Working on fixing the issue. There is a long, folding fence you can use to cover the gap if needed. 2. There is a long hose closer to the house that can be used to fill the baby pool and water bowls. It's long enough to drag over and use as needed! Just pull all the way up on the pipe handle to start the flow of water. 3. Dog treats replaced daily as needed - help yourself! 4. Quiet .7 Acre, Fully Fenced, Private Yard In Elgin

Our spot is on a large corner lot on a dead-end street in a quiet, secluded neighborhood. We have one nextdoor neighbor who has no pets, and we have large privacy trees between us. The yard is shaded with established trees, and roughly three quarters of an acre are fenced in with a ranch style wooden fence (the lowest rung is 6 inches above the ground, so our spot is not suitable for tiny dogs who might want to run underneath). The yard is not close to the road, but people occasionally walk by and are visible. We have lots of squirrels and chipmunks to chase. It's a great spot for reactive dogs who need to run or nap in a sun-dappled space and don't do well at a traditional social dog park. We have a large vegetable garden and do not use pesticides in the yard to protect our pollinator friends. Our cozy deck is available with comfortable seating, tables, and wifi. I work from home and am often around if you happen to need anything. We do have a rescued 7 year old pup on the premises, but he will stay inside and away from windows. Notice: We are closing the spot on May 23rd for maintenance. Sorry for the inconvenience. Grass and rain: Please keep in mind that during moderate to heavy rains the area without mulch can get muddy. Beginning May of 2024, we will post pictures daily to our Instagram account showing the condition of the spot. As you can imagine, due to the wear and tear the spot gets, it’s difficult to keep the grass alive. However, we do our best to reseed during the spring. BarkPark sits right across the street from The Salvation Army Freedom Center. This spot is fully fenced (chain link and wood) with the side facing the sidewalk being 5ft and the rest of the fence being 6ft. There is a dual-gate entrance to the spot for a safe entry and exit. Street parking is available. There is plenty of seating at this spot with shade throughout the day. There's a rain barrel filled with water for dogs to hydrate and cool down. We have water bowls available. GIANT sandbox that's great for digging and playing; no digging elsewhere please. On hot days, we do our best to keep the sand wet. Trash can onsite. We have poop bags available in two different areas for easy access. Half of this spot is covered with grass and the other half with playground mulch. This spot is big enough to get a good fetch session in or to just let the zoomies out. We also recently added agility equipment. We hope you and your four-legged friend/s have an exceptional time during your visit and choose to come back. Lost toys and items: Due to the amount of visits we get we aren’t able to track which items belong to which guest. If you’ve lost a dog toy or other item, please reach out and we’ll do our best to retrieve it and hold it for you. If you don’t reach out, we’ll hold onto it for a week and then add it to the Lost and Found Toy Box. Water: The dog drinking water gets changed 1-2 times per week, depending on the temperature/usage. During the winter months we empty the water barrel. If your dog/s require water during the winter months, we ask that you please bring your own. Food: You’re welcomed to bring food but we ask that you please clean up as a courtesy to other guests. Future additions: We hope to add more amenities over time. Our plans are to add more sand to the sandbox in late April or early May of 2024. We’re also hoping to have on-site parking around mid summer of 2024. If you have any suggestions for amenities, we’d love to hear your feedback.

Park Like Backyard Great for Fetch and Running Around

Our backyard is on a fenced in double lot with lots of room to run and play. Heavily wooded and backs up to a ravine. One thing to note: Our gate to the backyard opens up to our steps to the house (you can see this in the photos) and it can be trickier to navigate if you have a mobility aide. My wife and I work from home and either of us would be happy to assist in accessing the yard if needed. We have one camera mounted to the back of the house that does not see past the deck. This is to check on our pup, Maisie, when she roams the yard in between SniffSpots.
