55Our most favorite spot! We have been waiting since March to be able to come back, our dogs love it as it gives them plenty of space to run without stopping, and a few puddles to splash through. We can always guarantee that after spending some time here they will be pooped for the next few days.
55A water dogs dream! My senior dog couldn’t have been happier with the water spots.. tons of space for the dogs to sniff and get a full sprint! Both dogs got a bath afterward- don’t underestimate the mud! It would be great for the adjoining gates to have Sniffspot signs on them for added assurance, I wasn’t 100 percent sure that we were looking at the right gates and didn’t want to go through just incase we ended up in the same field as livestock. Overall an amazing spot, we will absolutely be back!
55Lots of great space and room to explore! Easy to find and we'll marked.
55Directions to the site were clear and there is a sign on the gate so you know which one to go through. Huge pastures to run and sniff along with a pond to wade in made this a great day for one blue merle Border Collie! Boots a necessity and your dog will probably get muddy but that's the fun part of being a dog. Ground is uneven but that wasn't a problem for us and we found some nice dry spots to play frisbee. We both enjoyed our time there and plan to return.
55The pack had so much fun :)
55Beautiful pasture
55My dog loves this place!!! Wide open fields to run, water to splash around in, and so many good smells. Boots are a must after the rain.
15It was really muddy at that time so be aware on what shoes to bring and your dog will be full of mud. Hard to walk on. Summer time would be best.
55Absolutely amazing place to let the dogs run. Definitely wear boots! It can get pretty muddy but my dogs have a blast so it's totally worth it.
55What a wonderful Sniffspot! So much room to explore! The fields get muddy after rain so be sure to bring boots along, and a towel for the pup. My dog had a blast!

Usually there would be no livestock. However, right now, in early November, 2024, the grass is still growing (no frost yet!). I have cattle and sheep still grazing on a pasture northwest of the SniffSpot. I will change this description when I take them home for the winter.

Description

Available Oct 31-March31, these are seasonally available pastures, grazed during the warmer months. 15+ fully fenced grassy acres, including a pond. Acreage is divided into 3 areas, with gates open or closed to limit or expand running space. Higher areas are drier, puddles in the lower spots. Pastures are vacant through the winter months. Parking is along a private gravel dead-end road. There is a SniffSpot sign on the double green gate. There are occasional dog-walkers along the road, but otherwise the spot is private.

Cleanliness

93% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

I have added drainage to the pastures, so there are now some narrow drainage trenches. There are bones, sticks and chunks of wood scattered about that my dogs have left. Your dogs are welcome to take them home, if they decide to possess one, or just settle down to chew.
