55Pasture experience was fantastic - everything was frozen so mud wasn't an issue, lots of things to sniff and plenty of room to run. Like other posters mentioned, gunshots were frequent and there was a person with their dog walking with gravel road when leaving (we were already in the car, but our reactive dog freaked out anyway). Overall though I'd go back!Rachel B.

55The field was wonderful for our dogs with so much space to run free!
Everything was frozen over, but not slippery at all with good shoes and with the grass poking through the ice. Our pups actually had a blast learning how to run across the frozen over water and chase after treats and ice pieces we would slide out for them; great confidence building!
Some stray bones, I'm assuming from wildlife having eaten something in the field, but they were old and our dogs didn't bother with them at all!
Our Google maps took us directly to the entrance gate and it was clearly marked with a clearing to the side for parking. Securely fenced, even for our little dog, though there was maybe a spot or two she could have squeezed through if she really wanted, but we had 0 issues.
We will be booking again in the future!S B.

55Our pup loved stretching his leg, getting muddy and just being a dog. The entrance to the spot was well-marked and easy to get to. The host was very communicative and sent additional detailed instructions on identifying the space if needed. We will definitely be back.Madison S.

55The dogs loved all the space and it’s very convenient to have different pastures to explore or close off. As expected from the description and previous reviews, it was muddy (which the dogs loved) and there was some cow poop and left over bones (which the dogs also loved). We did see a person and dog walking by, but you can easily close off the pasture that would allow dogs to rush the fence if needed. We had a great time and will definitely be back!Rachel M.

55HUGE space with gates as an option to break up the space. Some areas were very muddy or wet, so be prepared to wear boots and clothes that might get sloshed on (from your pup). There was a water trough in the first field area, granted my dog kept drinking out of the puddles smh. There is a little creek/stream that flows through! Varying levels of the pasture’s grass/greenery. Your dog will get dirty, so bring spare water and a towel to rinse off their muddy paws and belly. I live in the city and never have had such a grand space to have my dog off leash (we use long line anytime in public parks) and know she is secured!!!! We will be back and worth the hour and a half drive. If you come from Seattle or south really, I recommend adding a 15-30 minute buffer time in your commute. I had a 20 minute detour which went into our booking time, but thankfully Laura could accommodate pushing back our reservation time to get maximum value!!! KJ S.

55This is a beautiful spot. Really huge open spaces for your dogs to run as far and as fast as they can.
Bring boots and towels for sure- the first part of the pastures is very wet and muddy. Once you get through to the higher part it is dry.
It was incredibly quiet and private. We heard a dog barking but it was obviously very far away and we never saw a person or dog the whole time.
It looked to be a working pasture and so a few bones were around here and there. But the dogs weren't interested.... they were having too much fun chasing each other.Danielle W.

55Great Sniffspot!! Our dog had a blast! He ran his legs off. Love being able to stay in one fenced area, or use the gate into the next. It was very easy to find and well signed.
Some muddy areas, but not a big deal at all. Definitely wear welly boots and bring some towels to wipe muddy paws afterwards.
I think this is our new favourite spot! Excellent!!! Alison T.

55Lots of room to run! We explored all 3 fields, and Clay had a great time!
Be aware that this was likely an active pasture relatively recently, so you will run into some poo (a note if you happen to have a poo eater), and boots are certainly a must this time of year!
Overall it was just what we needed to explore someplace new that offered plenty of running room for the husky. Katy B.

55This is by far the most fun my dog has had a sniffspot yet! SO much room to run and sniff and lots of mud and puddles to jump in. It was easy to find and we will definitely be coming back soon! There were quite a few bones and piles of manure, not a problem for us, but if your dog is a bit cheeky maybe something to consider. Clara N.

FAQ about our Mount Vernon dog water parks
Are dog water parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. If you are worried about whether you can have an enjoyable water experience, just know that it is possible to have peace of mind when visiting dog waterparks by following basic safety guidelines. Some great ways to stay safe around water with your dog include learning canine CPR and keep an eye on your dog at all times to ensure they are not distressed. You can learn more about safety around water here.

How do I know if a dog water park works for my dog?
Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing and distractions, to find a dog park that works for your dog. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our fully fenced dog water parks. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog water parks where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. Make sure to review the amenities of the spot to see what kind of water features are offered to make sure it works for your dog. If your dog is not a strong swimmer, then perhaps choose a dog water park with tamer water features rather than a river or beach, for instance. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions, and of course, checking water park hours.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot water park?
We require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Additionally, we recommend following our water safety guidelines.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot water park at the same time as me?
