55The spot was ready for us upon arrival. There were plenty of toys to play with and tons of sniffs for my three scent-driven dogs. The fence was secure and high enough that I didn’t worry about escapees. It was very private from neighbors’ homes. There are cattle visible in a farm’s pasture, which my reactive puppy took issue with. But they were so far away and so disinterested in us, he was easily redirected. There was plenty of water for them. My dogs were exhausted when we got home after an hour’s visit. I’d definitely visit again.
55Absolutely wonderful. Giant areas full of smells! Dogs loved it!
55This was my first time at a Sniff-spot so I don’t know what to expect. I was thrilled with the fantastic selection of toys available. There’s a clean water bowl with fresh water (and refill water if needed). My dog has fear aggression so it’s hard to get her ample exercise without inevitably running into other dogs and there being an issue/her remaining highly anxious. She was so happy just to romp around freely. Bonus; there were human snacks too. The detailed directions were spot-on. We’ll be coming back.
55Great space with plenty of sticks and balls to keep my girl busy!
55Perfect spot for a fussy dog! Lots of things to sniff. The host provided picnic tables and treats and toys. Next time I plan to bring my son. This is definitely a family friendly spot that we'll be coming back to.
55Meghan has thought of everything! There are tons of tough toys, dog (and human!) snacks, paper towels, hand sanitizer, poop bags, water and bowls, picnic tables, an elevated dog bed...so much stuff! I was blown away at how much was offered! We'll be frequent visitors, for sure. The location is also primo! The views of the surrounding pastures is absolutely lovely. No other dogs in sight -- you have the place to yourself. It's a secret little hideaway.
35Out in the country, a very nice setting. Directions were great. I did expect a bigger fenced in area because of the price but it was adequate. My biggest problem was gunshots, after the 4th very loud gunshot we had to leave because my older dog was trembling and visibly upset, she couldn’t get in the car fast enough. I know this is something that this Sniffspot owner has no control over but just be aware of this during hunting season. We had to leave 10 mins early 😢
55Lots of toys and secure fence. Some chocolates for me, too! Thanks again
55Beautiful spot. Super clean and the host had clean water and treats for us ! 😁 My kid and pup both approve of the spot. Highly recommend. Loved walking in the pasture too
55My high energy dog had a blast at Canine Lifestyle Farm Play & Sniff! During our stay we tried the food enrichment and agility add ons. The look of pure excitement upon entering was worth the 1hr and 30 minute drive. She immediately knew where the treats were and took off through the enclosed space. We used this area more than the open pasture. At the end of our time she didn’t want to leave. Sophie and I will definitely be back!

Description

Come visit us on our 9 acre farm, surrounded by farmland with no view of roads, dogs, or passersby! Large fully fenced play field perfect for chuck-it, frisbee, or just hanging out. Seating, shade, and raised beds available so you and your pup can take a breather. Check the extras for pools and agility equipment! One large former horse pasture surrounded by split-rail fencing for dogs who are on leash (or reliable off-leash) to sniff, hike and play in. PLEASE NOTE: Our Spot does not have good lighting. We will be adding some solar lights soon, but in the meantime be aware of when the sun sets before you make an evening appointment. THANKS TO YOUR SUPPORT over the last few months, we've just purchased a propane fire pit we'll be adding to the spot! Next on the list: Adirondack chairs for around the fire, flooring for a new play area inside the barn (NOT AVAILABLE YET), and fencing in the large pasture. 🥰

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

There are black raspberry vines growing in the fence. Watch out for thorns! But feel free to pick some when they are in season. The big pasture only has split rail fencing, so only bring in dogs who are on leash or reliable off leash with cows and horses in view! This area also has some holes, a wood pile, a brush pile, and some broken fence planks. It's a big unused field. Watch your step!! There are small slopes into the yards that can get slippery, especially when muddy. A few times a year we hear target practice gun shots from neighboring farms (not hunting). If they bother your dog let us know and we'll send you a coupon for a "redo". The barn play yard is securely fenced, and is where most Sniffers spend their time. Please let me know if you see any other hazards and I will deal with them promptly!

🚗 LOCATED IN SYKESVILLE, MD (Carroll County) 🚨Updates🚨 💩 We’ve noticed an increase in the amount of guests not picking up their dog’s poop. As a reminder, we require all guests to clean up before they leave. If you don’t want to clean up, we offer an extra called “Poop Patrol”, you can add this on to your visit and we will clean up for you. If we continue to have issues with poop not getting cleaned up, we will need to increase the price of our spot to compensate us for the additional time we have to spend cleaning up between visits. We don’t want to have to do this, so please be respectful and clean up the 💩 📍I believe the neighbors behind us got a new dog and they like to bark. Our fences do not touch, there is probably 10 feet of distance between our fences so there is no worries about fighting through the fence, but you may hear barking sometimes. They will eventually bring the dog in when the barking becomes too much 📍We laid some hay in and around the play area to help with the mud and protect the grass. 📍 We replaced the blue picnic table that was under the canopy with a couch and chair. We still have the pink picnic table with the umbrella. 🐕🦮🐕‍🦺 Bring 3 or more dogs? Message us for a discount prior to booking (let us know how many dogs in your message). ** The pool is not available to guests at this time. ** 🎉 Events / parties welcome 🎉 Large open, fenced-in backyard in a quiet neighborhood. There is lots of space for your dog(s) to run, and ample room to play fetch. There is plenty of outdoor seating to relax while you watch your dog(s) play and explore. The back right corner of the yard has a play area with a playhouse, caterpillar tunnel, tire tunnel, climbing cube, climbing dome, car bed, the biggest tire you’ve ever seen, and hammock. We also have a bunch of dog toys, including several herding balls of various sizes. Part of our yard is shady and part is sunny. You get the best of both worlds. The pool is completely fenced off from the rest off the yard. You don’t have to worry about your dog(s) accidentally falling in. Our yard is handicap accessible. There are no stairs to climb. The entrance to the backyard is a flat grassy area. The gate leading to the back yard is wide enough for a wheelchair or power chair. The yard has a slight incline, but there are no major obstacles that would prevent a wheelchair from moving around. We are located in Sykesville, MD which is about 30 mins from Baltimore and Columbia. 15 minutes from Owings Mills, Ellicott City, and Westminster.
