It's a 10-acre property with several trails through rustic wooded areas and a large Field of Dreams (with an overlook) to enjoy. You (human) will get a pretty decent walk in along with your dog! Disappear into the woods with your doggo pack and explore the property. The main trail through the woods is a little over a quarter mile long, and there is plenty to sniff and explore along the trail. It is a hike with some slight inclines and declines, but nothing very strenuous. The woods are very quiet and serene, but they are also robust and eagerly await your adventures! We recommend starting on the main trail that begins behind the barn and then either exploring more trails on the way to the field, or just heading directly to the field for wide-open fun. The Field of Dreams fluctuates between being mowed and having areas of tall grass. Deer visit our field regularly, so hopefully, your pack will find some interesting things to sniff. There is a sitting area on the field for you to rest while your pack runs like the wind, explores, fetches, or simply enjoys the day. There are several other small, interesting trails to explore and reconnect with nature. Just follow the map and signs. Make sure you snap a pic by the Guard Shack and read its history. Inside the shack are some interesting feathers to smell. All trails are marked. We have several dogs that have a fenced area by the house, however, we keep the dogs inside when we have Sniffspot visitors. Occasionally, you might hear them bark when visiting, but generally, they are tucked away and occupied when we have Sniffspot guests. We are working on a few projects around the property, mostly on the house to include rebuilding the deck. You may occasionally see us up at the house working on one project or another, but we are respectful of your privacy. Located atop Dixie Mountain, the drive up is filled with snatches of lovely views of the surrounding mountains and Portland (weather dependent). The view is especially gorgeous if you mosey up from Highway 30. There certainly is a lot to do, see, and smell on Dixie Mountain! We hope you will come see us. ****************************************************************************************************** In August of 2023, we were in southern Alabama visiting our son who is in the US Army. He found two abandoned puppies at a deserted boat ramp and after trying to find them homes for two weeks, our only options were to turn them into a kill shelter or bring them home to Oregon. After bringing home these two abandoned puppies from Alabama, where there is a definite crisis facing abandoned animals and a shortage of space at no-kill shelters, we felt a calling to help our no-kill shelters here in Oregon. I feel strongly about supporting our local shelters and spreading the donations around. All profits from my Sniffspot are donated to local shelters, which rotate. So far we have donated to Family Dog New Life Shelter, Bonnie Hays Animal Shelter, Oregon Dog Rescue, and Oregon Humane Society, Oregon Friends of Shelter Animals. Restroom is in our travel trailer. This property is a mini farm so you will encounter horses, chickens, ducks and geese. Poultry can be locked up. We have trails through the property from the deer. There is a fenced area for those that are still learning and a wide open play area for those that are okay off leash and want to get the lead out. As a working hobby farm we are constantly working on the property, but we will always be respectful and give you privacy. This is a 2 acre wooded loop on Mt Scott. Our property bumps up against the Wahoo nature reserve is very private, shaded by large trees and well maintained. Our dog loves the woods and creek. We decided to open it to the community so other dogs and their families can enjoy it.

Hi! My name is Theresa. I recently started my sniffspot and love sharing my property with you and your doggos to enjoy. We will provide you and your best friend ( friends) with two acres of fully fenced property for your dogs to run free! Part of the property is Forest, where your dogs can forage, roam amongst the trees, dig, or just take in all the smells. Our visitors tell us It's the best of both worlds with the woods to roam and open areas to play fetch or practice on some of the agility equipment . Our space is very peaceful and beautiful, with lots of texture. We have a shade (or rain) canopy with a picnic table under it, fresh water, toys, and poop bags. :) I have 3 dogs that roam the upper 2 acres of the property. Sterling (border collie) Piper (border collie) and our newest member Wriggley ( husky mix) SHE was supposed to be a foster dog, but we fell in love with her... If your dogs roam up to the very edge of the Woods where the 4 acres are divided, they may see or hear my pups if they are outside. My pups may also bark for a minute as you play in the grass area down below if they see you. The property adjacent to us is the home of two nice dogs. They are very friendly. If our neighbors let them into their back field, there is a chance you and your dog will see them. Those same neighbors also have some piglets that are sometimes allowed to roam on the back end of their property. There is a chance you will catch them romping around. We hope to see you soon!

Private Dog Park on 1+ Acres near Mt. Scott Creek: We are a private park 5 minutes from Clackamas Town Center. A fully enclosed (1 acre) field and hills with Mt Scott Creek meandering through the lower field (the creek is not fenced at both ends). The creek runs all year; the water level reduces in the summer, but there are locations where dogs can still completely submerge themselves and cool off on hot days. In the winter, the water level rises and turns into rushing torrents after a few days of heavy rain. The entire acreage is pesticide-free, making it safe and ideal for dog owners who enjoy playing hide and seek with their pets. Rainy boots are recommended that one section of the lower field can get wet and muddy in the winter on rainy days, otherwise the majority of the fields, especially the upper fields, are completely dry. Nature in the City is a unique Private Dog Park that is 1 1/2 acres of beautiful natural land with varied landscapes. Our natural setting has different areas including 2 grassy fields perfect for fetch w/discs, ropes, or toys, (balls are not best here due to all of the surrounding bushes), areas great for running, a forested area with several nature trails for a hiking adventure where your dog(s) can run, explore, run & feel free, a large tree’d area that your pups can run under, and a healthy little creek that your pups can wade in, cool off, and drink from. Your dogs will have so many different sniffing and secure off-leash exploring opportunities here! Our spot is so much more than just a fenced field! The area is diverse and so much fun for your dog(s). There are a couple areas on the trails that are a little steep, there’s an area where you have to walk on logs 🪵, and the little creek has to be stepped over, so people with limited mobility may have issues in these areas of the spot. There are plenty of spaces and trails that are suitable for all abilities. If you’re looking for a basic fenced field to play chuck-it then this probably isn’t your spot. We are continually working on our property, so every time you visit it will have more open space, more trails, and less blackberry bushes. We provide a rain/sun shelter with foldable chairs and lots of supplies including dog toys & balls, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, wipes, hand towels, cornhole, 2 lounge chairs, 4 folding chairs. a kids size picnic table, and fresh drinking water for your pups. There are open areas with sun ☀️, and there is shade all day due to many large trees. Our property is fully secure with 5 to 6 ft fencing. We are located close-in on the Westside of Vancouver one mile from I-5 on 78th Street in West Hazel Dell near Felida. *Seasonal Attention-We have baby bunnies on our property. They usually hide really well, but if your pup finds a baby or a nest, please redirect your pup to try to avoid the bunnies from getting hurt. The blackberries are ripe and yummy right now! Our yard is mostly grass with some trees for shade, chairs and a hammock for humans, and plenty of privacy for all. Fences are solid wood, 6 feet tall all around. Our pup, Major, will be indoors (unless you request a play with him - he's a friendly golden retriever). We'll keep the curtains closed for your privacy, but he may sneak a peak to say hi through the window. If you have a reactive dog and would like our dog completely out of sight, message me and I can accommodate that with prior notice. There are neighbors on the side with dogs that your pup may see arriving to the spot. Plenty of parking in front of the house. Private side yard entrance to the right of the house by the garage. Please use what you see available - pooper scooper and dog bags on the patio, toys throughout the yard, towels, hose and water station for pups, garbage bin on your way out at the side of the house.

Happy Apple Dog Park-AKA Gus’ Park is a fully fenced yard with lawn and some bark dust, There multiple shrubs, trees and plants for your furry companion to check out. A farm favorite are the giant oak trees which provide shade. Feel free to take a seat and watch your friend run and explore! On site we have a small dog (23lbs) and a multiple cats as well as three horses. The neighbors on both sides have dogs but there is no contact-just line of sight! Come enjoy Gus’ favorite spot!

Run your dog through all the agility obstacles! A Saw-Dust Toilet Outhouse is available for your convenience. See pictures. It’s there incase you need it. Coming Soon: a swing-set for the kids, more obstacles, more toys. Dogs are free to dig as much as they want! Our farm is 1/2 mile down a private drive. The Sniffspot is at our property entrance along our driveway. There’s a mini-Aussie that lives in the white house 500 ft away from the Sniffspot. Our yard is our personal little paradise, a relaxing and beautiful space to be present in the moment. Our spot was designed and built specifically to help keep pets in their homes. We are a search and rescue that deals with hard cases and know what its like to have dogs that can’t be around other dogs, animals or people. This spot is dedicated to those dogs in an effort to help keep them active and happy at home so their families don’t have to give them up or have them end up in a shelter. All proceeds from this sniffspot go directly to I Paw’d It Forward's mission of keep families together.
