We may at times need to close one or the other due to standing water or maintenance, but there should always be one spot open. We are working to ensure all amenities of spot 1 are available. Spot 1 *fall/winter update* We are working to get the heavy mud under control, this may take a few weeks. Please bring boots and be prepared for dirty dogs. We have various levels of flooding during the winter; the spot has is anticipated to have mud and large puddles. At times we may need to close the spot due to excessive flooding (no dry land!). Please reach out if you have questions about how much water is in the spot. Keep in mind we also have increased migratory waterfowl in the pasture adjacent. 1 acre of flat field in a beautiful setting. One large tree in the corner. Fully fenced approx 4.5’ with predator fencing. We have motion lights that come on at night, not super bright but makes the spot visible during early night winters. Boarded by two, large pastures, a private road with limited use and our barn. Occasionally during the wet months flocks of geese/ducks may land in the wetlands adjacent. We have goats, turkeys, geese, ducks and chickens but they are on the other side of the property and should not be seen/heard. We have two dogs, Veles and Flora, that will be on the other side of the property or in the house. There is a covered bench and trash can in the spot, fresh water is also available. An outdoor bathroom is available for use, see map. When using the bathroom please keep your pup in your car as it is near our goats and free range chickens. Please note that this is NOT a manicured lawn space; it is a sloping meadow with uneven footing and heavy ground cover. You can explore a network of walking trails that wind through the perimeter forest, while your dogs romp in the meadow and zoom along the trails. There is no end to sniffing material in this 2-acre playground! Again, the terrain in this spot is uneven and sloping, with some steep areas on the trails and possible muddy areas. Sturdy shoes or boots are recommended. Those with mobility issues may have difficulty moving about in this spot. Additionally, we are located in a rural neighborhood and there are times when neighbors practice shooting. Please keep your dogs on a leash through the first field while we are working on improving the fencing and the area if recall is not good. ** This beautiful 2-acre spot is fully fenced - 4-5' high, gates 4' high. There are potentially 2 areas that you can use right next to each other (fenced in between). Please note that the first Pasture that you come to does have an area where dogs can potentially get through and back to the gravel road. It is right inside the first gate on your right in the forest area there. The great thing is we are not near any sort of busy road. One thing to note is that my neighbor on the adjoining property has friendly, smaller dogs, and they do bark from time to time. You really can't see them all that much as there is brush, sticker bushes, and trees in between our properties. That said, you may hear them from time to time. What I find that works in quieting them up is to just walk over and talk to them. We welcome dogs that have different anxieties as well as being dog reactive and people reactive. There have been many people here with their dogs who have done just fine. There is a spigot with fresh clean well water, next to the clawfoot tub inside second pasture. We also have a bowl there for your use. We have wood for you to purchase, should you desire a fire while there. There are plenty of chairs and benches for folks to sit on. My corgi and I love coming to this sniffspot. It's big, organized, clean, and quiet -- and there are lots of toys. She is reactive to other dogs, and this sniffspot is far enough away from distractions that she can relax and just play. There is a muddy area on the east side of the fenced in area. Mine stays out of it, but best to be aware. It's a lovely spot.

Absolutely stunning location, easy to find. I brought 4 dogs and they had a blast. There is a small area that is wet/muddy but I expected that especially during this time of year. A dirty dog is a happy dog 🤗 balls and other toys provided and poop bags too! Thank you!!!!!

We had a great time here!! Our pup loved playing fetch and sniffing around this sniffspot. Like the description states, you could see people walking on the bridge *very* far away - our dog didn’t even notice them. Fence was secure and we had a great time!!

We came with two dogs, and come to this spot more than any other. Room to run and lots to sniff. There is a collection of balls if you forgot yours, and a roll of bags and trash can for dog doo.

This was my second SniffSpot visit. It was easy to find, and parking was right beside it. There were toys, balls, bags, a bowl, and a trash can for waste available. My dog loved running, playing fetch, and bird-watching! She also enjoyed a few splashes in the water! Thanks for mentioning bringing towels! Also, thanks for sharing your wonderful space with us! My Aussie and I gad a great time running around the spot. We saw a cool gardner snake enjoyed the shade provided by the evergreen trees, the beautiful pastoral view. There were plenty of toys available, parking, and poo bags. It was clean and fun!

We have a German shepherd and a small mix breed dog. They both love this place. I know because when I pick them up they jump on Jenny and barely pay attention to me. The dogs have so much fun within the fenced area and Jenny sends beautiful pictures of their experience. Definitely a different experience than other boarding places we tried over the years. Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
