Fencing details: 5' wire fence around the yard. The raised deck has 3' cable railing and connects to the fence. Very small dogs (chihuahua-sized) could probably squeeze through the deck railing if they really wanted to.

Description

Welcome to Fun in Freeville: Fenced Yard Edition! Our property includes a 2,500 sq. ft. fully fenced-in yard, a larger open field, and a 5-acre trail. The yard includes deck access and seating. There is a large umbrella for shade and rain in the summer. The ground in the yard is pretty flat and mostly grass. The open space in the back is also grass with some trees and bushes. It can get a little muddy during very wet times of the year but there is a hose and towels available. There is a kiddy pool in the yard for your pup to cool down in the summer. We have a small fire pit in the yard if you want to start a fire in cooler weather. There's also a large fire pit on the trail with bench seating and a picnic table. Bring your binoculars if you enjoy birding. We have lots of hummingbirds in the summer and have seen barred owls on the trail. Typical wildlife seen around the area includes squirrels, rabbits, chipmunks, groundhogs, turkeys, deer, and mosquitos. Ticks are rare in the fenced area but more common outside the yard. The yard is pretty flat, while the trail out back has some uneven terrain, and mud/water depending on the season.

Hi, we're Natasha, Joshua, and Avalanche! Avalanche is our deaf 6-year-old bull terrier. She loves people and does therapy dog visits with Cornell Companions. We know how challenging it can be to live life with a reactive dog and we wanted to make our space available to others working through similar challenges or who just want to enjoy the outdoors with their pup. We love hiking, foraging, swimming and enjoying nature.

Come enjoy the quintessential backyard paradise for your furbaby in an almost 1-acre fenced sniffspot! There is comfortable seating for you while your dog explores, sniffs, and zooms around the yard. Plenty of room to play fetch/frisbee for any rambunctious pups! For our water-loving pups there is a kiddy pool for them to play and cool off in (warm months only). Bowl with fresh water (bowl only in winter months) and complimentary treats available on the back patio. If you have any issues booking our spot (available time slots or number of dogs) please reach out via message so I can accommodate you as best I can! 😁
