Mookie's Magic Meadows

Hello I am Mookie, a Golden Doodle who loves to play ball and my Human is Grace. She got me this place with a long yard, perfect for playing with a chuck it! I begged for a pug and she let me have Frankie. We are happy to share our yards which have different areas for different Dog needs. Human needs can be taken care of too. We are starting out, but expect to make it a lot more fun as the weather improves. Frankie and I will not be coming out to visit your dogs, but once you leave we will enjoy learning about them on our scent hunt. We believe this will create a lot of interest and fun for us and for your special family members too. We now have a place for your humans to wash you when you leave the sniffspot area. It is currently set up with kiddie pool, shower head and hose, with lavender wipes as well. Hand sanitizer now available for humans to use. In the summer, there will be lots of water and hoses available for getting water and there will be bowls too! This is a place for fun , everything is not perfect yet, but the yard is a lot of fun for Frankie and also for me! We love to explore and sometimes we see deer here and other wild animals! Come VIsit us at Mookie's Magic Meadows for a Magically fun time! UPDATE: Storm damage has been repaired. All fences are secure. There is a shade canopy which will protect from the rain and some chairs to relax in. You may encounter holes because dogs love to dig in the soft turf and the hill of dirt, please let me know if you find some that I have not gotten filled between visits and I will fix that! The vehicle on the site is a Continental Rocket trailer that is going to be refurbished. I have been asked if someone lives in it and the answer is NO! It is not ready for that yet! With so many trees, there are piles of branches that were picked up after the storm that have not been burned yet. Debris will be disappearing as time permits. None of the debris is dangerous to your dogs, or you! PLEASE NOTE: If your ball or other toys go over the fence, they now belong to my neighbor! PLEASE You must not go over the fence to get them!! I have other balls and will be happy for you to use them while here, if they go over, I can deal with him later! Thank you for your consideration of my neighbors. Please take pictures of your beautiful happy dogs and share here! Let's make other dogs and humans know there is a safe place to play! Thank you and we look forward to making dogs happy so that they can live their best lives! Additional note. WE have two safe yards (Never booked at the same time) completely fenced. The entry is also securely fenced. One Orange temporary fence is fixed now and dogs will not easily get through it, although when clever dogs test it, it leads only to fenced areas. Your action of closing the gate upon entry and exit keep all dogs safe. Thank you all for your consideration!

Perfect spot! I took our 2 high energy doggies today. The barn provides toys and water for them. It is a sand type “footing” not dirt. I wore white sneakers (not planned) and they hardly got dirty at all. This will be a weekly visit for these happy pups!

We had a great time today at Todd Acres! Perfect indoor spot! It was bright, clean, and owners have put some thought into making the space as private as possible. My dogs loved romping around and smelling everything. We will be back!

We had a great visit! Spacious mowed field with lots of space to run, romp and sniff. There’s a neighbor dog that my dog slipped through the fence to play with, which she enjoyed, but might not work for all dogs.

Beautiful location with lots of space to play. My dogs are good with other dogs at a distance so we just stayed away from the fence line and all three of my dogs enjoyed exploring, fetch and sniffing around!

Our visit to Jessica's country field was everything I had hoped for, and quite true to her descriptions and easy to fine. My elderly pup and I enjoyed walking the field a few times over, as she caught interesting odors on the wind and checked out little critter holes and trails, some of her favorite things. I appreciated the peaceful setting and views, so much like my childhood farm home!

We had a great time and really enjoyed the space even though it was raining like crazy. There was plenty of room for parking and they even provided a little canopy and chairs. Definitely will book again.

Exactly what we needed: a ton of space for Willa to run and sniff and hunt field mice. I’d say as long as your dog isn’t dead set on escaping you, then it’s plenty secure. There’s a lab that lives on the back who will (playfully) run along the fence if engaged. Accessibility: It’s fairly flat from the parking spot to the two chairs set out. I wouldn’t navigate the field with a mobility device due to gopher/mole holes. We’ll definitely return! 🐕 💜

Our six month old lab had a great time - this was his first experience off leash with any significant room to roam. Like previous reviewers said, the ground is uneven, but our dog (who runs full speed and is pretty careless) navigated fine, but do beware of your dogs capabilities. I noticed the owner had some toys out to use, but we brought our own. Side note, the view of the surroundings were pretty, so that made it a nice spot for us too :) We will be back!

Had a good visit, gorgeous weather and found the place with no issues. I did see the neighbor’s dog out but wasn’t worried about our dog getting in since their gate was closed, however, there is a 2-3 foot gap by the gate that I didn’t see and didn’t realize was there from the description. After my dog running the fence a number of times with the neighbors dog, she decided to pop right through and play on their side of the fence. Good to be aware of this so we can call her away if she heads over near their gate. I just assumed with the gate closed she wouldn’t be able get through. Overall enjoyable, I think we will be back.

Great spot for a crazy dog like mine to run! I do recommend a good recall. The nearby road is very quiet and not dangerous by any means, but regardless, it is not fenced off, as disclosed in the original description. Super clean, provided balls, and a place to scrub the mud off your boots.

Very nice field to run Around in! Be sure to have a good recall on your dogs. The neighbor dog was at the fence barking but my dogs didn’t pay any attention to it. I

Even though it was a rainy, windy morning, we had a successful exercise session! The pups are fast asleep now :) Easy to find, tucked off the dead end road so there was no concern of the dogs running into traffic. It was the perfect muddy field to get the zoomies out!

Nice big field with lots of VERY interesting smells apparently. My 3 girls had a great time sniffing, romping around, digging at gopher holes, and munching on grass. The neighbors’ friendly golden retriever and my pups checked each other out a couple times at the back fence and were all very excited. My dogs luckily have decent recall or else I am pretty sure they would have breached the neighbors’ yard through their open gate to hang out. Look out for deer droppings if you have rollers or pups who like “free samples”. I have both and just had to keep an eye on them to redirect. One of the rollers really earned her bath when we got home - haha. No big deal though, small price to pay for a fun adventure with my dogs on a beautiful day.

FAQ about our Sherwood dog parks

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Sherwood area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 114 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 34 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
