55Fun area with a stream and areas to hike and run around. Be prepared for a little mud if it’s rainy out, but the dogs loved it!! Your own little park right off a main road, easily accessible .
55So much natural enrichment for my boy! Lots of little hidey spots and nooks to explore; perfect for my cat-in-a-dog-suit greyhound :) We'll be back! (Note: it is indeed super muddy right now--I almost bit it a couple times--but that was all part of the experience, and my dog was in heaven, haha)
55The dogs had the best time. There is a mix of things to do and explore and the set up with toys and everything is so convenient!
55Best sniffspot we have been to! We will definitely return.
55My dogs loved running around on the trails!
55Fun little spot for my dog and his friend to chase each other. The short trails and woodsy parts were nice. My dog is terrified of water but learned that he loved to hop over the stream.
55We love visiting this spot! The boys have such a blast with the creek and variable terrain. These two are too ornery for off leash hiking so it’s such a pleasure to watch them have a similar experience in a secure area. Max is an escape artist and the fence is impenetrable so I can relax. We’ll certainly be back!
55For pet parents, if your pup isn’t much of a stepping through water kind of dog. You may need to pick them up when you cross through the MINI creek crossing.
55Great spot! Lots of exploring done by the pups.
55Amazing layout and the area, especially by the creek, is perfect🙌🏻my dog's had the best time EVER. Clean space, with everything we needed, and today's weather was perfect, such a beautiful day. We will definitely be coming again!!! Thank you so much for offering your property for us to enjoy 🤗❤️🐕‍🦺

This is generally a quiet neighborhood, although we are located on a busier street. Sometimes people walk by, but can’t really see inside the property, unless you are walking along the fence line next to the street. You may see a neighbor on a rare occasion if you explore the far backside of the property along the fence. Family members may come and go during your visit, but this is in a separate fenced area and they will be aware of your privacy.

Description

Nature in the City is a unique Private Dog Park that is 1 1/2 acres of beautiful natural land with varied landscapes. Step out of the city and into our natural setting that features different areas including 2 grassy fields perfect for fetch w/discs, ropes, or toys, (balls are not best here due to all of the surrounding bushes), a couple of forested areas, a tall grassy wetland-like area, several nature trails for hiking adventures where your dog(s) can explore, run & feel free, and a healthy little creek that’s a hit with the pups. They can wade, cool off, and drink from the natural water. Your dogs will have so many different sniffing and secure off-leash exploring opportunities here! Our spot is so much more than just a fenced field! The area is diverse and so much fun for your dog(s)! This is a great spot to work on recall. There are a couple areas on the trails that are a little steep, there’s a trail where you have to walk on logs 🪵, and the little creek has to be stepped over, so people with limited mobility may have issues in these areas of the spot. There are plenty of spaces and trails that are suitable for all abilities. If you’re looking for a basic fenced field to play chuck-it then this probably isn’t your spot. We are continually working on our property, so every time you visit it will have more open space, more trails, and the blackberry bushes will be trimmed back. We provide a rain/sun shelter with 4 foldable chairs and lots of supplies including dog toys & balls, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, wipes, hand towels, first aid kit, and a cornhole yard game. Located outside are 2 zero-gravity reclining chairs, a kids size picnic table, and fresh drinking water for your pups. There are open areas with sun ☀️, and there is shade all day due to many large trees. Our property is fully secure with 5 to 6 ft fencing. We walk the fence line regularly and check to make sure it’s secure. We are located close-in on the Westside of Vancouver one mile from I-5 on 78th Street in West Hazel Dell near Felida. *It gets muddy in areas when it has been wet/raining outside. Come prepared so you enjoy your visit. **We just added 6 solar flood lights in the main field area for those of you who need to visit after dark. They light up the entryway, main field, and the shelter. Thank you!

Cleanliness

99% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

We don’t use any chemicals to protect our land, our healthy little creek, and all of the beautiful birds, bunnies, deer, and other critters and humans who live in and visit our spot. So, we have blackberry bushes throughout the property. They grow fast! We will continually cut them back and are committed to working on them regularly. There are little Gardener snakes present that hide and are rarely seen. **A couple of Yellow Jacket 🐝 nests were discovered late September/early October. We treated the nests immediately and have not seen anymore Yellow Jackets. The Yellow Jacket nests were taken care of on 10/8/24 and on 10/11/24. There shouldn’t be any future issues. (A few guests had reported a bee/yellow jacket ground nest inside the lower middle grassy area of our Sniffspot near the creek, and they were stung from disturbing the nest). PLEASE let us know if you see any Yellow Jackets during your booking so we can address any potential new nests.
