Dog Heaven 3 Acre Fully Fenced Private Property

Fully Fenced
3 acres

2 people max per reservation. Additional guests can be added by purchasing the “Extra Guest Add-On” for each person. For directions, please take screenshots of the “photos for access” in case you lose reception in the area - in case people take off our Sniffspot logo signs. Plan to arrive 15 min before your scheduled visit to make sure you have time to find the spot, park, walk etc. We are home with our dogs so please don’t get too close to the big house to avoid our dogs from wanting to come out and play or any disturbances. Small house and basketball court ok to be around. Magical place for dogs and owners. The property is beautiful and interesting to explore and relax with benches throughout. Bring your own pic-nic and enjoy it in the secret garden. Or shoot some hoops in the basketball court. It’s an experience for both dog and owner. No more than 2 people per booking please. Come enjoy 3+ acres of fully fenced area! A true hidden gem with entrance from the awesome San Vincent public hike trail with access to free parking. A small creek with a tiny bit of water from the mountain passes through the property after a few days of rain. If plum trees have fruit feel free to pick some and enjoy! We have three dogs who will be kept indoors and out of sight during your visit. That said, if you’d like some canine company, two of them are happy to socialize. Wilson is our grumpy old male chihuahua mix (about 20 lbs) who may bark at first, then either ignore you or decide to play - it depends on his mood. The other is Ragnar, our 140-lb, 5-year-old Great Pyrenees who firmly believes he’s a giant baby. He loves everyone, drools freely, and will absolutely leave hair on you. Getting into the property is an adventure of its own, just follow the signs. 2 min walk from parking lot. Once you are here you can explore freely and take it all in :) Fun gopher holes they can put their nose in, but please stop your dog from digging! 😅 IMPORTANT: Public parking at entrance of hike trail and entrance to property is via hike trail. Please come prepared! We do not provide bags or trash cans (so please take your trash and dog’s poop with you) we do not provide water either. We tried and the water in the bowls did not stay fresh for long. Restrooms are not available. Note for reactive dogs: We completely understand how important safety is for reactive dogs, and many guests choose our space for that reason. That said, please note that the trail to get to our property is public and not something we can control. You may run into another dog or horse on the public trail. Additionally, at the corner of the western side, there is heavy fencing and dense bushes that act as an additional barrier, but a neighboring dog might be present. Our space itself is secure, fully fenced, and a safe environment. All just for you. No other animals inside the property unless you request a playdate with one of our dogs. We look forward to your visit!

Quiet garden sanctuary in the city.

Fully Fenced
1 acre

A lot of vegetation and places to sit down, meditate, read a book, study, or have a picnic. Your pup will love to run and play in our one-acre garden. Picking fruit or vegetable etc. is off the limit. Drinking water for animals is provided in various containers throughout the property. Please do not turn on or use any water equipment on our property - we had some serious problems in the past because of this. Please clean up after your dog’s “business” - smile. That’s a serious and mandatory request. Poop bags are available in the plastic box with the other dog gear, but please bring your own backup supply just in case and do not leave the poop bags behind. BROWN garbage can is in the front of the house by the street for your convenience. Thank you! Woof woof! 🌸 Note: in the rainy season we might not change the water for dogs because it’s senseless. Please arrive always with your own supply of water - rain or shine - and if it’s raining you might like to wear rain boots as well. Have fun!

Your Complete Guide to Dog Parks in San Francisco

Hiked all the way up to Corona Heights Dog Park only to find it's basically a dirt hillside with aggressive dogs and zero shade? Or tried Fort Funston on a foggy Saturday when it feels like half of San Francisco brought their off-leash dogs? SF dog owners are dealing with a lot. The public off-leash dog parks are either on hills that require mountaineering skills, totally exposed to wind and fog, or so packed you can't move. Plus parking costs more than your coffee, and that's saying something.

San Francisco's got plenty of public spots like Fort Funston, Corona Heights, Alamo Square, Duboce Park, and the fenced areas at Golden Gate Park, but here's what you're really getting: crowded fenced-in areas, steep terrain, microclimates that make planning impossible, and the usual codes and signs about vaccination requirements, collars and tags, and current tag information. Dog owners from the Marina to the Mission to Sunset are booking private Sniffspot yards instead. Fully fenced spaces on flat ground where your dog doesn't need to be part mountain goat. No dog bite incidents with tech bros' poorly socialized pandemic puppies, just secure fenced-in land you can actually rely on.

Why San Francisco Dog Owners Love Private Dog Parks

Public off-leash areas here come with asterisks. Your dog's recall is iffy? You need real fencing, not hoping they won't chase a squirrel down to Ocean Beach. It's 65 and foggy in July? Some dogs need sun and warmth, not Karl the Fog. Dog gets reactive around large dogs or stressed in chaotic play areas? Private bookings let them decompress without the Marina dog park social scene.

SF Sniffspot hosts understand city dog life. Properties with actual sun (rare and valuable), agility equipment for high-energy breeds, flat walking areas that don't require hiking boots. Nobody's checking if other dogs are spayed or neutered. No exposure to communicable diseases at overcrowded water stations. Training with food or treats? Possible without fifty distractions and someone's unleashed Aussie photobombing.

What Your San Francisco Dog Actually Needs

SF dogs need more than the typical off-leash dog parks situation. They need fully fenced yards on reasonably flat ground, not just access to hiking trails on 40-degree inclines. They need water fountains that work. They need consistent dog defecation cleanup with functional bag stations and waste stations, not overflowing trash cans at public play areas. And honestly? They need sun sometimes, which is harder to find than street parking.

Where to Find Dog Parks in San Francisco

Over 350 Sniffspots cover San Francisco and the Bay Area. Marina, Pacific Heights, Russian Hill, Nob Hill, Mission, Castro, Noe Valley, Bernal Heights, Potrero Hill, Dogpatch, Sunset, Richmond, Presidio Heights. Pro Tips for San Francisco Dog Park Visits

Check microclimates before booking because it could be 80 in the Mission and 55 and foggy in Sunset. Bring layers for yourself, water (even when it's cold, dogs need hydration), poop bags for waste stations. Morning bookings often have better weather before fog rolls in. Food or treats for training? Way more effective in private fenced-in land without distractions.

Here's why Sniffspot works: your time slot is exclusively yours. No off-leash dogs while their owners are taking calls from their startups. No navigating weird San Francisco dog park hierarchies. No driving around for 20 minutes looking for parking near walking areas. Just private space where your dog can run around on flat ground without you wondering if they're about to roll down a hill. Check out hundreds of SF options above and find your spot.
