55wore waterproof shoes and had the best time. my dogs and i enjoyed running around and the beautiful scenery. we booked an extra 30 mins to sit and dry off. and then i had them sit on towels for the drive and everyone was pretty clean and dry by the time we got home.
55This was just what my dog needed! He ran his energy off for and hour. The place was clean, had poop bags and toys. We will be back!
55Great spot but should definitely wear boots and long pants even if staying in only the cut section. My dog is very nervous around others I love the opportunity for him to be able to smell that other dogs have been there and get more used to those scents!
55My dogs had such fun this morning romping around the farm! Great place for sniffs and chases and ball play. They got the exercise they had been needing!
45Nice spot! It was my pups first Sniffspot adventure.
55Lovely sniff spot! We enjoyed our time there.
55Exactly what we needed on a hot day. Lots of cool grass, a shade tree and excellent sniffing opportunities. So much room to play, practice recalls and do parkour. Our Lab puppy loved it.
45This is definition of Sniff! I did not listen to multiple times it stated shoe wear, I just wore tennis shoes.. which were fine but feet do get wet. I know my Sadie Girl enjoyed it, she got to enjoy some of it off leash as we are still building that trust and bond. It was nice and quiet for my fearful girl!
55Our pup loved running around and we enjoyed the space
55The prefect spot for our scent oriented dogs! They got all the sniffs in. Even though it was warm it was still a bit marshy, as they told us. They had a great time and we all relaxed a bit under the great Weeping Willow on this hot day. We all loved it.

Fencing

Enclosure

Partially Fenced

Fencing details: There is a section near our entry gate that is not fenced; the steep incline there acts as somewhat of a natural barrier for preventing dogs from exiting the property, however, a determined canine could still get out if motivated to do so.

Location

Kent, Washington

Description

Partially fenced open space with barn, silo, fruit trees. Tall grass, brush, blackberry bushes, and swampy wetlands create a natural border to our property where there isn't a fence. A small section near the driveway is not fenced. Parking available by the barn/silo. Please note that the ENTIRE property is available for your dogs to play, run and sniff. There are two residences on the property (our blue-gray house and a large, detached pale yellow garage with MIL); the yard extends southward all the way around both buildings on the Eastside. Feel free to roam and explore! **NOTE: There is an overhead photo of our property in the photos section of our SS profile that can help you see the boundaries, find the hose, toys, poop bags, etc. **

Cleanliness

96% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

** We are frequently visited by groups of Canada geese throughout the year. As a result, there will be goose droppings on our property. ** There is plenty of uneven ground, blackberry bushes, and stinging nettles (in season). The lower (eastern) part of our property can be quite wet and swampy 9 months out of the year, so plan your footwear accordingly--we recommend rain boots or hiking boots and a towel for your dog(s). Our tenant has a handicapped dog, which will not be outside unless there is an emergency. You may hear our neighbors' dogs barking from a distance in their fenced yards. We also have honeybee brood boxes on the northern edge of our property. **We no longer have chickens; their former yard is still on property and closed off from dogs entering.**

We bought this beautiful, peaceful property in 2017 and would like to share it with pups and their owners. We currently do not have any dogs of our own, but are canine friendly :-)

Hello and welcome to our Sniffspot! We hope you enjoy your time here. Just a reminder to please pick up the toys and water bowls that you use when here and place them in the 'used/dirty bin'. This ensures a clean space for the pups that visit after you. Thanks! It's a large, open one acre pasture with plenty of room to run and play. Tall fir trees, our home and other single family homes surround the property. There are neighbors who walk their dogs or play with their dogs in their yards. There are no shared fence-lines but we are noting this in case your dog might be reactive or sensitive to seeing and hearing other dogs and people. There are also chickens nearby - see note below. Double gated entrance for security. Park along the fence on the gravel drive. Plenty of room for your pup to enjoy the zoomies! A few things below to note, thank you! *🎾💦 For the toys and water bowls, we have labeled bins for 'clean' and 'dirty/used'. Please utilize items from the clean containers and then place in used/dirty so we can thoroughly clean them. There are cleaning materials in case you would like to sanitize or self-clean bowls or toys. Thank you! * 🥾The terrain of the pasture does have some dips, bunny holes and there is a section of mown grass, as well as a portion of longer pasture grass, and sticks from the fir trees. Wearing solid and/or waterproof shoes will help you navigate the land. *💦 There is a water jug and spigot with hose in the pasture to use for drinking water. If you use the spigot, please be sure to turn it off. There are small plastic pools available for warm days. You are welcome to use a pool, but please empty it after use and return it to the fenceline area. *💡we have 4 sets of string lights on our fence, two small solar spotlights on the fence, and one large spotlight on the far power pole (motion sensor). It adds some brightness to the pasture for evening visitors. Note that since it is an acre lot, there is a portion of the pasture that is still quite dark once the sun is fully set. *🐓 There are two hens and one rooster on a neighboring fence line and the gate to their henhouse yard has a sign (don't let the chickens out, no matter what they say), as well as a secure gate latch plus bungee cord. They will stay on the far side of their yard, and hide under the shrub/tree cover so are usually not be visible from the Sniffspot pasture, but wanted to share in case this is bothersome to some pup guests. Our rooster, as well as neighborhood roosters, are regularly heard. *please note: due to the burn ban, wildland fires and the dryness of our land, we ask for no smoking on the property at this time, thank you
