Imperia's Canine Connection 1+ Acre Private Dog Park The Spot: Over 1 acre of fully fenced (6' chain link) field area with a drive-through gate so your dogs can start running right out of the car. The surface is a packed sandy soil during the cold weather months and mowed natural vegetation during the warmer months. A walk around the interior fence line is about 1/4 mile so it's great for the active dog owner too. It's a close-in rural location right in Aurora just two miles east of I-225 from the Sixth Ave exit. While my field area is strictly for the dogs, there is a horse in a corral area next to the dog field. My neighbor has loose chickens on his property. Neither the horse nor the chickens are bothered by dogs. Dogs may bark out of curiosity and that's totally appropriate and ok, but they soon realize that with no reaction there is no need to bark. Sniffin' Hours are: 9:00 -5:30 every day except for Tuesday, which is field maintenance day, and my dogs do get kind of jealous if they can't use their own dog park.

I love this property! And DeeDee is kind and her communication is excellent. The property is so clean! There is even a trash can for poop bags and there is water. I foster dogs that need certain care and have tendencies to bolt. So she fenced in property helps them get good exercise and I can test their recall abilities. This is truly a lil slice of heaven and mini lil getaway from it all for dogs and humans alike to stretch our legs. Host is wonderful and thoughtful with toys for the dogs, and towels to clean up afterwards. The horses were a treat, and so sweet! Property is nicely kept up. As you can imagine, with horses there are poop around, but not terrible. Just a heads up if you have a poop eater dog. The fencing between yards are 3 wires so dogs can crawl under, so it's best if dog has semi-decent recall. It's a wonderful place and we can't wait to go back!

We had the BEST time here! Gorgeous views, especially as you drive to get there. We saw deer crossing the road on the way, it's a lovely drive. Once you arrive you can drive into the enclosed area, which is nice since dogs can just hop right out and back into the car without leashes. The space itself is truly perfect. Tons of room to walk around while your pup explores. The horses were definitely the biggest treat! They must be pretty used to dogs because our pups were super interested in them and they were totally chill. One of our dogs even got her snout a little into the pen and the horse sniffed her right back! Our dogs did not want to leave. At one point they even went to the front door of the house because they wanted to go inside and check out the bed situation. We had to break the news to them that we were only here to visit and not move in :p All together it was a lovely visit and we will definitely be back.

If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option.
