55We had such a wonderful time at Camp Thistledown. It was easy to find, and lots of room to roam and run around. The small buildings were the perfect backdrop to LOTS of photos, and there’s even a small water feature that my dog liked to run back to have a quick jump in. They also had a restroom for the humans! Definitely would recommend!

IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD 10 acres of fields and pastures, partially mowed with trails, sitting area and table, firepit with Adirondack chairs, pond (pretty mucky, but if you don’t mind a muddy dog be our guest).

Hazards

Property is 10 acres larger than what is accessible. These extra 10 acres are protected wildlife conservatoire (wetlands) and are difficult to navigate. Dogs could run into the thick brush and a human would have a hard time getting in the retrieve them.

Our field is fully fenced with 6' chain link fence, including a double gate to ensure that no dog can ever escape. Water is available for the dogs, and seating is available under our beautiful trees in the shade for you. As the fall starts to get colder and winter is upon us, we do plan to stay open for the winter. We plan to snowblow parts of the field so that there is a path when the snow gets super deep, and we’ll try to keep the area directly beside the barn clear for you. This is our plan… we’ll see how it works out in reality. :) If you have snowshoes, it may be a good idea to bring them some days depending on how much snowfall we’ll get. There is a bench around the tree on the far hill for you to sit on if you like. There are very few distractions here so it is a great space for play and/or training.
