25There were a lot of burrs in the yard that I had to pick out of my dog’s paws afterwards. The fence, by the entrance, also has a gap that was big enough for my pup to get through. There was also poop in the yard when we got there.
55Lovely clean space with lots of seating options, thank you!
55Natalia’s yard was perfect for our puppy - lots of seating options for us and some thoughtful touches like bottled water and doggy poop bags available. We would definitely book here again!
55Nice, clean space and lots of comfy spots to sit in while dogs sniff around. Will come again!
55This is a nice flat yard with plenty of room to run and sniff. Thanks for having us.
55Such a lovely backyard with ample seating options in or out of the sun. My dog had plenty of area to sniff and roll around! Will absolutely come back.
55Great experience! highly recommend— our pup had the best time playing here!
55We loved this spot. Very clean backyard and fully fenced. My dogs had a great time. We will definitely visit again 😁
55Absolutely charming spot, we will absolutely be back! Thank you so much!
55Absolutely our favorite sniff spot!! We had such a great time. Beautiful yard, good secure fence. It was perfect! We plan on coming back as soon as dates are available. Thank you!!

Description

Large fully fenced yard available for your pups! You can park on the left side of the driveway, or on the street (there is plenty of free street parking), then go around the left side of the house, lift the latch and enter the space. Human items: There is a hammock that you are welcome to use, along with other outdoor furniture. (There are a number of different seating areas) I’ve put out water bottles and hand sanitizer, and the WiFi info is posted. Doggy items: There are baggies and dog bowls for water/food. The bins for garbage, recycle and compost, are on the left side of the house. (You’ll see them as you come around the side of the house, as you walk-in) Also, I just got a new hose for water. You’ll find it on the other side of the shed. Enjoy! 🐶 🐩 🐕

I'm originally from the San Francisco Bay Area and have spent the past 13 years in Los Angeles. I've recently moved to Portland and I love it here! My passions are art, music, film and connecting with other creatives. I love introducing my friends and guests to this cool city and especially my neighborhood!

As many reviews will confirm, this is a beautiful park area. Signage to guide you for easy access in and out. Upper and lower parking areas for multiple cars. Porta Potty for humans. large mowed areas to throw a ball of Frisbee. Large pond with an easy in and out slope into the water for young and senior pups. A small Jon boat with paddle for a pup water tour of the pond. A selection of different size life Jackets for pups and humans. A bulletin board with a sample display of a Blue Green Algae test kit that can be purchased on Amazon’s. An area next to it where guests who do the tests can post the day, time and results for other pup owners to see. An array of pup towels to dry off with and a drying line. A Muddy Paw Spa wash station b4 they get back in the car, multiple large shaded sitting areas. A 10’x 10’ sand filled dig box for the pups who just have a need to dig. A “Tug of War”spring loaded grab bar for pups who like a good tug of war. Multiple pup fresh water dispensers, with bowls for them. Multiple Doggie Poop Depots with poop bag dispensers so for your convenience, no need to carry that around while you explore the 15 acres. ( Fair Warning.. very low tolerance for a guest who does not pick up after their pup) Two wooded trails areas that we have just begun to develop for the wild side areas to explore. A Large professional Obstacle Course with most of the obstacles course pieces seen on U-Tube. Toy stations with a large variety of toys to select from (Please be considerate for the next guest, return them back to the station after use). Porta Potty for humans was hand sanitizer, lime dispenser to process waste and illuminate odor. Two Frisbee Gulf course areas under development. Bring your own disks to play while you pup sniffs,…or rent a back pac of putters, mid range and long range disks from us. Chair and fire pit areas, with a selection of firewood bundles that can be purchased. And more to come at Tail Waggers, (the Disney Land for pups.)

Nature in the City Private Dog Park

Nature in the City is a unique Private Dog Park that is 1 1/2 acres of beautiful natural land with varied landscapes. Step out of the city and into our natural setting that features different areas including 2 grassy fields perfect for fetch w/discs, ropes, or toys, (balls are not best here due to all of the surrounding bushes), a couple of forested areas, several nature trails for hiking adventures, a wetland-like area with a healthy little creek that’s a hit with the pups. They can wade, cool off, and drink from the natural water. Your dogs will have so many different sniffing and secure off-leash exploring opportunities here! Our spot is so much more than just a fenced field! The area is diverse and so much fun for your dog(s)! This is a great spot to work on recall. There are a couple areas on the trails that are a little steep, there’s a trail where you have to walk over logs 🪵, and the little creek has to be stepped over in places, so people with limited mobility may have issues in these areas of the spot. There are plenty of spaces and trails that are suitable for all abilities. If you’re looking for a basic fenced field to play chuck-it then this probably isn’t your spot. We are continually working on our property, so every time you visit you will see improvements! We provide a rain/sun shelter with 4 foldable chairs (message us in advance if you need more chairs and we’ll put them out for you), and lots of supplies including dog toys & balls, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, wipes, hand towels, first aid kit, and a cornhole yard game. Located outside are 2 zero-gravity reclining chairs, a kids size picnic table, and fresh drinking water for your pups. There are open areas with sun ☀️, and there is shade all day due to many large trees. Our property is fully secure with 5 to 6 ft fencing. We walk the fence line regularly and check to make sure it’s secure. We are located close-in on the Westside of Vancouver one mile from I-5 on 78th Street in West Hazel Dell near Felida. *It gets muddy in areas when it has been wet/raining outside. We have recently put down wood chips along trails and in muddy areas which help a lot! Come prepared so you enjoy your visit. **We recently added 6 solar flood lights in the main field area for those of you who visit after dark. They provide subtle light at the entryway, main field, and the shelter for about 4-5 hrs after it gets dark outside. If you you want to explore the trails after dark we recommend putting a collar light on your dog(s), and that you bring headlamps and flashlights 🔦. ***We recently added a small bridge over the middle section of the creek! We will be adding another bridge over the west end of the creek soon! We look forward to hosting you and your pups! 🐶 Thank you!
