This sniffspot was wonderful! I have a senior golden who definitely goes at his own pace and he loved taking in the all the smells and roaming around. We will absolutely be back again!

Beautiful acreage with tons of scenic views. So much room for the pups to run around and a lot of variety in the spaces for them to explore. Janice was also extremely accommodating to our family’s needs which was very much appreciated. We will definitely be returning!

It's a lovely spot and really easy to get to. I loved sitting in the chairs and taking in a quiet moment. My teeny city slickers loved it too. Thanks for having us.

We very much enjoyed our first visit to this backyard paradise! Lots of space to get your zoomies out, plus a lovely little pond to dip your toes! A nice private place if uou want to some amateur or professional photos too! We like to do some training and play some games with the dogs so we expect to be repeat visitors!

Really easy to find - absolutely beautiful and picturesque property. My dog definitely went for a swim in the pond - he drank some of the water, but so far he's fine. I could hear some dogs barking in the distance - my dog is quite reactive but it wasn't an issue as they weren't too close by/not visible. Don't forget poop bags! :) This is such a beautiful spot - it was a lovely place to spend one of the first warm and sunny days of the season! A huge thank you to the hosts for offering their property.

We really enjoyed the space. Our dogs loved sniffing around the pond and in the trees. They also loved how much green space there was to run. We were mindful to keep the boys away from the driveway and we felt very comfortable that they couldn’t “escape”. Thanks for having us!

Easy instructions. Large, hilly backyard with trees and obstacles to muck around. My dog loved it! She even cooled off in the little pond a few times. It’s not huge and doesn’t replace a dog park, but it was perfect for our needs.

My pup and I loved this spot. Lots to sniff and a lovely walk through a trail amongst trees and then a wide open field that is ploughed down the middle to create a trail. It will be lovely to visit in the spring and summer when the leaves are out and the grass is green and more of the field will be accessible.

A great place to tire out your pup! Could hear some other dogs and birds but they seemed distant enough that it wasn’t a distraction. Can’t wait to come again, especially once it’s summertime!

My dog doesn't have good recall so I left him on his long lead. No one else was there at the time I went so he loved the freedom to run and roam.

Snowshoes we’re definitely helpful off the main path so we could make it to a little more of the field without getting too tired 😊 and saw some deer on the road up to the field. Thankfully our pup didn’t. It is always such a beautiful spot.

It was a nice walk. It was quite cold so we didn’t make it the full hour. It did the trick though - the pups were exhausted! Beautiful property & lovely host!

Great spot, lots of room to roam. Snowshoes would be an excellent idea if you want to try to walk the perimeter right now. Otherwise if you stay on the main path it’s easy just with boots. Pups enjoyed every minute!

A lovely place to go for a walk with your dogs! Janice, I just want to thank you for opening your home and allowing us to enjoy it. My dogs ran and ran (and sniffed and played) for an hour. They are happy, which makes me happy :) So thank you so very much. We will be back!

FAQ about our Edmonton dog parks

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Edmonton area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 13 fully fenced dog parks in the area. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
