55Great spot for dogs who want to explore and run, chase and run some more. Beautiful location on the island. Places to sit and completely open to the sun if it’s shining. Take towels if your dog likes to go into water. I always take extra drinking water for my lab.Kathy W.

55Love the new entrance to the field! Beautiful spot as always.
One of the horses was grazing over the fence for a bit during our visit. Just a heads up for others - not a problem for my pups. They barked a bit from a distance but they care more about snacks than horses and were easily distracted! We kept a respectful distance and horse did not seem bothered by our presence ☺️
Thanks again for a lovely romp! A. D.

55Super great spot and great host! I was worried about the horses along the fence as I have three dogs with high prey drive and the host was super accommodating when I asked if it was possible to out them up for our visit. The spot was perfect for my boys and everyone had a blast! There were a lot of little critter holes near the end of the spot that were a small hazard to my boys. We just avoided the area and didn’t have any problems. We loved this spot and will absolutely return in the future!!Tom R.

55Love this spot. Huge and securely fenced. There are a ton of burrs in the water area which the host discloses so just be careful if you have a long hair dog. Kendall S.

55First time visiting and it is definitely in our top 3 places to go. The space is well fenced and kept very clean! Easy instructions to follow.
There was a doggo that came out on the neighbor’s side. Not a big deal for us. The played with each other through the fence. Very sweet dog! Will be back! Erin A.

55My girl really loves this Sniffspot! The first time we came the horses were not in their pasture and I let her off leash. This time they were out and it gave us the opportunity to work off of them with her leashed! Still plenty of space to let her have a long lead on and relax. Raquel P.

55Some quick points-
1. There was a couple of other reviews that almost made it sound like the entrance was hard to find or identify from google maps. As someone who’s directionally challenged… I can confirm- this was incredibly easy to find. I’m not even entirely sure how people were missing the entrance before? Either way the signs out front were great.
2. The area is really well kept! It’s not just an overgrown pasture with weeds- you can tell the owner takes good care of this part of the lot (mowing ect).
3. A final note because I didn’t know what to expect before coming… The area of the lot that actually shares a border with the horses is a pretty small corner. In comparison to how big the rest of the boundary is- it didn’t seem like a big deal... There’s a wire gate (apparently the top that is electric) that separates them off. I’d honestly be a little worried if I had a dog that was reactive or that liked to jump (if it really is conducting electricity)… that being said if that’s your dog you probably wouldn’t be coming to a place near horses to start with 😅
All in all- definitely would come back! James M.

55Easy to find/ access. Fence and perimeter felt safe for our dogs. We did see a dog on the other side of the fence that was able to greet my dog through the fence which is fine for us but may not be for a reactive dog! Overall great spot for a quick doggy play date or a relaxed sniff session. Elizah E.

55My girls and I loved this sniffspot. So much room to run around, really easy to find as well as a clear parking area and really fun platform for them to climb on and sit on. We are working on training as well so it was great to have horses nearby that were chill and didn't panic when my dog barked a couple of times. I'm working with her to come to me and relax even when there are new things around her but it's a work in progress so it was good training. We would definitely go back. Beautiful spot. Skye A.

FAQ about our Scappoose small dog parks
Are small dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by park users so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars.

How do I know if a small dog park works for my dog?
Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing and distractions, to find a dog park that works for your furry friends. If your dog doesn't respond to owner commands, you can visit one of our enclosed dog park areas. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our small dog park sites where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can see any park amenities provided, including a park bench, water for dogs or water features such as kiddie pool or water hose. If your dog loves water, you can go to a park with water features, but if they don't love water, you can avoid them. We also recommend reading reviews to check for park maintenance issues and reaching out to the host with any questions. And lastly, of course, check park hours. Many of our parks are open from dawn until dusk.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot park?
We require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that owners sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. We also require that pet owners follow safety protocols around water features.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot park at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
