Hi...we are Ron & Shirley, seniors, retired n still farmin (kinda!) We breed Standardbred harness race horses & Rough Collies. We have 3 dogs currently at home, 2 senior retired & that is their spot as well! Our dogs will be in the house or on the deck while we have visiting 'sniffers'! Deck is mostly outta sight. The horses are not in same pasture, & should be no problem...you might not even see them, as with the few chickens cluckin around, which cluck mostly in our yard & catch grain from the horses dropping! When horses are grazing this area, the availablity for 'sniffers' will be blocked off. We do chain harrow field couple times year to spread & dry out any manure.. its fertilizer lol! It's usually very quiet, maybe the odd person out walking on the road, with or without their dog. There's very dense blackberry bushes all along roadside, so again, not very visible. This is a very safe spot, safe neighborhood. Neighbors on west side have a very friendly non-agressive dog, black Lab type. He is usually in the house, but if he is out (& we have no control over that) he is able to come to the fence line & sniff noses if allowed. We have put out a garbage can for poopies, just inside shed, plus table & chairs, chuck it & ball for your use if you'd like. Water in a milk jug. The entire acreage in now dog fenced so access to our yard is cut off...except for gate in top left. Our dogs use this space as well hence the 'get thru' gate.. for those ofvyou who would like to be completemy enclosed, I will put out a wire cover up you can hang on gate. I might not be home. There is a tenant at back of pasture (dogs cannot access his yard) so please don't block the driveway. He is usually at work weekdays but could be going in or out, just so you're aware...he's awesome, name is Leigh. Please let me know if there's anything else you'd like.
This is 40 undeveloped, private wooded acres less than 15 minutes from Bellingham and 10 minutes from Mount Baker Highway. There is a long unpaved road to wander on as you adventure deeper into the property. Trails to come, until then, explore as you wish. Enjoy nature’s agility course by wandering at your will. For Pack (more than 3) Pricing, message us for a bigger discount. In the wet season, there is mud at a few low spots on the back trail. Please consider wearing boots for now.
IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD Give your dog wide open space to run and play here on a large acreage right in town. Coming here will feel like you are in the country with the beauty of the mountains, a field to run in and a trail to hike in. *Please note that the acreage is a total of 86 acres including the crop areas. There is very little time that the crop area is restricted. When the pumpkins are grown, it is fun to walk up the rows and we welcome the pups to be in there, take photos etc. If you visit during planting, we ask the dogs stay out of that area as that can damage the crop. There is lots of space to run and walk/hike. The perimeter trail is approximately 3.5km. There is short grass, tall grass the dogs can go in and out all over the field in the front and middle of the property. As well as up the hill trail.
110 acres of hayfields and private forest land. NOT FENCED. dogs may be off leash as long as they remain under your control at all times. Please clean up after your dogs. RESPECT OUR NEIGHBORS! ***NOTE: Expect there to be mud in places on the roads and trails during this winter season. Please plan accordingly.

Step into our fully fenced in dog park nestled in a beautiful forest full of cedars, maples, and many many ferns. The dogs will be so mentally engaged jumping over logs, dodging through ferns and playing with sticks galore. There is a path worn in around the perimeter of the zone, but feel free to romp where ever you please if you dare! There are poop bags and a bucket for these at the front gate. There is water in a blue 5 gallon jug and a dog bowl. Please note- the road through the property to reach sniff spot is gravel!
***Charges are in USD*** The fenced area contains our home. We do not enter the spot during visits. We are excited to supply a safe space to exercise and train your dogs. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have! We have a small white bench in the yard, but please let me know if additional seating is needed. 🌲🌳🐕 We also have unfenced areas that are included in the booking. They feel quite secure as they are surrounded by bush which acts as a bit of a natural fence (less so now that it is fall). I do encourage all guests to explore the unfenced areas as well as they add so much more space and variety, even if it is just once and on a leash/long line. Off West Pole Road, there’s a little lane next to a DeWildes nursery field. Our front field has a hidden gate (see pictures!) that will let you into our fully fenced front field. The grass is field grass and a little more rough and uneven than a yard lawn, i.e. diggers welcome!!
