15In the middle of our time there, a man opened the sliding door to the deck and another dog came running out growling. I just happened to be sitting on the steps and was able to block my dogs from running up on the deck and the other dog from running down into the yard. There aren't supposed be any other dogs in the same space while we are there. We left immediately after this and we will NOT return
25Look, I’m not here to malign anyone. I tied to support him in my last review. He did get my dogs a dish, but the backyard hose still didn’t work. He even went to the front to fill the bowl. Right in front of me. Fine. But I also had to refill from the front hose. I couldn’t get the damn old rusted nozzle off of the back hose. I tried. He then sends me a video of the hose in the back with the nozzle removed. Awesome. But no, that is NOT what I had access to when there. This guy is now a liar. Also a problem here is that damn gate. Thank GOD of the two of my boys that got out, they have good recall. My other boy will run and get hit by a car. It’s too bad I have to recant my prior review. He lies. The gate isn’t secure. I won’t be back. This guy lies.
55This guy is just the best. So responsive and sweet, the yard is perfect and fence is secure. Exactly as pictured. Reviews mentioning barking dogs in the neighborhood written by others who are dog owners kinda make no sense to me. I own three, so maybe I’m a bit more tolerant, but that seems a bit nit picky. I also didn’t hear any. Also, the gate. It’s fine. You have to maneuver it a bit. I had no problem. That’s life. Figure it out. He’s not charging much. My three loved this spot. And I have three large dogs, all over 70 pounds. I didn’t see the hose, and he was even going to have his sister bring me water. We face timed about the gate, etc. This is a very responsible human with a great yard.
45Nice grassy spot, my dog was very happy and enjoyed herself there. Just a few notes for first time visitors- there is a lot of barking in the neighborhood, which may be distressing for a dog reactive dog. It also sounded as if there was barking coming from inside the house (I could be wrong) but it sounded very close. There is also a neighbor with a dog who let their dog out who immediately ran to the fence between the two yards and started barking. There is no visibility of other dogs though, just sound close by, so consider this if you have a dog who is triggered by barking! My dog is dog reactive and thankfully was able to ignore the barking but I was startled by it, apparently more than she was. Also, the gate is a bit difficult to open and close properly. I was not able to secure it all the way closed. It was not a problem for us but could be a problem for any escape artists. Overall, nice spot though!
55Overall good but a few things to be aware of! The positives are the gate is clearly marked, the yard is exactly as described, and there was a chair in the shade to sit in! Things to consider: 1) the gate was really difficult to open and shut all the way (you have to really force it) and if it didn’t click all the way a dog could easily push through it. I was able to get it to close after a minute, just something worth noting! 2) there were several spots along the fence line where it looks like a dog might’ve been digging. they aren’t big enough for my 40 pound dog to slide through, but she kept sticking her head into them so something to consider for smaller dogs also, and I do not fault the host for this at all, I got bit by 6 mosquitos in my hour here😭 I’m super prone to them though but just mentioning it for anyone else like me!
55Perfect space for my 2 dogs. Full fenced and secure. I highly recommend and for sure will return!
55I brought my dog so he could run and around and sniff since he doesn’t do well with other dogs. He loved ever minute of it. We brought some toys and water and he played and chased some squirrels in the yard having a blast!! Passed out as soon as we got home.
55My dogs had a great time
55Nice big back yard
55Nice time at this Sniffspot! Big enough for our two dogs to roam around comfortably and explore. Safe and secure with no risk of dogs getting out. My dog surely tried because he was chasing a bunny! The host followed up afterwards to see how we enjoyed it.

Come and play in Sammy’s Playground. There’s lots to do. With the entire 0.5-acre backyard fully enclosed by a new and secure chain-link fence (Fall 2022), your pups are free to roam, sniff, fetch and run to their hearts’ delight. And, wow… you are surely going to love watching them go!! Zoom-Zoom. The areas along the perimeter are wooded and make for fun pathways for explorations. The central portion of the yard is sloped and open. This makes for plenty of romping and heavy-duty running- including long throws of a ball or a frisbee. We have a tennis ball thrower. Check out all of the photos and read the accompanying descriptions to get a better idea of how Sammy’s Playground will appeal to you and your furry friends!! And don’t worry about the yard (too much). There’s divots and mounds all around, no manicured lawns when dogs are at play. Go for it guys… Enjoy!! And, the pool cover is elephant and dog proof. The dogs are allowed on the pool cover. It’s our hope that we do our absolute best to provide our Guests with the best experience each time they come over AND that our Guests remain as great as each have been - that we can continue to avoid any reason to raise our hourly rate. SniffSpot suggests we list Sammy’s Playground at $20/hour. We are uncomfortable with doing this, because it goes against the spirit of our objective for Sammy’s Playground in the first place: providing a safe and secure environment for dogs of all kinds to enjoy off-leash “true-dog” experiences with their loving humans. Barking IS allowed. We do welcome donations of dog food, p-pads and medications for the all-dog rescue organization, PAWS New England. PawsNewEngland.com for information about fostering, donating, adopting or other ways to support this amazing group. They save over 1,000 dogs per year. ——- NOTE: to open the gate, simply reach over the top to find the key. Twist/turn the key until it stops. Then, lift the knob on top of the gate and push the gate open… you’re in! The gate automatically closes behind you. Please confirm that it has engaged into the closed position and then turn the key to lock yourself in. DO NOT REMOVE THE KEY. Confirm that you have locked yourself in by seeing the little red dot and not being able to lift the knob. The photos section includes views of the gate, key and lock. MUST: when you leave, lock the gate. Doubly ensure that you have done so by lifting the knob. NOTE: As an “Extra” listed benefit, you may park your vehicle in an area away from the main gate and take advantage of a leisurely stroll down the very-well-kept sidewalks of Park Street and adjoining neighborhoods. We list this as an Extra simply so that we know why we have a car in the driveway, but no humans and dogs in the yard. Selecting this Extra just gives us the heads up. This might be a good way to burn off that last little bit of doggy energy or for some leash training while you’re here. This is time AFTER your booked time of using Sammy’s Playground (not a part of it). We just don’t want you to run off without taking advantage of all the resources available to you for your dog(s).
