Imperia's Canine Connection 1+ Acre Private Dog Park Temporary Closure Notice: The hailstorm on May 30th wreaked havoc on the roofs of my home and outbuildings. I will need to close access from September 16th to 21st so the roofs can be replaced, and repair work can be completed on the horse barn. Thanks for understanding. Happy Tails! - Jon The Spot: Over 1 acre of fully fenced (6' chain link) field area with a drive-through gate so your dogs can start running right out of the car. The surface is packed sandy soil with the lush natural vegetation of the spring starting to dry up with the summer heat. A walk around the interior fence line is about 1/4 mile so it's great for the active dog owner too. It's a close-in rural location right in Aurora just two miles east of I-225 from the Sixth Ave exit. While my field area is strictly for the dogs, there is a horse in a corral area next to the dog field. My neighbor has loose chickens on his property. Neither the horse nor the chickens are bothered by dogs. Dogs may bark out of curiosity and that's totally appropriate and ok, but they soon realize that with no reaction there is no need to bark. Have lure coursing available by appointment (must confirm by message for operator availability) and custom agility equipment (must make special arrangement for using that) and check ahead, the agility equipment is sometimes out at other locations for events. We know of a trainer who may be offering classes for Agility, Obedience & Behavior Modification at our location. If interested please contact us and provide your information, the trainer will setup a class time when we have sufficient interest to fill a class of 3-6 people at our location.

3/17/24 - Yard is a mix of mud and snow right now(towels available for clean up). Neighbors house next door burnt down and no one is living there so it has been quiet. Neighbor 2 houses down has a dog (male boxer) that sometimes barks.
