55My maltipoo loved this big grassy area! No others dogs or people!
55It took us a few minutes to discern which part of the property was OK to let the dog roam in, and which might be neighbors' yards, but if you park near the cute house (not new builds) and look to the right of it, there is a gate that leads to a veg garden area within a huge fenced in field well behind the new houses. Our Springer Spaniel LOVED racing and snuffling everywhere. Note: small dogs and curious/crafty dogs, such as mine, can get out of the fenced area and into the driveway or the neighbor's fenced area. BUT the house and area is far back from the road, so there is plenty of space to call doggy back where you want him. Also, I think there are fenced areas within fenced areas..mine got on the "wrong side" of the fence from me (which seems to go behind and around the house as well as into the previously mentioned big field behind the new houses) but found her way back into the field with me. So the "partial" fence does have escape potential. But again, the property is huge, if your dog has a half decent recall you can definitely manage and give you doggy galloping snuffling joy!
55Loved the trails!
55Beautiful property! Love that the grass was cut, and my dog was able to zoom through every acre
55The dogs had an absolute blast! Beautiful and well maintained property. Easy parking.
55Heard about this property from a friend, and we loved it. Perfect for our 2 year old Great Dane. We booked for way longer than needed - didn't realize how quickly he would get tired! Lots of open space to run. No wooded trails, but walking along the woodline was very nice. The property was very maintained. Bring bug spray!!
45This was our first time using Sniffspot so of course I chose the biggest property I could find. lol so happy I did! The area is private and well defined once your there. My dog didn't notice that there were places unfenced. Lots of shade! I didn't notice a trashcan when leaving. But the FAQ reads: leave as you came. So I took poop bag with me, not quite a pleasant drive home. But next time I'll bring a ziploc bag to seal it better for drive home if necessary. Something to think about. It doesn't deter me from coming back though bc the property is so great and close. Thanks again!
35it’s hard to find. also, i had to leave early because after a few runs, my dog needed water and i couldn’t get the outside pump to work. other than that, it’s very spacious and clean with shade trees and bench to sit on.
55Im so glad I found this spot! I live in an apartment with two dogs and one of them is very reactive/aggressive with other dogs so it’s hard to find places to let her out for exercise. There is a part of the yard that is not fenced but it’s way up the hill my dogs didn’t even notice it. But they also have a fully fenced in garden in the middle if your worried about your dog wandering off. But as long as you’re watching your dogs it’s not an issue at all. I will definitely be revisiting this spot.
55Plenty of space for a pup to run and unleash their energy! We enjoyed walking around the field and playing some fetch. As the listing says, the area is only partially fenced and my dog could easily get underneath the fencing to escape. I wasn’t worried as he isn’t a runner and mostly thought it was fun to dart in and out, but a heads up for those whose dogs might flee to catch a smell!

Very quiet location. Hubby and i work from home and may occasionally come outside. We will be outside alot during the weekends as i need my kids away from their tablets and to enjoy some sunlight and fresh air and since they love dogs they may want to say hi to yours. Please feel free to let me know if you're not comfortable with that and it will be respected. See you soon! :)

Description

8ac farmhouse property with plenty of options for your dogs to roam around and play. There's plenty of grassy areas to pick from. Very private, quiet, and tucked away in the back away from the main road. We don't have any pets, so yours will be the only ones on the property, and we're rarely home. Feel free to use the triple fenced garden area before we start growing anything. There is new home construction up at the top of the hill they have their own short black fencing around the homes, so just stay beyond the fence. Water pump and doggie bowls available outside near the front right side of the home in front of the outhouse. Trashcans are available at the side of the house across from the shed near the trampoline. There's a basketball hoop and 🏀 if interested in playing as well as some swings for kids closer to the house. Feel free to use it. Lastly, please use Google Maps for navigation instead of Waze as it's the most updated one for finding the property. The way to operate the water pump is to pull the lever up and all the way back and wait a few seconds and the water will come out the hose. PS- if you're ever running late or got lost and some of your paid time is used up please feel free to stay a little longer to make up for it if no one else is booked immediately after you.

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

You may run into a few deer so be careful. We've only seen a fox one time in the winter.

Hi, Mel here! My husband, kids and I just moved back to MD from Nashville, TN. We currently work from home and have 2 young girls. We don't have any pets yet but working on it(6yr old wants a bunny badly lol). We are new at hosting on this site but since we have so much land we figured we share the wealth and let others enjoy it with their dogs as well. Please reach out with any questions or suggestions on how to make your visit the best experience ever. Have fun! 🙂

🚗 LOCATED IN SYKESVILLE, MD (Carroll County) 🚨Updates🚨 💩 We’ve noticed an increase in the amount of guests not picking up their dog’s poop. As a reminder, we require all guests to clean up before they leave. If you don’t want to clean up, we offer an extra called “Poop Patrol”, you can add this on to your visit and we will clean up for you. If we continue to have issues with poop not getting cleaned up, we will need to increase the price of our spot to compensate us for the additional time we have to spend cleaning up between visits. We don’t want to have to do this, so please be respectful and clean up the 💩 📍I believe the neighbors behind us got a new dog and they like to bark. Our fences do not touch, there is probably 10 feet of distance between our fences so there is no worries about fighting through the fence, but you may hear barking sometimes. They will eventually bring the dog in when the barking becomes too much 📍We laid some hay in and around the play area to help with the mud and protect the grass. 📍 We replaced the blue picnic table that was under the canopy with a couch and chair. We still have the pink picnic table with the umbrella. 🐕🦮🐕‍🦺 Bring 3 or more dogs? Message us for a discount prior to booking (let us know how many dogs in your message). ** The pool is not available to guests at this time. ** 🎉 Events / parties welcome 🎉 Large open, fenced-in backyard in a quiet neighborhood. There is lots of space for your dog(s) to run, and ample room to play fetch. There is plenty of outdoor seating to relax while you watch your dog(s) play and explore. The back right corner of the yard has a play area with a playhouse, caterpillar tunnel, tire tunnel, climbing cube, climbing dome, car bed, the biggest tire you’ve ever seen, and hammock. We also have a bunch of dog toys, including several herding balls of various sizes. Part of our yard is shady and part is sunny. You get the best of both worlds. The pool is completely fenced off from the rest off the yard. You don’t have to worry about your dog(s) accidentally falling in. Our yard is handicap accessible. There are no stairs to climb. The entrance to the backyard is a flat grassy area. The gate leading to the back yard is wide enough for a wheelchair or power chair. The yard has a slight incline, but there are no major obstacles that would prevent a wheelchair from moving around. We are located in Sykesville, MD which is about 30 mins from Baltimore and Columbia. 15 minutes from Owings Mills, Ellicott City, and Westminster.
