55What a great hike today with my three dogs! They absolutely love it in the forest! All the trails are perfectly groomed and the owner is very responsive answers right away if you have a question! The fence is very secure absolutely no worries! It’s nice to walk and not worry about anything at all! You can follow the fence all the way around and in the middle is a sitting area to relax with your doggies! Have a picnic and drink your hot chocolate dogs will still run around you sniff and are safe! Just love it! Small dogs are fine in there just near the gate you would want to leash as you are going out! It’s still a distance from the street!
55Beautiful place - my dogs enjoyed it. Great host!
55Awesome hike as always and trails were groomed and easy to walk. Many thanks!
55Our first snowy visit. All the trails are groomed so getting around is easy. The dogs love this place without snow, so imagine how much they enjoyed it blanketed in a few feet of it. Another great visit, we can’t wait to go back.
55Had a wonderful hike with my pup today! I was very impressed with how well the trails were groomed! We didn't sink into the snow at all. Always love taking my dog here!
55Ramon’s Sniffspot is absolutely excellent! We had an amazing time. The host is accommodating, very responsive, and takes such great care and efforts to keep his property safe and well-maintained. The driveway is ploughed and the trails are taken care off and very walkable. Very large property and beautiful forest to walk through. The fencing is completely secure all around the sniffspot and very high. One of the best and most well-maintained Sniffspots I’ve ever visited, you can see the care and effort that goes into maintaining such a large property, excellent signage as well. Thanks so much!!
55Malcolm LOVES coming here! Wonderful forest pathway for him to run to his hearts content. He enjoys winter hiking and I enjoy that the trees block the wind!! When we dog sit for friends dogs, I often bring them here because I feel very comfortable with the security of the fence and gate. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property Ramon!
55Beautiful spot! I will be a regular here :)
55This sniff spot is phenomenal. Trails were clear and our 2 dogs had such a great time exploring. It was quiet and clean and the fencing was very secure. We will be returning for sure!
55Fantastic sniffspot, my dogs have a blast and it is very well maintained. Can't wait to visit again!

Where there is a 6 foot tall fence so that dogs are secure even in the winter with a few feet of snow on the ground. I just recently set this up as family friends recommended I try it, so please be patient as I improve things to make it more guest friendly. Hope your four legged friends enjoy it as much as my dogs do.

Hazards

Poison Ivy is present certain times of the year. I do cut it back when I am doing trail maintenance. Dead trees and branches can fall at any time, but it's more likely after a storm. If I notice a hazardous tree or branch, I mark that area with pylons and signs. Old farm equipment and materials are kept in a certain area, but is not dangerous

IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD Hello and thanks for visiting our page. We are Paula and John. We own 95 acres of mostly forested land. About 65 acres is walkable and we have trails throughout. We are learning as we go, and hope to provide you and your dogs a fun day. If you have any question feel free to ask. And remember, we love dogs just as much as you do. There are a few important points we'd like you to consider. We like to meet our new guests for the first time. This gives us a chance to get to know you better and also put friendly faces to us, the hosts. We want you to feel welcome and know that we care about your dogs. We have several trails that split out to other trails. There will be signs to help you navigate through them, and some suggestions that will help you keep track of remaining time. In the colder months, running water will not be provided. We will also reserve the right to cancel the appointment if we get heavy snow squalls. Our plan is to keep the trails plowed, but in the event of a snow storm, it may take us a few days to get the trails plowed. In general, we will not be open past dusk, unless you specifically ask us and are aware of the risks of walking in the dark. I always walk my dogs on winter nights. Just carry some sort of flashlight. We currently have an electric gate that can only be opened by us at the gate, and not remotely. When a guest arrives, we will be there to open the gate for you, close it once you're in, and open it again upon your departure. Lastly a note about safety. Safety is important to us, but please note that you are entering nature. Our spot is home to many small animals, including porcupines. If your dogs are into porcupines, I would stay cautious of your pets entering the dense bush and recommend they stick to the trails instead. The probability of spotting a porcupine though is very low. Other animals will simply not bother human visitors and their dog companions. You may spot a deer or two if you're lucky that day. Deer are mostly friendly, but I would suggest keeping your distance if you spot a buck. However, they typically flee when they spot you. In all my years spotting buck, I've never seen one charge at anyone. Still, be safe. Although very rare, you many spot a coyote. Once again, they generally don't bother humans. If you spot one, keep your dogs close. Coyotes don't like confrontations with humans, so your dogs will be safe if by your side.
