We’ve got off-street parking, tables, chairs, poop bag stations, and indoor bathrooms to make your visit comfortable and convenient. Our sniff spot is located on the West side of the lot, and please remember: a reservation is required to use this space. You are welcome to access the bathrooms through the double gates. The restaurant itself is not accessible behind a locked gate. All garage doors will remain locked, as our other sniff spot areas will be available for rent separately. This is a quiet, secure space where dogs can run freely, sniff to their hearts’ content, and enjoy real outdoor enrichment without the stress of public dog parks. Many guests find it ideal for reactive dogs, shy dogs, high-energy dogs, or dogs that simply love having room to roam. The property includes a mix of open running areas and natural tree-lined spaces, giving dogs variety while owners enjoy mountain views, peaceful surroundings, and benches for resting. The entire area is fully fenced so you can relax while your dog explores. You’ll find poop bags and a trash bucket provided, and there is plenty of space to wander at your own pace. My own dogs are small dachshunds, so I pay attention to secure fencing and safe access for small dogs as well as large dogs. Ruff 'n Rugged's 40 acre dog park is perfect for high drive, high energy dogs. It has a neatly mowed area of approximately 2 acres, a mowed, well marked trail which is about 1/2 mile long, with the remainder of the area in native grasses and vegetation. On any visit you may see cottontail rabbits, jack rabbits, pronghorn antelope and other wildlife native to this area. The parking area is a good distance from the entrance so you can unload and load your dogs safely without having to worry about traffic. We have a great view of Pikes Peak, well away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Quiet, peaceful & relaxing. You will enjoy your visit just as much as your dogs.

Just a little yard behind a little house in the old colorado city/westside area. Quiet, private, clean, not yet fully landscaped - but working on it! Secure 6ft fence, locks securely once you are on the inside of the gate. Mostly wood chips and dirt in the yard and minimal gravel that is bordering the house. Area rug with umbrella-covered patio table and chairs. Electrical outlet available for laptops/phones, WiFi provided. Easy access, private space, quiet neighbors. Great for any dog at any hour of the day. Note: a bit harder for extremely high energy large dogs to run enough laps in the yard to become tired as the yard is not huge, but plenty of sniffs to go around and still a little room to throw a ball! Dogs ok on outdoor loveseat.

We are located in the far SW corner of PW, where we literally can see for miles. Our yard is mostly turf with a little bit of pea gravel & two gravel entry pathways. We have a sand beach for digging & dog friendly pet grass for munching as long as the weather holds out. We also have an on site poop disposal that empties directly into our septic system so no messy bags to deal with here!!! Plenty of parking in our cul-de-sac or along the side of our driveway near our Austrian Pines that provide some nice shade. Our gate is a double latching self closing 6’ gate. That gains you entry right from our driveway into our spacious backyard. We occasionally have deer & quail but that is the extend of our wildlife. We have an 8 year old female Greyhound & right now are fostering a 2 year female Greyhound too. They would remain in the house at all times but you could hear them whine upstairs while you are there because they would want to come out and play too.
