I am a graduate and Certified Training Partner of the Karen Pryor Academy and have been training professionally since 2017. During my training journey, I have had the opportunity to help with training every day skills like loose leash walking, as well as service dog work, and puppy raising- lots, and lots of puppy raising! I teach group classes and work as the lead trainer of the Puppy Adventure Camp day training program at Summit Dog Training. This has further fueled my interests in helping support people through the challenges that come along with bringing home a new puppy, and helping them raise a dog that will be able to join them for a lifetime of adventures together. I share my home with a spirited and tenacious terrier mix (Daisy), and a sweet and sensitive collie (Chona). We enjoy exploring the outdoors together, and participating in a variety of sports including rally, agility, and barn hunt.

More info about Shay Cline's dog training:
I specialize in day training for puppies from 8-16 weeks; I work on teaching life skills, potty training, socialization, and gear conditioning/body handling. I also teach group classes for basics-advanced skills, and do private coaching/training for a wide variety of behavior goals.
Behavioral issue focus:
Puppy and Adolescent dog behaviors, frustrated greeters, and shy/fearful dogs
Dog training methods:
I train using positive reinforcement, and follow LIMA (least intrusive, minimally aversive) protocols when creating training plans. I collaborate with clients to help them choose training methods that feel obtainable, promote a secure/happy relationship between the dog and human, and maximize autonomy and welfare.
Why I became a dog trainer:
I originally became a dog trainer because I loved dogs, but stuck around because I love working with people. I enjoy seeing people light up when they see what their dogs are capable of.
My favorite part of being a dog trainer:
I love training because it often involves coming up with creative solutions. I have used a cardboard box as a training tool 100s of times, and have no doubt that there are a hundred more ways to use one that I haven't thought of yet.
My #1 dog training tip:
Ask for help! It's rare that we hit zero obstacles on a training journey, and it's a lot easier to navigate if you're not on an island. When I get stuck while I'm working with my own dogs, someone on my team almost always has an answer I may not have come up with on my own.

David Adams is a man of many passions, but his love for dogs stands above all. He is not only a dog lover, but also the founder of an innovative platform called Sniffspot. This unique platform connects dog owners with private property owners who are willing to rent out their space for off-leash playtime. While the idea of Sniffspot was initially conceived by his wife, Rebecca, David has been the driving force behind its remarkable success, tirelessly overseeing its growth and development.
David's dedication to providing safe and enjoyable spaces for dogs to play, explore, and socialize is evident in his unwavering commitment to Sniffspot. He strongly believes that dogs need ample space and opportunities to stretch their legs and have fun. As a result, he has worked tirelessly to build a network of private property owners across the country who share his vision and are willing to offer their space for the benefit of dogs and their owners.
Despite his busy schedule, David always finds time to indulge in his passion for the great outdoors. He loves nothing more than exploring new hiking trails and embarking on thrilling outdoor adventures. Whenever he is not working on Sniffspot, he can often be found hiking or visiting multi-acre fenced sniffspots with his two beloved dogs, Soba and Toshii. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys the fresh air, breathtaking scenery, and the sense of freedom that comes with being in nature.
David is based in Salem, MA.
