First reviewer - guess I should be thorough!
The place is easy to find - just 6km north off Highway 16. Parking is past the two trailers, and through the second gate. It’s just a mown area of field.
There is mown path from the parking area running along the fence line but I would suggest walking in the grass beside it as it is extremely uneven ground.
The fence on the north and south sides is sheep fencing (?) - about 4 1/2’ tall with holes about 6”x10” but does have some spots where it is bent and the holes are bigger. There is one section that is missing and replaced with barb wire. The west fence is only barb wire.
There is a creek that runs along the far side (west) of the property that’s crossable near the fence line and in one or two other spots. Or at least it was when we were out since most water has dried up now. It’s less of a creek and more like two, long ponds connected by squishy ground.
The ground is uneven - like any pasture land is. We found the remains of a trailer in one spot and a second spot with old fencing and two aquariums but other than that, it was clean.
This spot would be best suited for:
- medium (Beagle) or bigger dogs
- high energy or adventurous dogs
- dogs with good recall
