45The river was amazing and the cleared area was awesome. Was a little disappointed when we only walked in about 1/2 km and that was it, we couldn’t go any further. The ad states 70acres but we didn’t have access to use 70 acres. Like I said the river is amazing and will definitely return in the summer for the dogs to play in the river for the whole hour.
55When driving in be careful with the speed pump. The trail was nice, lots of garbage bins for poop bags. It was little muddy in few spots so I recommend to wear rubber boots. There is few spots where you can sit and enjoy the nature when you’re dog runs around. Definitely be coming back.
55A beautiful walk with lots of spots for the dogs to frolic in the water. Host is thoughtful with lots of spots to sit, throw away your dog poop, and left some bug spray and toys. Be careful of the speed bump coming into the property. I have a car and it bottomed on the way in and out.
55My Doodle loved splashing in the river. Was well marked and very nice. Will go back 👍
55This is a really lovely spot, with both a spacious field and a wide trail that winds into the woods next to a pretty creek. Lots of signage throughout, as well as waste bins.
55Such a gorgeous spot! Absolutely stunning with the river flowing through it, and the path is very well maintained and groomed. Bins for poop bags are all along the trail, as well as some awesome spots to sit and take in the views. The trail itself takes 10-15 minutes to reach the end at a leisurely pace. Tack on more time to stop and sniff (or sit and relax if you're human). It was a bit chilly out for splashing too much in the river, but it is perfectly shallow with lots of entry points. One thing to note is that the chickens were around where we parked our car. Most scattered, though some hung around and looked at us. Our dog wasn't interested in them when she knew there was adventuring to do, but you may need to walk your dog near them for a moment. Absolutely loved our experience, and we will definitely be back to splash around in the river. Thank you for hosting - it's clear a lot of time, energy, and consideration has been put into this Sniffspot.
55Our pups had a great time exploring the trails and splashing around in the river. The trails were well marked and well maintained. Our dogs really enjoyed the shallow water at the end of the trail and spent the majority of our visit romping around while we enjoyed the Muskoka chairs. We were a little unsure how our reactive pup would react to the chickens roaming around. She was definitely excited to see them but it did not create any challenges and they kept their distance. Thank you for sharing your amazing property with us! We look forward to returning soon.
55Amazing beautiful place
55This spot is an absolute gem! I can vouch for this as a great spot for reactive dogs. You may see wandering chickens or livestock from a distance as you arrive and depart - very manageable for us but worth mentioning in case this would not be manageable for your pup. But once you’re onto the trail itself, it is isolated and gorgeous. Such a beautiful place for a decompression walk. For what it’s worth, my dog loves to run into bushes and grasses and we didn’t encounter any of the burrs other folks mentioned - maybe just lucky, but all the same. Some spots are muddy, but with appropriate footwear, totally manageable. Highly recommend a visit!
55This is a great property and the host Kyle pulls out all the stops for his guests. Throughout the trail there is lots of seating, poop bags and even bug spray. Very thoughtful, a fantastic property and Kyle was very easy to communicate with. We will definitely make the 1 hour trek to visit again!

Hello, I'm Kyle. In 2020, I embarked on a journey to become more self-sufficient by starting a hobby farm on my 100-acre property. As a dog lover, I wanted to share this beautiful space with others who appreciate the outdoors as much as I do. That's why I started hosting a Sniffspot, to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for dogs to explore and play.

IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD Hello and thanks for visiting our page. We are Paula and John. We own 95 acres of mostly forested land. About 65 acres is walkable and we have trails throughout. We are learning as we go, and hope to provide you and your dogs a fun day. If you have any question feel free to ask. And remember, we love dogs just as much as you do. There are a few important points we'd like you to consider. We like to meet our new guests for the first time. This gives us a chance to get to know you better and also put friendly faces to us, the hosts. We want you to feel welcome and know that we care about your dogs. We have several trails that split out to other trails. There will be signs to help you navigate through them, and some suggestions that will help you keep track of remaining time. In the colder months, running water will not be provided. We will also reserve the right to cancel the appointment if we get heavy snow squalls. Our plan is to keep the trails plowed, but in the event of a snow storm, it may take us a few days to get the trails plowed. In general, we will not be open past dusk, unless you specifically ask us and are aware of the risks of walking in the dark. I always walk my dogs on winter nights. Just carry some sort of flashlight. We currently have an electric gate that can only be opened by us at the gate, and not remotely. When a guest arrives, we will be there to open the gate for you, close it once you're in, and open it again upon your departure. Lastly a note about safety. Safety is important to us, but please note that you are entering nature. Our spot is home to many small animals, including porcupines. If your dogs are into porcupines, I would stay cautious of your pets entering the dense bush and recommend they stick to the trails instead. The probability of spotting a porcupine though is very low. Other animals will simply not bother human visitors and their dog companions. You may spot a deer or two if you're lucky that day. Deer are mostly friendly, but I would suggest keeping your distance if you spot a buck. However, they typically flee when they spot you. In all my years spotting buck, I've never seen one charge at anyone. Still, be safe. Although very rare, you many spot a coyote. Once again, they generally don't bother humans. If you spot one, keep your dogs close. Coyotes don't like confrontations with humans, so your dogs will be safe if by your side.
