck it at entrance. Coordinate with a friend and meet here to let your dogs play together while you catch up. We charge $13 for the hour space rental so, *please mark only one dog even if you are bringing more* The space has a long grassy open [360 feet] area to use a chuck it for dogs that love to fetch. A large cedar provides shade on half of the property while the other half is in the sunshine. This is a fun spot for dogs to exercise their legs and noses. Please check back for future upgrades. The indoor arena is heated, during the cold rainy season and also air conditioned during the hot summer months. The indoor ‘Dog Den’ is also great for having a Birthday or Gotcha “Pawty”. The Dog Den can be fully enclosed for those rainy days or stay cool in summer with the A/C on. The slider will open into the fully fenced 1/4 acre grass dog Zoomy Pen🐶 The fully enclosed grass ‘Zoomie Pen’ is perfect for zoomie time, puppies and dogs in training, some toy fun, playdates, or for dogs without good recall. We have lights in the indoor and around the Zoomie Pen for the dark autumn and winter evening nights. Just outside the Zoomy Pen is our large play field giving lots of room for Chuckit tossing☄️parkour on the logs, relaxing on the lounge chair under the trees or some nose work fun for mind stimulation and enrichment. We'd like to share the enjoyment we've had with our dogs on the trails & training areas. As well as the designated run & play area. For your first scheduled time please pull up to the gate with the yellow horse, Xing sign on it & text me upon arrival. Pet Ponderosa Resort & Spa offers premium pet grooming and boarding services as well as dog walking, pet cleanup, and pet transportation services. Now introducing our additional fenced area for your convenience, ensuring a safe and private off-leash play experience. Something to note if you have a reactive pup: Pet Ponderosa is a dog boarding and daycare facility. There will be dogs barking, and at times, dogs will be on the other side of the fence of the sniff spot.

It’s always been very safe for off leash woodland adventures...because it feels like you have it all to yourself. You begin down at the lower pond by the castle and rock wall, Following a laidback walk in the shade up to the upper pond, woods and off leash park. There is bug spray along the trail in case you forget to use some and want it. Please respect other visitors and make sure to put your doggie bags in the provided trash bins, and PLEASE do not put your doggie bags in the fire pit!!!
