In home training; I come to you. I've practiced in puppy training, basic commands, reactive dogs, service dog training, ESA training using positive reinforcement training utilizing conditioned and unconditioned reinforcers. I utilize treat training specifically keeping in mind calorie count based on dog weight, I worked in the veterinary industry for many years and am skilled in proper feeding by breed and weight. I have additional certification in training reactive and aggressive dogs. I can help you and your dog learn basic commands such as sit, stay, come, leave it, down, shake, fetch and many more. I can also help you fix common canine behavioral problems, such as: inappropriate elimination/potty training, separation anxiety, barking, chewing,j umping, nipping, digging, humping, chasing, begging, consuming feces (Coprophagia - the leading spread of bacteria and parasites among dogs).
Behavioral issue focus:
Things that I've encountered and overcome in my time working with people and animals are: digging, coprophagia (eating poo), barking, pulling, loose leash walking, defecating in home/potty training, recall, front door manners and so much more.
Dog training methods:
Consultations are free of charge via zoom where we can discuss and see if we are good fit. My training plan is generally 9 to 11 weeks with six training sessions breaking in between for at home practice with you and your dog. At the consultation, we will discuss core issues and current practices and at the first session I will explain how I've designed the training program based on those issues.
Why I became a dog trainer:
I love dogs and want dogs and people to live in happy symbiosis. My motto is "everything is fixable" meaning you might not be able to train every dog out of every behavior but it's up to us human parents to adjust our thinking habits to build our dogs up to being confident, brave and successful.
My favorite part of being a dog trainer:
I love seeing dogs being successful and happy and seeing their human parents more relaxed and able to really understand the language of their canine companion.
My #1 dog training tip:
Consistency.
