22 forested acres with private trails and an open field area located in the power line clearing. Includes private land access to state forest trails with views. Once you park you will see the trail entrance into the forest in front of you. Take the trail down to the creek. Water levels in the creek vary depending on the time of year. Cross the creek using the foot bridge and head through the forest. In about .3 miles you will come out into the powering line clearing. Feel free to explore everything in front of you and to the left (north). There are several wide open grass spaces in the power line to play fetch or just let the dogs run and be dogs. I will send you detailed instructions for the hike up the mountain upon request. This is a real hike and I recommend hiking attire. Please bring water for yourself and your dogs. The hike is about 3.5 miles and 800 feet of elevation gain. I recommend booking at least 2 hours to complete. If you want to hang out and enjoy the views you may want to book more than 2 hours.

This beautiful 2-acre spot is fully fenced - 4-5' high, gates 4' high. There are potentially 2 areas that you can use right next to each other (fenced in between). Please note however, that the first Pasture that you come to does have an area where dogs can potentially get through and back to the gravel road. It is right inside the first gate on your right in the forest area there. The great thing is we are not near any sort of busy road. One thing to note is that my neighbor on the adjoining property has friendly, smaller dogs, and they do bark from time to time. You really can't see them all that much as there is brush, sticker bushes, and trees in between our properties. That said, you may hear them from time to time. What I find that works in quieting them up is to just walk over and talk to them. We welcome dogs that have different anxieties as well as being dog reactive and people reactive. There have been many people here with their dogs who have done just fine. There is a spigot with fresh clean well water, next to the clawfoot tub inside second pasture. We also have a bowl there for your use. We have wood for you to purchase, should you desire a fire while there. There are plenty of chairs and benches for folks to sit on. It’s always been very safe for off leash woodland adventures...because it feels like you have it all to yourself. You begin down at the lower pond by the castle and rock wall, Following a laidback walk in the shade up to the upper pond, woods and off leash park. There is bug spray along the trail in case you forget to use some and want it. Please respect other visitors and make sure to put your doggie bags in the provided trash bins, and PLEASE do not put your doggie bags in the fire pit!!!

Our property is shy of 12 acres, 9+ acres of which we're sharing as a private off leash dog space or Sniffspot. The entrance is over the bridge where the creek is and 'From Creek to Back of Property' is all yours to explore. You may unleash your doggies right after the bridge and chain the gate if you want. Dogs might run down the creek for a splash or drink. Continue on to our family campground, there are picnic tables you could use. Then, up the hill you go to 'hike up the mini forest', free to roam around, listen to the birds, squirrels and other critters and sounds that nature brings you. You'll find seating areas while your dogs are at play, feel free to use them. Enjoy a picnic with your loved ones if you're up for it on one of the cabin porches or covered / uncovered picnic tables. The back of property behind fence is DNR land, so rest assured you’re on your own private little world with your furry buddies. The mini forest has some large walking paths and smaller trails scattered about, also some open meadows and is at a peaceful wooded setting. This is where I go to unwind and relieve my head of stress and worries. We have added a new Sniffspot pasture located on your right as you come up the driveway. It is not totally secured with full fencing so escape artist dogs should not use this pasture, but it is larger and more level than our original pasture.

This field is only 30 mins north of Seattle, very close to I-5 and 405. It is relatively flat and a lot of fun for dogs to run and sniff. Wide-open space for running, digging and has quite a bit of shade to one side—a lot of space for retrieving balls or to walk around and sniff. The fencing is very secure and 8 feet tall. There is a power line over head. Given the current COVID-19 situation: please bring your own toys, water bowl, and chairs. Trees surround the pasture giving a secluded area away from roads or sight of other properties. This is country living with all the country smells to sniff. Lots of room to run and play. Room for multiple dogs and families to enjoy their pets, yet private with no other dogs here when you are enjoying time with your pet. Have a great time. New: afternoon sunshade wall, will add extra chairs, and a large 100 gallon water tub for your dogs to cool or play. Long and short grass for your dog to romp. Plenty of critters for your dogs to chase. Mole, voles, gophers. You might see an occasional deer. Enjoy the open, quiet atmosphere. Reminder:: there is a blue mailbox next to the gate by the fenced area. There are some supplies in there, like poop bags, hand sanitizer and other. The wind blows so bad it unrolls the little bags when I have them out. I will get another lid for the waste container.

22+ acre property with 20 acres that is fully/securely fenced. The front half is an open field & orchard, the back is forested and has maintained trails throughout. There's covered seating in the field & woods, portapotty, drinking water station, yard hose etc - see amenities for more details. There are seasonal streams, ponds in the woods this time of year. Foot bridges and woodchips keep the main trails in good shape for walking but there are muddy areas so expect a wet, dirty dog - waterproof traction foot/bootwear recommended. Reservations are available up to 30 days in advance. Some days fill fast but plans can change & bookings get modified/canceled (2+hrs beforehand) - check back for an opening if interested. Thank you for being considerate of our space by reading and abiding by SS and spot specific rules and asking all who accompany you to do the same. We have plenty of parking, our setting is very private above large homestead acreage quiet farmland fields of the Schwarzmiller River Valley, Barkley Park is just 3 miles from old town Lake Stevens. To enter the fenced Sniffspot follow the red reflectors up the grassy lawn hill past the large livestock gate that’s at the top, go around the top corner there is a people sized gate. Easy to find, easy to enter our fenced Sniffspot. Easy latch for coming, and going. If you choose to be adventurous you may choose to visit the forest area behind the fenced area. It’s a steep hill up with natural woodland ground, lots of ferns, beautiful nature untouched. Old trails exist, we have not cleared them in recent years, feel free to explore them if you would like to just know, they are not maintained and certain times of year there is brush and ferns. We have running water with a hose for your convenience at our pump house. You may occasionally see myself, my husband or my elderly mother by the house, and patio, working on the property and gardens, area around our home. We live above farms that takes care of their fields so you may hear mowing in the distance in the valley we set above. Please do not pick, or disturb the fruit on the trees. Please keep children, and all guests off the fence line, and do not step on the gates or fencing. Shut the gates when coming, and going. Please leash your dog/dogs upon arrival until you become aware of the setting. Your reservation must include the correct number of dogs in your visit that is stated in your reservation time. Correct or update this if need be before you start your visit at Barkley Park. We are happy to share our safe quiet countryside with pups and their people. We do not meet our Sniffspot guests, with that being said, feel free to send us a text or ask if you need help with anything. Enjoy! We do offer pet boarding in our home for select clients. Everything our pup enjoys in life, is available to your pet, including a big pillow bed in the heart of our home.

SUMMER 2024 UPDATE: The "pond" in the pasture is now just mud or dried mud depending on recent weather. Dogs may still get dirty but no "swimming" to be had. Still good to bring a towel. WATER/HOSE -- We have a hose available for use * upon request * we must be home to turn the water on, please message us if you would like the water turned on and we will do our best to accommodate. -------- Two adjacent and connected pasture fenced yards totaling almost one acre including mixed long grass/dirt/wild flowers, beautiful old trees and sloped terrain above and below. No known hazards aside from hilly terrain and some blackberry brambles (we are diligently fighting them). In rainy months Nov-April there is a shallow pond/wetland (bring a towel). Fencing is all new 5' agricultural fencing secure for dogs of all sizes. Enjoy the serene space with a creek just beyond the fencing. Many songbirds too! Upper pasture features a playset with slides and swings. Two benches for sitting. Maybe not suitable for very tiny dogs due to eagles/ hawks. Private!!! Closed toed shoes recommended as well as mosquito repellent in summer especially at dawn and dusk. Hose may be available with advanced notice. Private driveway can be hard to find (follow instructions in welcome message). *** Construction may be occurring on site as we are remodeling. (PM with questions). There are a few seniors visiting with mobility issues which is taken into consideration when there is poop left behind. You can always message me and let me know a general area and I can try to run out and pick it up between the next visit. There are some small gaps in the fence, so this is a great spot for large and medium sized dogs. Not a spot recommended for small dogs or severely reactive. Please keep dogs leashed until it is your time slot and are in the designated area and keep in mind you may pass another dog owner with their dog on a leash leaving or entering the spot. IF YOU CAN NOT CONTROL YOUR DOG ON A LEASH WHEN PASSING ANOTHER DOG PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS SPOT. Lots of seniors visit this spot and they may need some extra time to walk to their cars.
