Description

Dee is a canine behavioralist & trainer, specializing in obedience, socialization, aggression, protection, & special needs training. Free professional behavior/training assessment/consultation included with first visit!!! Highly discounted training sessions available in addition to spot reservations. The property is almost completely fenced in. Only about 8ft between the rear of the house and front of the garage that is not permanently fenced in. A metal folding gate/pen system encloses that space completely if needed and includes a walk through door. Yard is very large and private - two picnic tables, covered concrete patio area with additional wicker seating & table. Running water, large tree provides natural shade for your fur babies during spring/summer as well as access to the shaded seating area next to the garage. Completely level grass yard includes large vegetable garden in the summer at the far end of the property. The very large several acres of woods behind the garden and separated from the yard by a chain link fence gives off a very serene, calming feeling. Over 6’ tall solid wood picket fencing between house & extra large corner parking lot owned by homeowner for trailer/container storage. Other side of the property as well as across the back of the yard has 4+ft chain link fence. Portable 4’ x 4’ square/rectangular/multi shape dog pen available for use, as well as a 50ft dog run cable, and halti harness.

Small breed dogs & small puppies (under 15-20lbs) should be supervised at all times early morning and mid-late afternoon due to various birds of prey that live in CT and wild cat species (bobcat/lynx) that there have been reported sightings of within a 10+ mile radius.

Bath: Short Hair (30-60lbs)50 credits

Price depends on hair type & dog size. Medicated baths available for additional fee. All baths include a high quality hypoallergenic shampoo. This shampoo helps with dry skin, general itchiness, & shedding. Dogs that will tolerate a dryer will be blowdried by hand while safely leashed. No dog will ever be put in a kennel to be dried using a “mounted” dryer. De-Shedding available for additional fee. Fee based on dog size and condition of hair at the time.

General Training Session25 credits

Training Sessions can take place with or without you present for the duration. For very fast and effective results, anyone interacting with the dog regularly should be present for the first 1-2 sessions minimum. Training relies on consistency & routine. Each session involves the owner(s) learning to clearly communicate with almost any dog!

Puppy Potty 10125 credits

Puppy Potty 101 is one of the most popular training sessions requested. You are taught how to get your dog to ring bells on a door to let you know when they would like to go outside. Most pup parents have their fur babies ringing the bells in less than 12hrs!!!

Additional rules

Please use provided ash trays for any cigarette butts, garbage cans for any trash, please put hose back next to house if used (although an extra large bowl filled with fresh water will be set up near seating area prior to each reservation. The bowl is pre-filled with filtered/bottled water unless you request otherwise.) but bathing your dog is welcome, outdoor faucet with extra long hose is provided. Grooming, clipping, deshedding, ear cleaning, physical/nutrition/behavior consults always free on first visit, training, playtime with another dog, exposure desensitization to other animals, dogs, children, etc available (all animals & kids are highly experienced in the interaction and desensitization of all breeds and sizes of dogs. Pet sitting is available as well. Sanitized toys/balls/etc are always available to guests. All toys are fit for medium-large breed puppies up to giant tug of war rope/ball & monster kong for the largest breeds (200+lbs). Frozen teething toys for puppies are always available as well.

FYI- The pool is now closed and expected to reopen Memorial Day weekend. Fully fenced, secure and private acre of doggy heaven located on a cul de sac. Large grass yard, mulch, and wooded area on each side of the yard will keep your dog busy sniffing and exploring. The ground is cleared in the wooded areas for fun running and walks. Large blue stone shaded patio that backs up to woods. The large in ground pool is uncovered and ready to swim for an additional charge (see below”Extras”). The fencing between the yard and pool is not 100% secure, just keep an eye on your pups. All people and pets will be inside during your visit for privacy. There are poop bags, a bowl of water and a basket of toys for you and your pup if you wish. Whether you want to sit in the shade or play in the sun, there are multiple seating areas. Driveway and Street parking with easy access to the spot.
