We have a shade (or rain) canopy with a picnic table under it, fresh water, toys, and poop bags. :) I have 3 dogs that roam the upper 2 acres of the property, which is my backyard. Sterling (border collie) Piper (border collie) and our newest member Wriggley ( husky mix) SHE was supposed to be a foster dog, but we fell in love with her... If your dogs roam up to the very edge of the Woods where the 4 acres are divided, you will most likely hear my pups if they are outside. We have placed a privacy material along the fencing so that the dogs will not be able to have any contact, but they will see shadows through the material. My pups may bark and run up and down the fence line as you play in the forest if they hear you. The property adjacent to us is the home of two nice dogs. If our neighbors let them into their back field, there is a chance you and your dog will hear them. If you have aggressive or reactive dogs, PLEASE give me a heads up. Nature in the City is a unique Private Dog Park that is 1 1/2 acres of beautiful natural land with varied landscapes. Step out of the city and into our natural setting that features different areas including 2 grassy fields perfect for fetch w/discs, ropes, or toys, (balls are not best here due to all of the surrounding bushes), a couple of forested areas, several nature trails for hiking adventures, and a wetland-like area with a healthy little creek that’s a hit with the pups. They can wade, cool off, and drink from the natural water. Your dogs will have so many different sniffing and secure off-leash exploring opportunities here! Our spot is so much more than just a fenced field! The area is diverse and so much fun for your dog(s)! This is a great spot to work on recall. There are a couple areas on the trails that are a little steep, there’s a trail where you have to walk over logs 🪵, and the little creek has to be stepped over in places, so people with limited mobility may have issues in these areas of the spot. There are two bridges over the creek, and we will be adding one more bridge at the far west end of the spot soon. There are plenty of spaces and trails that are suitable for all abilities. If you’re looking for a basic fenced field to play chuck-it then this probably isn’t your spot. We are continually working on our property, so every time you visit you will see improvements! We provide a rain/sun shelter with 4 foldable chairs (message us in advance if you need more chairs and we’ll put them out for you), and lots of supplies including dog toys & balls, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, sunscreen, wipes, hand towels, first aid kit, and a cornhole yard game. We also provide snacks and beverages for humans and doggos! Located outside are 2 zero-gravity reclining chairs, a kids size picnic table, a round metal table w/umbrella & 4 metal chairs, and fresh drinking water for your pups. There are open areas with sun ☀️, and there is shade all day due to many large trees. Our property is VERY secure with 5 to 6 ft fencing. We walk the fence line regularly and check to make sure it’s secure. We are located close-in on the Westside of Vancouver one mile from I-5 on 78th Street in West Hazel Dell near Felida. *It gets muddy in areas when it has been wet/raining outside. We have wood chips along trails and in muddy areas which help a lot! Come prepared so you enjoy your visit. **We recently added 6 solar flood lights in the main field area for those of you who visit after dark. They provide subtle light at the entryway, main field, and the shelter for about 4-5 hrs after it gets dark outside. If you you want to explore the trails after dark we recommend putting a collar light on your dog(s), and that you bring headlamps and flashlights 🔦. ***We recently added a small bridge over the middle section of the creek! After going though Windenfir training field gate you will see the back gate with a sign “Windenfir Dog Pasture." Great place to explore and let them sniff. Looking to the right when out in the pasture, the neighbors Goldens occasionally bark. Two fences between properties on this side. Owner usually calls them when barking. The pasture has goat droppings so no surprises. This is a farm :) Chickens and goats in separate area and visible to dogs (see photos). Don’t be surprised if they come up to the fence to see what’s going on. The animals have been raised around dogs and are not bothered by them. They would come out if they could. Very nice field fencing in pasture. Chain link/field fencing in training field. As of now the training field and pasture are muddy and slick in areas. Agility equipment can be slick also due to rain. Check pasture area if deciding to throw a ball/stick/small child :). Hard packed in areas and not level in some. Playhouse is open for photos and kids. My 2 pups really enjoyed their visit, especially my girl who found a large ball in the pasture. She had such a good time with that! She wanted to take it home with us, but I made sure we left it for another dog to use. Very clean and appreciated the large tub of water especially since it was warm today. Thank you!

We all (people & dogs alike) had such a great time here! We booked for 2 hours on a warm Saturday afternoon — The hosts were SO kind to leave a whole bunch of goodies including some water, sodas, snacks, fresh fruit, and dog treats! There was even bug spray, which we didn’t end up needing since there weren’t really any bugs but it was so thoughtful! They provided a great variety of toys for the dogs which our little pack had a blast with, and they enjoyed running through the little apple orchard on the property. There were horses across the street (separated by two 4ft fences) that Obie was very interested in, but I felt very secure that the property fence to keep him from “investigating”. Also great spot for some pretty pictures with the apple trees! This would be such a good spot to rent for a few hours and bring a picnic, since there’s a nice shaded table and even a fire pit for when the days begin to shorten :D All in all phenomenal experience and can’t wait to come back!

Loved it! Easy to get to, big yard for play, really enjoyed the thoughtful people and dog snacks available. The dogs LOVED playing with the available toys as well! Super happy about a fully fenced, safe place to go. We can't wait to go back.

Nice little piece of property. Plenty big enough for our dogs to run, they had a blast and got tired out. Was concerned when property owner said to keep dogs off deck but no worries it had a gate. Felt very safe letting dogs off leash. Nice touch with dog toys and thank you for providing water. We will definatly will be back.

Better than advertised! Gorgeous property, an absolutely perfect spot. I was able to let my 130 lb dog off leash for the first time because of the great fencing and secluded location! 10/10 recommend- well worth the nice 30 min drive from the city. I was able to exercise, play, and do some training work with my (currently) aggressive guard dog that I rescued 2 weeks ago. I appreciate this spot so very much! The property owners have all the amenities provided that you’d need. They take care of the place, it’s immaculate.

Great large, securely fenced-in area for dogs to play. A big ol' bucket of water is provided as well. There is also a wooded area on the property your dogs can explore. We will def be back! Hosts were helpful and nice.

Great spot, with room to run and a sturdy fence around it (my husky likes to probe for gaps - he didnt find one). Google maps took us to a house just short of the location - look for a business sign by the road and head up the long gravel driveway to find the right place.

Luka and I enjoyed our time out here. Some time was spent in the fenced area and some time was spent more adventurously on the back side, unfenced area, near and in the creek. I don't have good recall for Luka. but he really enjoyed the creek. We'll def be back.
