CANINE CANYON Park - Fully Fenced in Central San Diego

Come visit our unique, peaceful yard in the canyon located in easy-to-access central San Diego, just up the hill from Snapdragon Stadium in Mission Valley. Dogs love to run up and down the dirt slope to chase balls and expend their energy. The slope leads to our flat, lower dirt yard which is perfect for your dogs to run free and get their zoomies on! The yard is fully-fenced in and secure around the entire perimeter with plenty of tennis balls to play fetch, toys, water bowls, and a cot if they need a rest. We also have a play structure and in-ground trampoline for the kids and young-at-heart. :) You will not encounter any other dogs on the other side of the fence as the yard is adjacent to the canyon on 2 sides and senior neighbors to the right who NEVER use their yard. This is a quiet neighborhood with plenty of street parking and private access through a side gate to our back yard. We hope you and your dogs will enjoy our space! 📣 Check out a news story on ABC News featuring our Sniffspot here: https://www.cbsnews.com/sanfrancisco/video/rent-a-yard-app-lets-indoor-dogs-run-free/ Add us on Instagram @Caninecanyonpark and Facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61553640911201&mibextid=kFxxJ

Welcome to your pup's private paradise! Our exclusive backyard dog park offers the ultimate retreat for your furry friend to play, romp, and socialize in a safe and controlled environment. With lush greenery, designated play areas, and secure fencing, your dog can enjoy off-leash freedom while you relax knowing they're in a secure space. Say goodbye to crowded public parks and hello to personalized playtime tailored just for your four-legged family member. Book your spot today and treat your pup to the luxury they deserve! 1. **Supervision is Key**: Always supervise your dog while they are in the backyard, especially if they are on the hill. Keep an eye on their behavior to ensure their safety and well-being at all times. 2. **No Food Sharing**: Avoid bringing food into the backyard to prevent potential conflicts or food-related incidents. This helps maintain a peaceful environment for you and your dog to enjoy. 3. **Report Hazards Immediately**: If you notice any hazards in the backyard, such as sharp objects, toxic plants, or holes in the fence, please report them immediately. Your prompt action helps ensure a safe environment for all. 4. **Mind the Gate**: Always ensure that the gate is securely closed behind you to prevent your dog from escaping and ensure their security within the enclosed space. 5. **Know Your Dog's Limits**: Understand your dog's abilities and limitations, especially when it comes to navigating the hill. Take extra caution if your dog is not accustomed to steep terrain or has any physical limitations. 6. **Clean Up After Your Dog**: Always clean up after your dog by promptly disposing of their waste. This helps keep the space clean and hygienic for your enjoyment. 7. **Provide Adequate Water**: Ensure there is always fresh water available for your dog, especially on hot days or during physical activity. Proper hydration is essential for their health and well-being. 8. **Protect Fruits and Vegetables**: Please refrain from allowing your dog to interact with the fruit and vegetable plants in the middle of the backyard. These plants require protection to thrive, and keeping dogs away helps preserve the garden for future enjoyment. Please apply the same rules to the compost bin. 9. **No Climbing for Owners, Dogs Allowed**: We kindly request that owners refrain from climbing the hill, but dogs are permitted if they are physically capable. This rule ensures safety for all while allowing dogs to enjoy the space to their fullest extent. The dogs all had a great time! They especially enjoyed the splash pad to stay cool. Daniela was very communicative and friendly. I will note for anyone with reactive dogs, neighbors dogs can be heard the entire time (at least while we were there), sometimes even howling. Great spot and thank you for sharing it with us!

Nice yard with green grass, large enough to play fetch with my 60lb dog and a little uphill to burn a bit more energy. Nice host that provided toys, treats, water bowl, and other thoughtful supplies! I went at dusk and there was sufficient lighting. Will be returning for more play sessions!

Perfect yard for a little dog. The little "creek" was fun for him to jump over and splash in. There was lots of grass and flowers for sniffing and several shady spots for resting. The owner very graciously brought out drinking water with frozen fruit ice cubes for the humans. We brought my 83 year old mom with us so she could watch the dog play and she thoroughly enjoyed herself.

Gracie and I had so much fun at Brittany's! The backyard was easily accessible and Gracie really enjoyed running circles in the grass as well as exploring behind the trees and bushes along the fence. There were plenty of chairs for seating as well as a table with umbrella. Brittany was a wonderful communicator and very helpful! Highly recommend!

Brittany is awesome and so is her SniffSpot! We had been to this spot before and love it. It’s lit at night, she has a table and chairs for folks, and there is plenty of water for the dog. I asked her if we could throw a birthday party for my dog at her spot and she said yes! We had 4 medium-large size dogs there and everyone had a great time!!

Brittany's place was perfect! It was clean and secure and nicely landscaped. It had both a green, grassy area and a patio with chairs for the humans. She provided fresh water and gave us good directions to her place. We will definitely go back!

FAQ about our San Diego dog parks

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
